Google
Wow - we just happened to be craving Korean food and was in the vicinity of this restaurant. The reviews got us in and they were not wrong. Food was excellent. The fried chicken dish is huge. 3 of us and we could not finish it (though we are not huge eaters) but it’s still bigger than normal. Server was very nice and very helpful. If we’re ever in the area again, we would go back just for the chicken.

Relatively unknown yet known corner of Edmonds St and Mary Ave, it's a restaurant where Korean uncles go after work or Korean dudes hanging out with each, having chicken and beer. Of course they also have other foods, food is tasty, but deco is what you expect, IU and Jisoo soju posters, Korean comedian poster, kind of like a forgotten restaurant in some side street off the main street in Namdaemun, Seoul. I had the beef rib soup or galbi tang (which tasted really good) beef ribs generous portion, my picture only shows one piece but there actually five 1"-1.5" rib pieces in the soup. Glass noodles barely to be found though, could put more. Combination of basically not much of a service, the price (not cheap), atmosphere, great tasty food, I was first inclined to give 4 stars but I cannot really justify it, 3.5 stars will be the best rating but there are no half stars so I guess it will have to be 3 stars.

Google
I tried the Spicy Pork Don and the Spicy Beef Cream Udon at Zhu Sam, and both dishes absolutely exceeded my expectations. The spice level was spot on—just the right amount of heat to enhance the flavor without overwhelming it. The pork don was rich, savory, and perfectly balanced with a generous portion of meat and rice. Every bite was packed with flavor. But the real standout for me was the beef cream udon—unbelievably creamy, juicy, and comforting. It was unlike anything I’ve had before (We couldn’t wait to eat so the pictures were rushed! They don’t do justice) Can’t speak to the atmosphere as we did takeout! Prices were very reasonable for the quality. I loved everything about this meal and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I’ve noticed that the prices have increased quite a bit lately, and there have been a lot of changes to the menu—it feels a little different from what it used to be. Some items that were previously included, like the self-serve fried rice, now come with an extra charge, which was a bit surprising. Also, being asked to tip even though it’s mostly self-service left me a little confused. I still appreciate the food, but I do miss how things used to be. Hopefully, they’ll find a good balance again, as they’ve always been one of my go-to spots.

The food here is a 5/5. We tried the fried chicken (half and half), japche, galbi and some edamame. It’s walk-in and is mostly available. The server though wasn’t very friendly. I mean she brought the orders and all but she wasn’t helpful or even wanted to chat. So, go there for food and not for service.

Staff were super nice even we came a little past last order. Food was amazing, definitely a top 3 Korean food in Vancouver. THE FRIED CHICKEN W FRIES CANT BE GATEKEEP!

Google
We enjoyed their food. Lots of selection. We even ordered take home and they were delicious. The price is good too. We make it a point to visit them whenever we go to Burnaby. We are from Chilliwack and it was our son who introduced us to this place.

Yelp
Been for several dinners at Oh! Zzhu Sam Korean Restaurant, known for their hot plates and stone bowls. It's next door to European Butcher Boy. Never a long wait for tables but always have to ask for drink and banchan refills. Majority of their dishes are with cheese but you can get it without. - Banchan - glazed potatoes, kimchi and pickled radish. Nothing special. - Miro bossam ($27.99) - pork belly was succulent. Good ratio of meat to fat. An abundance of onion. - Spicy pork don in hot stone bowl ($16.99) - a legit dolsot bibimbap. Crispy rice, good spice level. Pork was excellent. - Seafood tofu soup ($17.49) - lacking depth, but the sundubu jjigae was decent. - Spicy cold noodle - no longer on the menu. - Red crisp chicken ($27.99) - generous portion. Sauce coated the chicken nicely. Wish they had a half/half option. - Gamjatang ($17.49) - good depth to the broth. Chunky pieces of pork meat. Solid. - Tteok-bo-kki ($16.49) - standard fare. - Kimchi soup with pork ($16.99) - broth was excellent; well balanced and homey. - Jap-chae ($18.99) - glass noodles clumped together slightly. Flavours were bland. One of the better Korean spots in Burnaby.

