Room: clever construction, enough space for a family with up to 2 small children. Beware of the steps though, they will hurt you. Something I will never understand are the Swedish showers that will almost certain flood the bathroom. Therefore it’s hard to maintain the br dry if you take a shower here. The room is ‘equipped’ with a bike, which we didn’t use, nevertheless it’s a nice feature. Also the small kitchen area has enough equipment to cook small meals and clean all up. In this way it’s more like a small apartment. All in all it wasn’t too clean though, we saw a lot of dust.
The area: as no breakfast was included in our booking (and I am not sure if one is available), you are dependent on facilities in the neighbourhood which were a bit underwhelming. That means you need to take a bus into the centre, or walk. Both options cost you at least around 20mins to get to your destination. Other than that, Västra hamnen has a nice waterside behind the Turning Torso giving you a beautiful view on the Öresund and towards Kopenhagen. But that’s almost it, we came to experience Malmö’s beautiful city life and that’s somewhere else
