Spent the morning working from O’Henry’s while I’m Birmingham for business. Absolutely fantastic service and great coffee. Wonderful environment, too. Hope to visit again sometime!

The best Espresso coffee in Alabama. Coffee shop looks really nice. There is place in and outside on patio. Inside looks nicer to sit and enjoy the coffee.

The barista has a vast knowledge about coffee. They have a really wide selection of ground and whole coffee beans. Their cinnamon rolls are delicious. In the winter I love their hot apple cider. The herbal teas are always good. Lattes are always strong the way I like. This location has lots of seating.

O’Henry’s Coffees is a beloved Birmingham institution that has been serving the community since 1993. With multiple locations, including spots in Homewood and near Samford University, it has become a go-to destination for coffee enthusiasts and casual sippers alike.

At the end of the day, you just need to be honest with your customers and I feel like this establishment takes advantage of the area/ “upscale clientele”. Long story short: $6.50 for a medium black coffee with ice in it. And the prices are not even listed on the menu. When I heard 6.50 and the girl(who seemed to be working very hard genuinely) just poured black coffee from a fridge into a cup of ice, and then rang up the amount, I immediately almost walked out. If you are going to charge such high prices, have the courtesy to display the prices on the menu. Not ONE ITEM on EVERY DISPLAYABLE MENU had the cost. I go to lifetime fitness. You get what you pay for. Yes it was decent coffee, but 6.50 for a cold brew in Alabama and to not be honest with the price is SHADY. And if I had known I never would’ve ordered from here. I even mentioned to the girl “wow 6.50 is alittle steep, why aren’t the prices displayed?” And she says they aren’t listed as the price is always adjusting…… sounds like a greedy business. I am sad as I felt like I got robbed today. Do better O‘Henry’s. Display your prices

Love this coffee shop! Some Of my favorites about this place: 1. There are two enclosed booths which allow more privacy for meetings. You can reserve these but you need to call the day before. They are almost never just open. 2. The patio space is amazing. There are outlets to plug in your computer. 3. The iced oat milk lattes with Carmel! I do wish it was bigger because it can be hard to find an open table inside sometimes.

In the words of Gordon Ramsey, "finesse". This coffee shop is a lot different than others in a near proximity, simply because of the finesse. Looking back, the outside should have been all it took to convince me that this was the coffee shop to visit, but instead I visited a competitor first. But that's okay! Because now I have! And I've learned things! So many delicious, made-to-order, coffee drinks to choose from. Plenty of intimate seating options for studying or meetups. The staff was fabulous, answering all of my senseless Yelp inspired questions. I'll pay the extra $1 for the delicious experience of coming here. 02-19-2025

I was in Birmingham for the weekend and did a quick search for a coffee shop in the area. This coffee shop was less than a mile away from our hotel- so off I went to give it a try! It was busy for a Saturday afternoon with no available indoor tables but the ambiance was very cozy! I love the decor of the shop- esp the different coffee beans displayed on the walls behind the counter. I wanted to try more than one flavor so I opted to order two small drinks instead of one large. The seasonal drink ordered was a pecan pie latte. I ordered the drink iced but it came hot so I didn't fuss about it and decided to drink it. The other drink was an iced turtle latte- which was on their regular menu. Both drinks were smooth and balanced. If you love in the area or will be visiting Birmingham- you should give this place a try- you will enjoy it!

Not sure why this place has such bad ratings but it's great. The interior is super cool and cozy. The menu is amazing!! They have such a great selection of fall specials and they even have stuff like frozen / blended coffee drinks. It's a great place to sit and work or hang out with friends. They have good food too. Highly recommend

Drinks made right 1 out of 5 visits and if you request a food item not warmed to save for later- too bad you her it thrown in the microwave. Waste of $12, and you get watch if you tip. So nice pressure to tip- before finding out my entire order was wrong.

