On the Grid : Poketo

"Originally an online store, Poketo moved into the Arts District as a brick and mortar store right at the beginning of the neighborhood's current influx of luxury lofts and shopping opportunities. Stepping into Poketo is like stepping into a delicately curated gallery of beautiful wares. Nothing in this store is not intentionally selected and placed in an artful way that just makes you want to pull out your wallet and spend your hard-earned cash on that beautiful ceramic vase or clever journal." - verynice

This poke spot inside the Japanese market is a total gem — fresh, fast, and seriously generous with the portions. It’s a simple 4-step menu setup with clear photos, so building your bowl is super easy, even if it’s your first time. You get all the fixings exactly how you like it — no skimping here. I grabbed a bowl, picked up some teas from the market, and ate it right in their dining area. There’s indoor seating in the market and even more space outside if you wanna chill. They also validate parking for the attached garage, which is clutch. If you’re nearby or already hitting up the market, don’t sleep on this spot — high-key some of the best poke value I’ve found in LA.

Been here a few times before but had a really strange interaction with the owner, Chris, on 7/12. I asked to do half salad, half rice in a poke wrap, something I’ve done many times before, and his reaction was surprisingly rude and over the top. The back and forth lasted five minutes and honestly felt egregious. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I’m all for supporting small businesses, but kindness and basic customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, that was missing here. Kindness and character matter. Those are the types of businesses we should be supporting. Chris, I genuinely hope you’re okay. Maybe you were having a bad day, but your energy was really off and hurtful. There’s no excuse for how you acted. Do right by your community, more now than ever.

The food is good, but the repeated price hikes are becoming ridiculous. A regular bowl costs $19.70 after tax, which is crazy for a place that does not provide seating and is to-go only.

Overall: 3.8/5 (Doordash delivery) We ordered via Doordash since they delivered under 30 minutes. The food was well-packaged and a good portion size as well. Poki Bowl ($17.64): For my base, I got half salad & half brown rice. For my side (you can choose 6), I got crab meat, cucumber, & onion. The other 3 (avocado, extra avocado, & extra crab meat) options cost an extra $1.50. They gave a big portion for the crab meat but I would have preferred more of the regular proteins. For my regular proteins, I chose salmon, spicy tuna, & tamago. The proteins were good but not very flavorful. They gave a small amount of tamago too. For my spice level, I chose mild spicy but it was more like no spicy to me. For the toppings (you can choose 8), I got wasabi, seaweed salad, ginger, furikake, edamame, crispy onion, & crispy garlic. I'm not usually a fan of seaweed salad but this one was good. The crispy onion & garlic remained crispy and were a great texture contrast for the rest of the bowl. I think they forgot the ginger though. It was a very homogeneous bowl so I thought it was okay. Miso Soup ($3): One of the best miso soup I had. Not too salty and it doesn't have the seaweed which I don't like.

Google
LIVE COCROACH /GRASSHOPPER IN FOOD!!! I complaint, gave it 2 days and nobody even called and apologized! they told me they can't do anything and to call door dash. This is the most disgusting experience with a food delivery ever. What's worse is them doing nothing about it, not even a refund or apology!! which I could post video of insect moving, DISGUSTING

Yelp
My go to poki spot in DTLA. Fairly priced and not skimpy with the protein the workers know what they're doing! I switch between the poki bowls and the wrap - both are great honestly. There are so many options and compared to spots like sweet fin this is just so much fresher and better in my opinion. It's located inside the grocery store which is nice because sometimes I grab a wrap and do my grocery shopping. You can also take it to go and sit at the tables outside. Super good, a must go.

