"Ohma is a glitzy diner and cocktail bar in Bodø, giving a Far Eastern spin to the city's abundance of fresh fish. Defined by its black lacquer paneling and geometric tiles, it features floor-to-ceiling windows with striking views of the harbor. The pan-Asian menu includes platters of sushi and dim sum designed to be shared. Standout dishes include yuzu-topped halibut, salmon, scallop sashimi, crispy Californian rolls, and plump dumplings pairing pork, scampi, and jalapeno, best experienced at the weekend buffet lunches."

Super pleasant experience with kind staff and super good food. Had the Kimchi Beef Rice. Added just a bit of soy and sweet and sour sauce and mixed it all together. Ouff… so good. It might be a bit too spicy for an average Norwegian, but if you like a bit of a burn to your tongue 👅🥵, go for this one. Thanks to chefs and staff 🙏🥳

Quite popular place so it was not easy to get a table but the staff was kind enough to fix one for our family. Food was flavourful and tasty but we would have loved a bigger portion size. They made a vegetarian dish for us which was a bonus.

We stopped in for a few appetizers last night and had our socks blown completely off by the quality of the food and wine. The service was excellent as well and nearly all the tables were full. We had the Pork sweet and spicy, popcorn shrimp and edamame. I will be dreaming of that pork.

This is a busy place and deservedly so because the food is excellent. I had the Chicken Dumplings and some Edamame beans as a starter. Good but not exceptional. The main was a Kam Kon Pot which was like Beef and Shrimp in a black bean sauce. Served with a bowl of rice. Delicious! Desert was a chocolate cake (tiny) with a topping of partially dried pineapple. The chocolate was very dark and rich and the pineapple sharp and sweet. It was a great combo and I loved it. Excellent service.

One of the tastiest sushi in the whole of Norway. Presentation spot on. Fancy place.

My dining experience at Ohma was nothing short of delightful. This cosy sushi haven is adorned with a pleasant decor, emanating a warm, inviting aura that is instantly palpable upon entering. Yet, as charming as the setting was, it was their sushi that truly stole the spotlight.

A really cosy and inviting place to eat. Food was delicious but some items were Luke warm - all rectified without any fuss. Me yes are available in English and Norwegian and staff speak both. Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was good.

Yelp
I never would have expected to find a sushi restaurant in Bodo, Norway. The restaurant is modern, upscale, and clean. The tables are nicely spaced. The bathrooms are clean. The service is helpful and attentive. No complaints at all. Very attractive restaurant. We started with some sushi. One roll was king crab and the other I don't remember. Both were good but probably not super authentic. We also ordered some whale meat to go with the sushi (see my pictures). We did not know to pour the sauce over it. until the waiter told us. The sauce makes a HUGE difference. The first try the whale was, as they say, interesting. Once we poured the sauce the whale meat was excellent. For an entree I ordered the crispy duck. It was a bit different from what I had before, but the flavors were good and I enjoyed the dish. I probably would want to try something else from the menu; there were many interesting things that piqued my interest. The star of my dinner was the Belgian dark beer. It was incredibly smooth and flavorful. Perfect pairing with the salty sushi. If anything, the beer made me realize that I need to get to Belgium sooner rather than later. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal and I definitely would return.

Yelp
Ohma lies in the same building as the Radisson Blu Hotel in the Bodö Harbor. The ambiance here is fantastic with clean modern lines yet warm dar woods and brass lighting. I get greeted straight away by a waiter and he makes sure I am happy throughout my visit to Ohma. I order a mixed sushi plate for dinner and am very happy with the selection. Scallop, hamachi, flatfish, tuna and salmon - the usual suspects. This dish is also served with six maki made with salmon, avocado and chili majo - delicious!! My only complaint is that the rice was not perfect, and I know I am picky with sushi rice, a little too hard for my taste. After spending some time in Bodö I am guessing this is one of the better restaurants there are in this town. Well done Ohma!

Yelp
Came for lunch on a Saturday in May. Had looked at their menu in advance, but didn't realize that they only offered the sushi menu and sushi buffet (239 NOK per person) during lunch hours. The restaurant looks fancy, but the food just can't really match it. The buffet mostly had mediocre sushi (heavy, soggy rice, but a nice variety of tastes) in addition to four soggy salads (with beef or shrimps) and a warm dish of fried chicken in peanut sauce (w/ rice). Left disappointed and smelling like fry. Would like to come back and try the evening á la carte because it looks promising, but I will definitely not come back for lunch.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere and service with awful Japanese foods. Foods look nice but taste really funny. This place is not for the people looking for authentic Japanese food. It may be OK for the people looking for fusion style.