I've only been here a few times, the staff is always super friendly. Vibes are nice, and get me hyper focused on my work. They're also very accommodating on the foods that aren't premade so I highly recommend swinging by. I do have social anxiety, and like going up to the counter knowing what I want so I'm posting clearer photos of the menu for those like me

Ok, 2 things to start with. First of all O'Henry's is a coffee house, not a French restaurant with a formal dress code and violinists who come to your table to perform, so knock off the pretentiousness of not disclosing the prices of your menu items. It's rude to the customers. Secondly, why don't you stay open later. Some people do work during the day and they may not get off until after your decided closing time. I know that the pandemic affected the hours of operation a few years ago but the pandemic has been over for years now. Coffee houses have always been sort of a social gathering spot, like a bar. Now, not so much.

They don't hire anybody and then the employees they do have seem so unhappy to be there. I feel so much negative energy from them. It's like they're brooding at work. Don't let those Karens steal your joy! Then you try to spread that negativity to me?? Nah Drinks are overpriced and just taste like sugar. Amazing cranberry orange muffin but those fantastic anywhere. I like all the nooks and crannies at this location to camp out and study. I live super close and would go more often but it's not worth going there when the employees are depressed and want you to leave

I don't know how this place has 2 stars. It's great-- very expensive looking sign and interior, and in house roasted beans. I got a specialty drink, the Irish Cream Dream I think, and it's great. The espresso is sharp and refreshing. Great areas for studying too and plenty of seating. Also I got a 20 oz for like $5.66. So I thought that was very affordable.

This review is for the O'Henry's Healthy Way location in Vestavia. I've been here a few times but today was a "meh" experience. First the good... the location is convenient to the Colonnade and all the new development around Cahaba River Road. The atmosphere is spacious, nice, and a good place for hanging out with friends or working. The staff is friendly and service pretty good. The bad... 2 main things. The coffee and the price. While O'Henry's is a good roaster, the drink execution was poor. My latte that came out lukewarm at best. Not cool for a chilly January afternoon. Also, a medium latte for $5.33? Seriously? O'Henry's is totally guilty of price creep, and it's at all locations. I suspect that after their sale a couple years ago they're trying to squeeze out additional profits for the investors, but they're sacrificing quality and competitiveness. With Innova right around the corner and apparently a new Santos popping up nearby, both with arguably as good or better coffee and at a lower price point, they really need to up their game.

I ordered a chocolate chip muffin. I received a blueberry muffin. I returned for my correct muffin. I once again received a blueberry muffin. I immediately corrected the server and told them I paid for a chocolate chip muffin. THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER BLUEBERRY MUFFIN. Three times they gave me the wrong muffin. Not across weeks, days, or even hours. MINUTES. I don't know what y'all are smoking at this location, but good grief, get it together.

Had two oat milk Lattes and a cookie. Pastry was good and the lattes came out fast. Inside of the store and the bathrooms were clean.

I guess the new owners of O'Henries only care about their in-store coffee drinkers and not about coffee bean sales anymore. A pound of coffee is $20 which is $1.25 per ounce and yet, sometimes they short you as much as an ounce. If you complain, they will fix the problem but you have to call them. It's not like they don't have a scale but I guess some employees just don't care. The website has had the hours of operation wrong for the Patchwork Farms location and I have made a special trip to get coffee only to find them closed. Recently, they ran out of bags and would not sell me any coffee even though I offered to supply a bag for them to put it in. I have loved O'Henries since they roasted beans in the front of the Homewood store but now that they have sold to new owners, I guess they don't even appreciate those who are buying the most coffee from them. I would not guess that the average in-store coffee drinker is spending $200/month for drinks like I do beans.

Our coffee was not even lukewarm. We ordered an orange cranberry muffin which was ok and we were told the scone contained cranberry/orange but it was spicy sausage and cheese. I'm not into surprise food. I don't see how they stay open. The O'Henry's on Lakeshore is great. This location definitely needs improvement.

The first time I visited this location my frozen coffee was full of chunks of ice. Several times I've tried to go back and now the hours of the store don't match the advertised, they close before 7. Overall, not great

Best location, the service is awesome and their cold brew is the best thing ever. If you are looking for a good and cozy environment with friendly interactions this is the place to be!