Yelp
LOCATED INSIDE THE MARKET OF THE LITTLE TOKYO GALLERIA! I just thought I would put that out there. Park in the parking structure and your parking will be validated. Fast, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The Subway of poki bowls! My colleagues turned my attention to Oh My Poki and I have been a fan ever since. Enjoy your meal in the market, outside the market, or take it to go. If you choose the Poki Bowl, you have an option of two sides, fish & protein, and toppings. RECOMMENDED ORDER: Large Poki Bowl Half salad/half white rice Sides: cucumber & crab meat Fish & Protein: Salmon 2X, tuna & shrimp Mild sauce Toppings: ginger, seaweed, & furikake Enjoy your visit!

Yelp
This place is a hidden GEM! Sushi always tastes great, I've had a lot of other Poke and this is my favorite go to. Hidden in the market, so good. Also the fam seems very hard working, I see the same lady working there every time I go. I live close by and she is always there, happy and ready to serve. 10/10 recommend. Amazing service, amazing food!

Yelp
Does Oh My Poki allow doggos? No, it's located inside a market. You can get it to go and eat outside on the outdoor benches. Oh My Poki was a pleasant surprise. The price, portion and quality of ingredients were all very good. We placed our order online for pick up. Our order was promptly ready. This is a good place if you're looking for a healthier quick bite. We were really sad when Snociety closed, but glad to see Oh My Poki as an option.

Yelp
This is good poke. It's my go to for a nice place for to order from. They deliver, I get a mix of salmon and tuna.

Yelp
*doordash review* At roughly 17 dollars a poke bowl, the poke at oh my poki was oh so good. The fish: was indeed fresh as others claim. I did feel the tako (octopus) was a little chewy and varied piece to piece. Depending on how it's prepared it is supposed to be like that, but I was a little confused about the variability there. The last time I got poke was also in hawaii so there's a high bar to beat. Anyways, the the toppings: Delicious and plentiful. The seaweed salad wasn't too fishy and to my liking and the crab was not overwhelming with mayonnaise as these two toppings usually are. The ginger was nicely chopped which I thought was good attention to detail, in a bowl, it's nicer to have it this way to spread easily. Great lunch spot!

Yelp
It's located in the market. There is seating outside by the parking lot. The food was bland and store was difficult to spot. The tables inside had signs that were only for the other shop. So only tables were available outside. The service is ok. It's a bit over priced a large bowl for 17$ and didn't realize avocado was extra charge 1.50$. They do validate parking tickets for the parking garage.

Yelp
I have been going to oh my poki since their poke bowls were $10, which says a lot! My go-to spot since 2019, I have perfected my order over the years, the fish is always fresh and the toppings are enough(although I do miss their green onions). Love this place!
google avatar

Yula K.

Yelp
Drove here because of the good reviews and was very happy with my poke bowl! The regular size is a large portion for me, especially compared to other ~trendy~ LA poke shops around. They were also generous with the toppings and scoops of fish. Seemingly very fresh veggies and protein - I watched them cutting open a salmon right as I was placing my order. They are a little corner spot in a very large market. I picked up some dumplings and ribs while I was here for a very good price too. Make sure to validate in the market -- I drove to save the $4 delivery fee and then paid $4 for parking bc I did not validate LOL

Yelp
One of the best poki spots in LA hands down. Everything is fresh and you can taste it. Good portions and staff is kind and attentive. It's located inside a grocery mart inside a shopping mall. Parking is free for 1 hour, just bring in your ticket for validation. Been coming here for awhile now and quality is always top notch.
google avatar

Dayana O.

Yelp
I love this place. Portion is great for the size. The fish taste fresh, and it's cut up in small pieces which I really like. The staff is always super nice too!

Yelp
This plqce is my go to place! hidden gem in little Tokyo. They open until 8 pm. The fish is super fresh! Best Poke I've tried in LA area
google avatar

Kat K.

Yelp
This review is for their Poki bowl and my fav is the "burrito" Poki. The presentation of the poki burrito is actually made with your choice of proteins and veggies that's wrap by white sesame paper. This is an absolutely healthy choice since no processed carbs are used in the ingredients. The have a wide variety of proteins choices you can select from for your meat in your poke bowl or burrito. I recommend this place as it's an alternative if you're trying to lose weight :) all their proteins and veggies and really fresh even if it's being delivered .

