I really love this place for so many reasons — the food, the staff, and the prices. If you’re looking for a top-rated brunch and lunch restaurant in Toronto, this spot consistently delivers. Everything I’ve had so far has been excellent, and each visit reinforces why I keep coming back.
The Chicken Katsu Sando ($22) is one of the best Japanese-inspired sandwiches in Toronto: buttery toasted bread, perfectly breaded and crispy chicken katsu made with juicy chicken leg, crispy shoestring fries seasoned with nori, and a refreshing garden salad with sesame dressing. It’s filling, flavour-packed, and worth every dollar.
The Mushroom Spinach Benny ($18) is a standout brunch dish — two English muffins topped with perfectly runny poached eggs, heaps of sautéed mushrooms, a bright yuzu hollandaise, and crispy smashed potatoes. It’s rich, comforting, and one of the best eggs benedict options I’ve had in the city, especially at this price point.
For pasta lovers, the Shrimp Mentaiko Spaghetti ($26) is a must-try if you’re searching for Japanese fusion pasta in Toronto. It’s loaded with tiger shrimp, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and nori, and delivers bold flavour while staying creamy without dairy. The Miso Mushroom Spaghetti ($21.50) is incredibly addictive — a perfect balance of creamy, salty, and umami, making it an ideal choice for mushroom lovers and vegetarian-friendly dining.
Portions here are generous, which makes this restaurant great value for money. I always leave full and satisfied. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall dining experience and makes it feel like a true neighbourhood favourite.
A few things to note: the restaurant is small and cozy, with tight seating and compact tables. If you prefer more space, they also offer an excellent $9.95 takeout deal, making it a great option for affordable takeout in Toronto. The space can feel cold in winter and quite warm in summer, so planning ahead helps.
I highly recommend making reservations during the week and arriving early on weekends. If you’re searching for a popular brunch spot, Japanese fusion restaurant, or value-driven eatery in Toronto, this place is absolutely worth visiting.