Yelp
Pa Dak (Korean green onion jalepeno chicken): (10/5) was the best fried chicken I've ever had! It was such a massive portion, so I thought the price was very good! I think the pa Dak could easily be shared with 3-4 people if you want to order their other dishes. I would definitely order this again and recommend to all my friends/family to order this. Seafood pancake: 3/5 due to the fact that it was pretty thick (instead of the traditional thin) and not crispy at all(more so just greasy)

Yelp
There are lots of good food in the Edmonds area. We had Korean food with my sis and BIL and it was oh so very spicy I am so glad we ordered the honey garlic fried chicken. The sweet fried chicken definitely helps with the spicy food. We ordered a small chicken and octopus hot plate. We picked mild for spiciness but it was way too spicy for me. I was sweating like a pig We also ordered pork bone soup which is still spicy but less spicy than the hot plate. We saved the two bowl of rice and cook it on the hot plate. My sis's attempted to make crispy bottom rice but there were too much sauce so it didn't really crisp up in the end. Overall, the food is good but my spice tolerance was not up there If you are a spicy food lover, so give them a try.

Yelp
Vancouver is home to so much good food and this Korean spot is no exception. It's not big and looks a little dark from the outside but the inside is hustling and bustling with people! The jjusami here is so delicious and portions are really solid. Was here with my parents and we polished it off with some extra rice. We also ordered seolleongtang on the side and it was great to cut the spice and sweetness with. The jjusami also comes with a bowl of bean sprout soup that is a great compliment, but we were very glad that we got both types of soup. I'm also just a soup gal so I can't go wrong with more. Tasted super authentic and was in a very tidy location. Would recommend to others in or visiting the area :)

Yelp
We came here for an early dine in dinner. I hadn't been here since Covid. They're known for their stone bowls and soups. Our rating overall was 3 out of 5. Ambience: 3/5 Food Taste: 3/5 (Seafood pancake - crispy pancake filled mostly with small shrimp, limited tiny pieces of squid & big chunks of green onion. Enough to share with 2 people) (Seafood tofu soup - a decent portion for one with spicy option avail) (Spicy Pork Bone Soup - easily shareable for 2 - 3. Came with big chunks of pork) Both soups came with a bowl of rice. If you like crispy rice go for the stone bowls! Food Value: All our dishes were less than $20. Good value with leftovers. A small dish of complimentary appetizers came with our meal. Service: 3/5 average. We asked if the portions would be enough for 2 people but gave us the incorrect info. Location: off of Edmonds & Mary street. Free parking in the residential neighbourhood if you're planning to stay more than an hour.

Yelp
My Girlfriend introduced me to this place awhile back and has always been a favourite of ours to frequent. We usually do the soups, but since it's summer we decided to do their Specialty Stir Fry. We got the Pork and the Octopus and chased it down with some Traditional Korean Rice Wine called Makgeolli. The Pork and octopus are tender and when simmered in the hot, sweet, spicy sauce it pairs so well. The Makegeolli is also quite nice! It's a bit nutty and has that fermented rice taste also similar to rice cakes you can find in asian bakeries. Love this place and will be coming back often.

Yelp
Randomly found this korean place and thought of trying as i could see that it was packed. (Which generally means food is delicious) After 5 minutes wait, me and my friend got seat so while we were waiting, we saw pictures of two menu items that looked interesting so we ordered them. 1. Seafood pancake - God or the cook in the kitchen knows what batter was used to make the pancake but it was an art. The way seafood was cooked with onions and vegetables and then turned into a flat pancake was very interesting but it also tasted yummy. Not spicy or over salty. Crispy and crunchy . Small prawns were falling out while eating and basically they were steamed. 2. The other was an octopus and chicken dish which was not curry. Perfect spices and again not spicy as we asked them that way but you can get ur own spice level. The salad on side was pickled , tangy and flavour full We were so full to try anything. So i will go again.