Allisen C.

Yelp
This place is a little stall inside the market. 1 hour free parking with validation. Fish is fresh and poke bowls were really tasty! I love being able to customize poke bowls fully. Great portions for the price.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite lunch options nearby because it's super easy to order online and just walk over to pick it up (definitely recommend this approach because they can get pretty busy at lunch time). Like many other restaurants, they had to raise their prices a bit because of the pandemic, but it's still a pretty good value considering all the stuff they pack into each of the bowls. The large bowl is 5 scoops of fish (or tamago if you want) and then a TON of other mix-ins like imitation crab, seaweed salad, crispy garlic, furikake, wasabi, masago, and a bunch more. You can frequently see cutting them fresh fish behind the counter so you know it's not random left over cuts which you can also tell from the taste and feel of the fish. The fact it's inside the Little Tokyo market also helps because you can just pick up a drink while you're there or extra sides (if you somehow want/need them). I would happily recommend them to all!

Mina N.

Yelp
Located inside the market. Took us a bit to find this place but other than that... good Poki! Fresh and delish. Lady that made our Poki was super friendly too.

Yelp
Super delicious, fresh, and fast service! Ordered for pickup at a specific time and it was ready 10mins early, yay. Got three bowls (salmon, tuna, spicy tuna) for my coworkers and myself & we were all very satisfied. This place is surprisingly easy to access--it's inside the Little Tokyo grocery marketplace, which has free "5-minute" parking for pickup--as well as a garage that all the nearby shops validate in case you wanna stay and explore. Anyway, glad I discovered this place... will be coming back here for more work lunches for sure!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered Oh My Poki on Uber Eats based on the reviews on Yelp but thought it was fairly average. I got the regular half salad/half brown rice bowl with all tuna. The tuna pieces were largely cubed which I appreciated. For toppings, I added the green onion, masago, seaweed salad, furikake, edamame, and crispy garlic. All of which are standard toppings available at any poke joint. My bowl didn't have a ton of sauce or dressing which made it a little dry and flavorless at times. Despite this, portions were definitely generous.

Yelp
+ BYO Poki large bowl + Miso bowl + Iced coffee So worth the $. The ingredients are fresh. Ordered a salad+rice base. Salmon. Next time though I'll order a regular size this one has so much food left :) I'm not sure what else to say, but I'll frequenting this place again and again!!
google avatar

Yelp
Eaten here twice! It's relatively close to my work. I'm from the San Gabriel Valley where poke spots are aplenty. I'd definitely choose one of those places over this if I had the option to, but this place still hits the spot for sure. I won't comment on the taste, but I will say the ingredients were super fresh (this includes the salad base!). I also recommend getting at least medium spicy for your sauce if that is your thing! I feel like it's important to note that at Oh My Poki, their albacore option isn't fully raw. The pieces are seared on both sides which I thought was slightly odd. I didn't realize this until I got my scoops because menu photos show only raw pieces. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, this spot is inside the supermarket. Entering through the doors, it will be along the wall on your left-hand side. Parking is validated so bring your ticket! You might even need to specifically the cashier to stamp it because in the two times I've been there, they don't initiate to offer to do so.

Yelp
My favorite spot in little Tokyo for Poké bowel :) Located in a Japan supermarket!! The poke is super fresh and the guy that skins the Salmon doing exceptional work cleaning to salmon from all the bad stuff .. The toppings are also very fresh and nicely cut ! Highly recommend for anyone that looking for a good poke in Little Tokyo in LA :) Order food and good Sit on a bench outside and enjoy it ... Tip .. ask the chef to mix the poke ball before giving it to you .. mix all of it :)

Yelp
Best poki in LA. This has been my neighborhood poki shop for the last 3 years. Food is always on point, staff is always friendly and there is never a wait. Just a heads up this is inside the little Tokyo market grocery store.
google avatar

Rico R.

