Oh! Porto

Some pros and cons Cons. very noisy(train that nobody can do much about) and walls seem very thin so you can hear your neighbours, street noise and drone noise one day from neighbouring businesses. Smallish room and small bed. Pros. Location is amazing, close to the centre and restaurants, bars View from the window over the river stunning. Staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast delivered to your door is amazing and great fresh food and fresh orange juice. Great steady WiFi All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the cons certainly didn't detract from our enjoyment. Huge kudos for the staff and breakfast

We only popped in for a drink on their terrace bar- it was a perfect little quiet haven in a bustling city (we went on a Tuesday afternoon and had the entire place to ourselves!). The ladies working were very friendly and the service was great! Really reasonably priced with great views over the river!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Located in walking distance from the Douro River's restaurants, market stands, & wine cellars; but be prepared for the hills especially if you have large luggage. Additionally, as many other reviews point out, the metro travels right above the hotel, which unfortunately doesn't seem to have double-glazed windows so it can be a little loud, but with ear plugs to sleep, I was personally fine. The room had a bit of an awkward layout due to its narrow shape, so my partner & I kept knocking ourselves on the corner of the bed. The room was also quite dark, lacking both natural light & ceiling lights (this is likely what contributes to the mould on the ceiling). However, it has a kitchenette space including a mini fridge. You are also provided with a breakfast basket each morning (however we did wonder what was done with everything we didn't eat, & if it just went to waste?). Staff were pleasant & accommodating, including adding more vegan items to the breakfast basket once I informed them of my diet.

Oh Porto is a great studio. It is clean and spacious with open layout. The view is stunning - it is a treat to sip a glass of wine before bed with the view to the Dom Luis Bridge. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is more than enough for the 3 of us with fresh squeezed orange juice, bread， croissants, yogurt, fruit….-and much more. If I visit Porto next time I would like to stay here again.

Very nice location and views. Excellent service and care. Nicely decorated apartments with a bridge and river side view. Easily walkable to main attractions.

Oh!Porto apartments are situated in Villa Nova de Gaia just across the Luis bridge and have the most incredible views of Porto. We stayed in the top floor apartment with a balcony overlooking the river and Porto - the perfect spot to welcome in the new year!|The apartments are simply furnished, clean and well maintained. Ours felt really spacious. All the staff are lovely- very friendly and helpful - e.g. offering us umbrellas on our way out, checking when we wanted house keeping.|The breakfast baskets delivered to your room each morning are outstanding- full of fresh, local produce.|The use of key pads to access the room and side gate makes access really easy.|The apartments are situated on a steep hill (as is most of Porto), but everything is in easy walking distance- bring comfortable shoes!|We’d love to visit Porto again and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else but Oh!Porto apartments.

Located next to the only walking bridge to go across the river into Porto. Easy access to the river, the river walk, Port wineries, restaurants, etc... It has a beautiful view with patio seating. It has a small kitchen with stovetop, coffee maker, toaster, and refrigerator. Could have used a microwave, but it was easy to make due since the breakfast provided was very nice. Staff was easy to work with and the elevator ran very smoothly. I would happily recommend this location. (Also, we were traveling with 2 small children and they provided a crib and portable bed.)

After staying in 4 different hotels in the Porto area, I feel confident stating that Oh! Porto not only has the best view, but also the best customer service and best complimentary continental breakfast. The rooms are more than spacious, tastefully decorated and modern, and comfortable. The location is very convenient, especially if you plan to tour the wineries - they're all walking distance on an adjacent street. Yes! The location is ideal even though it is in Gaia - across from Porto proper. We couldn't stop raving about this place to our friends! All charm - this hotel is also relatively quiet (compared to staying in the nearby Ribiera area), save a few moments when the train goes by during waking hours, and felt very safe and secure!