Yelp
I've been to many Korean restaurants but this one hits a bit different. The flavors taste like your grandma made it! Hard to explain you just have to try! We ordered the spicy intestines with glass noodles (extra spicy for me). My friend had the japjae. Both were delicious and well portioned. We shared the pork bone soup, perfect for this rainy Vancouver weather. Will come back to try the fried chicken and have soju with my hubby soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Another great Korean place along the stretch of Edmonds. Parking is available on the side streets. The inside is typical Korean style with some wood paneling and dated soju posters. Staff were friendly. Appetizers - potato chunks in sweet sauce, kimchi, and turnip and onion slices in sweet sauce. M1 spicy octopus with pork - the medium size is good for 2-3 people. Add fried rice for a few dollars more. I've been told to skip the cheese option. The mild option is probably medium to hot by North American standards. In other words, this is awesome. Guess I'll be trying medium spicy next time. The rice is added after a chunk of the main dish is eaten, to soak up the sauces. A wee bit pricey to be honest, but the food sure is tasty. Might come back at some point.

Yelp
Friend's recommendation brought the three of us here to one of many Korean restaurants along Edmonds Street in Burnaby, BC. Ambiance of the place is your typical Korean style restaurant decorated with an abundance of wood paneling and Soju advertisement posters. Staple Korean appetizers arrived before our entrée: potato chunks in sweet sauce, fermented cabbage & turnip, and kimchi. Bean sprout and green onion soup was also served before our main dish. We ordered the M1. (Zzhussam) Spicy stir fried baby octopus and pork from the Main Hot Plate section. Decided to go with the medium portion as was told small is good for 2 people and the large is just right for 4 to 5 people. Judging from past experience in other Korean eateries and the menu tip *Eating bean sprouts can cool the spicy flavours* the consensus was to choose mild spiciness. Added 2 side portions of fried rice to be mixed with the stir fry at the halfway point of the meal to obtain satiety. Overall the meal was tasty, we were all able to savor all the ingredients of the dishes without the spice drowning out it's true flavours. A bit pricey in my opinion, but will be back to enjoy their other offerings. There was only one waitress / cashier present to serve dine in customers and handle take out orders. I commend her efficiency in juggling the two tasks at the same time. Free street parking is available along Edmonds Street and side inner streets.

Yelp
The food is awesome and spicy. Most places don't have enough spice as they cater to the Canadians but their dishes and service are fantastic.

Yelp
We had ordered the japchae, bulgogi and ox tail soup for two people. It was more food that we could eat as the portions are a decent size plus we didn't want to stuff ourselves. The bulgogi tasted better than some other places as it seemed more fresh and the flavors were balanced. Some places just drench the beef with sauce so you kind of lose the beef flavor. The ox tail soup was good as it was something my girlfriend wanted as she likes her soups. It wasn't bland or salty and the meat was tender. It was light so you don't feel like you just had an overwhelming or intense soup but something that makes you feel like a good wholesome soup. She always has homemade soup so it satisfied the need for a soup. I really liked the japchae because it has a lot of items in it. The mixture of vegetables, meat and noodles was good. The noodles were cooked just right, not too soft or hard. The amount of sauce was good to, as each bite was rich in flavor.

Yelp
One of the many Korean restaurants located in the Edmunds neighbourhood of Burnaby, we came here for take out on a Saturday night and found that it was quite busy. We got the LA Galbi, Bulgogi Deopbap, Jeyuk Deopbap, and the Seafood Pancake. The LA Galbi and the Bulgogi were both marinated well and tasty and the portions were quite large. The seafood pancake, on the other hand, I wasn't a big fan of. It was quite thick when normally it would be quite thin and felt more like a pizza than a pancake. Overall, the food was not bad.