Yelp
Everything about these Monster Pokì bowls are addictive! The seafood is fresh and the portions are perfect. I reccomend this over all the poki around.
google avatar

K F.

Yelp
overpriced and they're frugal with the portions for what you pay. plus it wasn't anything to ride home about.
google avatar

Sade M.

Yelp
This is the large poke bowl. I asked for 5 scoops of albacore and it's very obvious that there's only 1 scoop. Between the delivery fees and everything it came out to nearly $30 for a bowl that's not even at the halfway mark. ‍ I was really looking forward to trying this place because of the great reviews, but VERY disappointed. I know it's unrelated to the restaurant, but my delivery driver even left my poke bowl out in the blazing sun and didn't bother notifying me when they delivered it... to the wrong address. I take it might just be a bad day, but can't help but feel bitter over paying nearly $30 for a half-assed bowl. Two stars because just from the first few bites, it's delicious but definitely not worth the trouble.

Yingxi L.

Yelp
Ordered the most expensive monster size poke ball and apparently they decided not to give me any toppings - no edemame, seaweed salad or kurikake so my bowl looks like a sad slimy piece of crap. Albacore also tastes like chicken. Just be aware
google avatar

Bobby J.

Yelp
The fish here is fresh and the poki bowl is delicious. The only thing is that it is pricey. A 3 scoops of fish bowl cost me 16 dollar.
google avatar

Dora H.

Yelp
I had a strong craving for poke, and surprisingly only found myself a handful of options to choose from... Oh My Poki is the only poke spot in Little Tokyo! You will find them in the Supermarket, near the bakery, and food court area. It is surrounded by prepackaged food you may purchase such as bentos and assorted sushi! They do offer validation in their structure, but you don't have much time to browse and carouse (unless you eat fast)! Oh My Poki offers the usual poke bowls, poke salad, and burritos for those who would like to consume a giant hand roll! They have a fair assortment of toppings, and give you 3 options for fish! Their sauce department is a bit lacking, but they do carry the basic flavor I enjoy in my poke bowl so I was pleased with the overall bowl. I would recommend ordering the rice over the salad if you're hungry, because they do not offer a bigger bowl when ordering salad. Since the bowl is quite small, it feels as though you get a lot of fish! I enjoyed my meal and will definitely come back when craving poke!
google avatar

Katie V.

Yelp
My husband and I had a Poke craving and decided to give this place a chance based on all the great reviews! We ordered directly through Yelp and our order came early which was a nice surprise. We decided to order 2 regular sized bowls. Base: brown rice Main Protein: Salmon Spice level: Spicy Spicy Toppings: Crab meat, ginger, edamame, onion, crispy onion, crispy garlic, furikake, avocado, and cucumber. This was all for $14 ($13 for a regular size poke bowl, and additional $1 to add avocado). Such a great price for the portion you receive! The salmon was fresh as was the rest of the ingredients and it was everything I wanted! Sweet, savory, spicy and FULL of flavor! It definitely satisfied our craving and am so grateful to have found this place! I would definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Achita S.

Yelp
This place is truly a hidden gem. It's located inside the market and I'm so happy that I found it. You have a wide variety to choose from, everything tastes fresh, and on top of that- friendly customer service which always is a plus. 10/10
google avatar

Ariana D.

Yelp
It's a little hard to give this place anything but 0. I just ordered some delivery and it was delivered to my location, and sure it looks fresh and I was so excited to try it but I can't. They didn't give me any utensils in my order. It almost feels petty to write this review, but it's upsetting that a place who advertises and encourages online delivery won't double check for basic necessities. I ordered from them because there's no food around me. I did not get my order delivered to my home, so I really can't eat without provided utensils, which typically comes with to-go items. Super upsetting, and very discouraging.

Yelp
Was looking for a good Poke spot in LA and came across this, when I arrived the place was easy to find , the food was amazing, extremely fresh. What I loved most was the menu, it was easy to build your own bowl and it's probably the best poke I've ever had. I will definitely be going back.
google avatar

Bells W.

Yelp
I mostly come here because it's one of the better poke spots in DTLA and it gets the job done to satisfy my sashimi cravings. The product itself is solid and pricing is on par at roughly $14 for 3 scoops of protein but the downer is that bowls are on the smaller side. It's located inside a grocery (Little Tokyo Marketplace) and the line moves pretty slow even if there are only a few people ahead of you. They carry plenty of seafood options and all the toppings are quite fresh but I will admit that the topping variety is a bit limited. They have most of the toppings you would expect at a Poke bar but the selection is by no means outstanding. I would love to see them have corn, mangos, or dried seaweed as an option one day. And while Oh My Poki isn't exactly my first choice when it comes to poke, it's a solid contender in the area.
google avatar

Kelsey H.

Yelp
Came in for lunch on a weekday. We easily found parking in the structure, but quickly got lost in the mall. Its not obvious but it's inside a small food court inside the market on the first floor. I had a bowl on brown rice. You can pick 3 proteins which I think was pretty great for the price ($9) and they have a good selection of toppings, crab, seaweed salad, masago, ginger, etc. All of the basics. My only complaint is I usually like spicy mayo on my bowl, and they don't have that. You actually can't pick your sauce, you pick a standard of spiciness and they fix it for you. It tasted good, but I like being able to pick. We forgot to get our parking validated so I'm not sure if you actually can, but when leaving the garage we told the attendant that we forgot and she let us out with our receipt. I wouldn't count on this, but it was nice.
google avatar

Maria T.

Yelp
Yuuuuuummmmmm so delicious! Poki is one of my favorite foods and I didn't know there was one in this market! Add as much toppings as you like and proteins no extra charge! Flavor is a 10/10
google avatar

Noah G.

Yelp
nice experience nice ppl nice date food was overall like same quality as poke co imo they did have good variety of options for protein
google avatar

Anton K.

Yelp
We love this place and been going pretty frequently. Their wraps just amazing. Absolutely recommended
google avatar

Phyllis R.

Yelp
I ordered here before but I don't remember their fish to be like this. Salmon and Tuna didn't look fresh at all.
google avatar

Cassandra C.

Yelp
Ordered here for lunch from Postmates! I paid $16 for a large custom bowl. I went with rice, crab meat/cucumber/onion/edamame, mix of salmon & spicy tuna, mild, topped with crispy onion, crispy garlic, masago, green onion, seaweed salad and furikake. Requested a side of spicy mayo. Food arrived on time and correct! (Sometimes these deliveries get mixed up). Now $16 is expensive, BUT, I had enough to last me for a whole other meal. So $8 for each meal. The portions are extremely generous. Poke was perfect - delicious with just the right amount of each portion. We would order from here again!
google avatar

Gregory G.

Yelp
OMG! This is a cute little restaurant nook inside a supermarket. The place was really clean, and the server was really friendly. The size of the bowl is a good size and they fill it completely. It truly is a hidden gem. This is probably one of the best Poke spots I've found in LA and they're prices advertised already includes tax. My poke bowl was $10 flat! Please stop by and show your love and support for this small business. Especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
It's ok. The rice was hard and undercooked. Almost threw my bowl out. The fish looked and tasted good and fresh. For some reason didn't give me soy sauce which is annoying to find out later when you're eating it outside somewhere. I don't know. An authentic place wouldn't serve undercooked rice though, it's just not right. I thought because it was in a Japanese market it would be super legit. Guess not.
google avatar

Angel B.