Yelp
Delivery this time!! Price: $26.39 Food: 10/10 I'm in love!! Packaging: 10/10 The packaging is very careful and still keep the heat of the fried chicken. Having this for the second time in a week, and I realized I was addicted to it. A huge portion of crispy deep-fried chicken with cheese powder covered the outside, then dipped in a rich cheese sauce ... It's perfect for a weekend night. I ordered by uber eat but when this was delivered, it was still as crispy as when you enjoyed it in the restaurant. The packaging is very careful and still keep the heat of the fried chicken. It served with pickled radish, however, the sauce served was a bit less. Though, the fried chicken without the sauce is still great enough.

Yelp
Oh! Zzhu Sam is located on Edmond St and Mary Ave in Burnaby. We came here for late lunch and ordered few basic item on lunch menu. Steamed dumplings - it's good but not great. Stir fried glass noodles - it's delicious and taste different than others Korean style. The beef short rib soup - it's good value as a lunch special for $10 and surprisingly tasty. I would go back if I pass by that area again.

Yelp
Ordered the baby octopus and beef pot (known here for), butter corn and the spicy chicken feet. The pot comes in three diff sizes and its shareable! For a small pot, it was a lot of food and they didn't skimp out the baby octopus. When I go to korean restaurants, I consider how good their kimchi taste and here its perfect with a little kick to it. Normally when I asked for extra spice at other restaurants, its never spicy but here you get what you asked for! I can live without the chicken feet as it was too sweet for my liking. However, I will definitely return with friends to try out other foods! Love supporting family businesses!
google avatar

Amy T.

Yelp
We shared the hotpot soup for 2 for $28. Decent size and price was on point. Family run restaurant with good service. They take credit cards and cash.

Yelp
Oh! Zzhu Sam is worth a visit if you're craving Korean and are ready for big portions. The spicy tofu soup was a standout. Come here with a group and share a bunch of dishes, like we did. [Dishes] Spicy Stir Fry Pork - big portion, a nice lingering spice. Quality of the meat could have been better. The radish side dish was a nice counterbalance Spicy Tofu Soup - the star of the show. Great flavours and textures. The tofu was silky and the shrimp added a depth of seafood flavour. Deep fried sweet and sour chicken - your classic westernized Asian chicken nuggets. Not my cup of tea, but a crowd pleaser. Some pieces had too much breading. Japchae - nothing special here, just some good Japchae. Could have used a little more meat. [Value] ~$90 for five people, and we had leftovers. Definitely good value for money.

Yelp
Fantastic Korean food. Super homey. Service is always great and understanding to allergies. The zhu ringle chicken is great

Yelp
I can't comment on the dining experience here since I ordered their food from uber eats. That being said, I absolutely loved the cheese tteok-bokki and spicy chicken feet! I would definitely order those again. The seafood pancake was pretty good too. The pah dak (crispy chicken with green onion and jalapeno), however, I thought was mediocre. It didn't have much flavoring to me and isn't something I'd order again- plus it's on the pricier side.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is not holding back on the spicy level at all! It's one of the most spicy dishes I have ever had in Vancouver and I can do the Spicy Ramen noddle challenge, no problem. The food itselft and the portion are very good actually. We ordered medium size chicken and baby , LA galbi and steamed egg. The octopus tastes fresh which is a plus as not many restaurant knows how to treat octopus . However, I wish they could adjust the spicy level as they said everything was marinated in the same kind of sauce ‍. If you can love , check this place out!

Carmen L.

Yelp
This is the spot to go to when you're craving spicy baby octopus and chicken! They have three spiciness levels mild/medium/spicy. Their dishes definitely have a kick to it so if you can't handle spicy, just stick with mild. The octopus and chicken is our go to because you can't really go wrong with chicken or octopus. Comes with side dishes and bean sprout soup. Side dishes and soup aren't amazing but that's not important because the grilled octopus and chicken are the main stars! Prices are definitely on the higher side for the portions. About $34 for the baby octopus and chicken plus $3 for fried rice.

Yelp
Good food just around the corner! Big servings of food, I had Bim Bim Bop with fried pork and it was really good; the server was really nice she came around making sure my wife and I are ok. Will be going back again for my Korean fix.

Meimei Z.