Yelp
With tax and delivery it came out to $36 for a regular and a large bowl. SPICY They don't F around with the spices though. I eat spicy food on the reg so this hit the spot but they mean it with their levels. I got a half rice / salad bowl w: spicy tuna, tuna, and shrimp (which looked lightly cooked and slathered after in a paste...maybe siracha). SALT Beware that the toppings can be salty so if ur watching your intake you may way to skip the crunchy toppings (onion / garlic - not exactly sure what had the salt though). But once you mix it in, ur fine I just reduced the soy sauce. The medium bowl is your typical yoshinoya size bowl, but trust - I got super full. OVERALL VERDICT It's a typical poke bowl.
google avatar

Yenny D.

Yelp
I love poke and I'm enjoying this poke craze that LA's still having! I was grocery shopping at Woori and decided to pick up lunch at Oh My Poki and I'm glad I did! $9 for a regular size poke bowl and no tax! Like most build your own poke places, you choose your base, your types of fish and toppings. The different thing about this place is that they don't have a sauce option for you, just a spiciness level. I chose medium, and they mix your fish choices with their marinade and spice level. Medium has a kick, so I'm glad I didn't go any hotter. Good portion size for a good price! Friendly people, conveniently located inside the Woori (next to the bakery) and they valdiate for parking as well.
google avatar

Brandon Y.

Yelp
A bit unassuming, I'm glad that we checked Yelp on our last Sunday in LA to find this gem! Inside Little Tokyo Market Place, on the first floor of the mall area, Oh My Poki is pretty easy to miss. You have to go past the checkout counters to the end where the food is and actually enter through the turnstile. What got me was the price - typically for a bowl of similar size, it's definitely $2-3 more back in the Bay Area. Decent size scoops, I had the salmon, scallop, and albacore, which were all quite fresh! The sauce is more of a dressing, and I opted for no spice - I hear it can get pretty hot spice-wise. Overall delish and affordable!
google avatar

Ha L.

Yelp
They are super generous with their toppings! But I could barely see any salmon or tuna in my bowl; they are in such small chunks with a small quantity.
google avatar

Roxanne M.

Yelp
Love this poke spot! Fresh ingredients all the time. You get to create your own poke. They also have a variety of bases but nothing too outlandish (white or brown rice, salad). Unlike other poke places, their spice level is only no spice, medium or very spicy - there are no variety of sauces available. If I'm not mistaken, they have 12 toppings total. For something that's inside an Asian food market, it is a great deal to have. They have a limited number of seats in front of the store itself and few more further down by the market's cashiers. During lunch time, there could be a line but it goes by fast! They do validate for 1 hour parking. I highly recommend this spot! Great for lunch!! Will definitely be coming back soon.
google avatar

Jenny V.

Yelp
3.5 stars I have been here couple of times and I liked it. Whenever I'm craving salmon I would come here and order the monster size bowl $12 for monster size you get to pick 4 protein instead of 3. I loved coming here because they didn't charge for avocado and the protein are decent. I would've gave it a four star but now they are charging $1 extra for avocado and the quality of the protein is now okay, it gets really mushy when mixing with the other ingredients. It's not bad if you want a quick meal.
google avatar

Angelica B.

Yelp
I have tried several poké spots all over LA, but this is the best one hands down! I come so often, the owner knows me and my usual order by now (he's super cool by the way)! Believe me, the poke here is fresh, the portions are perfect, and the flavor is incredible. I usually get a poke bowl with white rice as the base, then I add avocado, crab meat, onion, cucumber with my 3 fishes being albacore and two scoops of spicy tuna, and I get it SPICY topped with edamame, seaweed salad, green onion, masago, furikake, crispy onion, and crispy garlic, I call it the "Naomi Special"! You'll have no regrets when you come to Oh My Poki, I just can't have it for a while because I'm pregnant and that's probably the only thing that sucks because I love Oh My Poki a little too much!
google avatar

Linsey F.

Yelp
This poke spot is inside a market to the left. Park as soon as you enter on the parking structure closet to the market. And don't forget to get the parking validated.