Yelp
Oh Zzhu Sam () is known for their dish, which is a stir-fry dish with baby octopus, pork belly, shrimp, rice cake, vermicelli, pork intestines and various veggies. The baby octopus is extremely tender and flavorful, and is definitely a must try when you come here. When you finish the dish, make sure to ask for rice and seaweed to make a bomb fried rice to finish off your meal We also tried the fried chicken, which were also really crispy and tasty

Yelp
This friendly neighbourhood Korean place is a gem. It's not too well known as it's located on Edmond Street, in a location very easy to pass up when you're driving or bussing. Regardless, this is one of my favorite Korean places. I was here with a friend and ordered the small Zzhu Ko Ko ($32), which is spicy stir fried octopus and chicken. The "small" is enough for 2 people, as in you don't need to order anything else on the menu and having this alone is filling enough. However, everything else on the menu looked great as well... It also comes with bean sprout soup which is quite a treat. The pot contained vermicelli and even two prawns (bonus!) in addition to the octopus and chicken. The good thing about it is your food is always scorching hot, as in the hot plate is heated underneath with flame (also fun to watch). However, do stir your food or it will BURN. You can always ask the staff to put out the flame if your food is burning. Their normal spicy is extremely spicy for the general population. Hence, if you're not a big fan of spicy, ask for MILD or your taste buds will be toasted. This is one of the few places that actually makes food spicy enough for my liking. If you really don't eat spicy, pick the non-spicy options. Overall the store is clean, the staff is kind, and do pick up a free candy on a way out to sooth your burned taste buds.

Yelp
Octopus and beef hot plate $36 was delicious! Comes with bean sprouts soup. My mom and I also ordered two bowls of white rice. We got less than medium spicy (the spicy level here is spicier than most other Korean restaurants. My mom thought it was spicy but I thought it could be spicier!! Great portion for two, (I ate most of it lol) and great tasting food!!
google avatar

Tara C.

Yelp
Portion size is insane, so keep that in mind when ordering (makes the pricing seem reasonable). We enjoyed the kimchi fried rice and the fried chicken of happiness but could easily have just shared one portion (who knew?) There's so much to try here so we will definitely be back. Solid service, too!

Joyce P.

Yelp
Loved the service and the food! We ordered M3 which was the Spicy Beef and Octopus Plate, and the Cheese Fried Chicken. Both were on the sweeter side but still incredibly delicious. There was a yogurt dressing that came with the fried chicken - I would have liked it if it was saltier/tangier to balance out the sweetness of the cheese powder.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Ordered the wings, kimchi fried rice, and the cheese bul-dak. The wings were and the bul-dak were good. Tasted better compared to some of its counterparts. However, the kimchi fried rice went below my expectation. For me, it tasted too sour. Will be back to try some other items.
google avatar

Joanne L.

Yelp
Cheaply made and not done the right way. I suppose if you aren't Korean or don't really know Korean food you might enjoy their food, but I am neither. I ordered the yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) and ttukbukke (spicy rice cake) w/ramen for my husband. The beef soup is supposed to be made with brisket but instead just had some cheap cuts of stew beef in it. The spicy rice cake was more sweet than spicy . Would not order from here again as there are lots of other Korean restaurants around that make food properly. Girl at the front when I picked up my food was very nice so she earned them 2 stars instead of one.
google avatar

Amos A.

Yelp
Jus the way they do it in Korea! Well they are a Korean family but you know what I mean. Very authentic, very lovely and inviting family run place. Get the pork and octopus spicy thing, and get rice mixed in after with cheese! It's a pity they are hidden away from the Kingsway stretch. I don't mind sharing this gem to make it a little busier since it's one of those things I don't really eat too often. But when the craving hits you just gotta goooo
google avatar

Kawaii R.

Yelp
You will be full and may even have leftovers. Generous portion for my order of Tonkatsu. It was huge and good. Complementary Korean side dishes always a nice addition. The sauce for the tonkatsu was also very nice. On takeout they also provided extra sauce. Tea also of acceptable quality. Would come back again.
google avatar

D C.

Yelp
Ordered the octopus and pork belly dish served on the hot plate to keep it warm, as well as the bulgogi with rice lunch special (comes with bean sprouts soup). Both are pretty good (octopus tender). I went mild in spice but even that was a bit much for my friend, so might ask for less spice if you are not used to the normal spicy Korean food flavor.
google avatar

Chan H.

Yelp
Have been taking out their signature dishes (Spicy octopus with pork belly) multiple times. Love their food. For dine in option, it's bit loud music/place so not really baby/kids friendly but it's good place for causal dining with friends or Co-workers

Yelp
It never surprises me how often restaurants come and go... it's a tough business, especially in a fickle place like Vancouver. I was driving by the Edmonds area of Burnaby last December when I noticed that a new restaurant had recently replaced Lui's Chinese Restaurant. The thing that really caught my eye was the name of the new restaurant... Oh! Zzhu Sam Korean Restaurant. I'm sure the name has something to do with the food they serve... probably related to the picture of the baby octopus in their logo. The interior of this restaurant has been cleaned up a bit since the last time I've been here. On my first visit, I ordered the Dolsot Bibimbap ($13) which arrived with a selection of banchan including potatoes, bean sprouts, and kimchi. The thing that I like about dolsot bibimbap is how the rice gets crispy on the bottom of the hot bowl. It was a pretty good version with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, cucumbers, bean sprouts, tasty beef and topped with an egg yolk. Just pour some of that hot sauce on top and mix it all up for a great tasting rice bowl. I came back for a revisit the following week when it was freezing out so I opted for a hot bowl of Galbi Tang ($10). This is a soup made with beef short ribs, egg, onions radish, enoki mushrooms, and glass noodles. It was served boiling hot, as most Korean soups are, and had plenty of beef attached to the bones. It was a good option to keeping warm during the winter. The banchan were slightly different this time and included potatoes, kimchi, and pickled veggies.. I returned for a revisit about 3 months later and opted for their $9.50 lumch special... Bulgogi Deopbap or Beef Bulgogi on Rice. The dish also contained rice cakes, onions, glass noodles, carrots, cucumbers, and chives. I really enjoyed the rice cakes in this dish but felt like the beef needed a bit more flavour. So far, the items I've tried have been pretty spot on... might want to come back here and try some of their octopus dishes.

Yelp
Oh! Zzhu Sam is just outside my house so I was extremely excited that a Korean restaurant had opened up so close to home as I usually have to go out further to satisfy my cravings. I usually do take out and order the Cheese Tteok-Bokki, which is a spicy rice cake dish, and a bulgogi deopbap, a dish with bulgogi and rice. While the tteok-bokki was tasty, I found the bulgogi deopbap was quite average. It came with a few sides but the bulgogi came out to be very dry from the two times that I have ordered it, which is why I'm giving an overall review of 4/5. Otherwise I can't say much about this place just yet even though it's so close by as I haven't actually sat in the restaurant and have only ordered the same two things twice. But I do look forward to actually sitting in and enjoying some of their other dishes in the near future!

Tuyen D.

Yelp
Was craving Korean food and found this new place near home so we went to try it out. Great place! Amazing food and very attentive and friendly waitresses. We order a (S) M1. Zzhu Sam (spicy octopus & pork belly) R2. Dolsot bibimbap (rice assorted veggie and minced beef in hot stone bowl) And H2. Galbi tang (Short rib soup) all the flavours were there but not over powering Everything was just right even all the side dishes were on point.

Yelp
The service was very fast, I ordered the baby octopus and beef hot plate and it was ready within minutes. It had a great heat, lots of flavor, and they didn't skimp on the meat at all. The small portion was more than enough for two, probably closer to a serving for three. The menu looks pretty deep so I definitely want to come back and try some more.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best places for this type of Korean food. Had the pork and octopus. Hope you like spicy..... Sooooo good! Will definitely be back!

Jason K.

Yelp
This review only reflects a to-go order on a bibimbap. I always prefer hot-stone style but due to the pandemic circumstances, I just to-go'd a regular one. Service and other, I wouldn't know because I was in and out. Person who gave me my food / transaction was nice enough though. The bibambap is WEAK. Since the pandemic I've just been frequenting places around my area and I was disappointed. Consists of bean sprouts (not mung mean; vs ), sauteed carrots, steamed(?) or sauteed zucchini, shiitake mushrooms, ground beef and the sauce. It's the amalgamation of the ingredients that give bibimbap its unique harmony of flavors. Unfortunately, it lacked depth of flavor pretty harshly. What makes bibimbap, is pretty much the red-sauce condiment that goes with it. It is what makes or breaks the dish! and sadly, I prefer other places for the taste of the sauce (unfortunately it tastes worse than the H-mart one i bought couple weeks ago D: ) If you were to spend some cash and can get around to areas I cannot, I prefer the Tofu-Soup places on N. Road. They include more variety of vegetables + a soup (Koreans need soup for meals); usually a soft tofu- lightly spiced soup, better side dishes. At this location of zzussam, I only got a 2oz container of okay-kimchi. Other Korea places offer usually 3~4 different varieties of side dishes (not limited to but in general: marinated seaweed, marinated thin fish-cakes, steamed broccoli with cho-jang, black beans reduced in soy-based sauce, soy-based picked veggies, Kgah-dugi - a cubed radish kimchi dish, baek-kimchi aka white Kimchi, marinated bean sprouts/mung bean sprouts, mayonnaise-based salad, marinated squid and in some really fancy (but not price-wise... since it costed the same for bbb) places, even marinated raw-crab. Comparing to the same price and quality (even less so in my case...) I would return but would never order any of their bibimbaps. I would go for what they're known for... their octopus/meat pot thing with crispy fried-rice at the end. I just hope it lives up to the ones I had in Korea... but then again, never hopeful in Canada. Fauck the pandemic, yeah? I can't wait for the pandemic to be over so I can try their specialties (which is what makes the shop run - literally the name of the shop). I'm not a huge fan of jjuggumi but there are other options I would try. In Korea this is a popular drink-menu/ meal option. Goes well with alcohol and good company.

Yelp
Good pricing and great food! Tried Zzhu Sam for both mild and medium spicy and deep fried sweet and spicy chicken. Really love that which keeps me coming back for more. If you like spicy Korean food, a most go place.

Yelp
It's a quaint and cozy restaurant where you can pop in for a lunch or dinner. The location is in a pretty good spot and is the only Korean place close enough to Edmonds that's delicious and an easy access. I recommend the deep fried spicy sweet and sour chicken wings and spicy soft tofu soup with seafood. The seafood pancake also makes a great appetizer.

Yelp
Very good food! Our first time here. We just want to try out the food. We find the taste are very good. The place is neat and clean. Service is good , and the price is quite reasonable too. We will go again !

Yelp
This might be an overreaction but I just had the perfect kimchi fried rice. Spicy with tanginess and a perfectly cooked egg with runny yolk to coat the rice with. Service was good on a Friday night and there was parking out back. If you need Korean comfort food, look no further!

Yelp
I came here as I missed my bus and was hungry or hangry as I like to affectionately call it. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall and it was somewhat quiet inside, however, I took a chance 'cause the alternative waiting in the cold rain didn't seem like a good choice with a 30 minute bus wait. The customer service was super friendly the minute I walked in which made me feel better on a day like this. I had two servings of the deep fried dumplings which was really good. Dumplings and grease and fried things in general seem to be my comfort food, therefore, this was a good combination. I've never had my dumplings like this before and it was a good introduction and flavor. The price was very reasonable and the service was very prompt. The dumplings were a little too hot for me to finish before my next bus came, therefore, I had them served in a to go container in case I had to leave right away.

Yelp
A girlfriend and I ventured to this new place located in a small neighborhood Edmond Street. Service was great - food was good for one dish - Spicy Pork Bone Soup but the other dish which was the Stone Rice Bowl was disappointing. It was half full & the rice on the bottom wasn't crispy enough. But it was a good place to chat.
