Santorini's Best Wineries, Wine Bars, and Restaurants

"Tucked down an alley off the main tourist thoroughfare in Oia, Oia Oenosart has been one of the island’s first wine bars since 2015; its pergola-covered patio resembles a pleasant taverna that belies the seriousness of the wine program. Inside an old captain’s house I find a cache of 250 labels of rare and mature Santorini wines — book a table for an afternoon flight or tasting or linger over dinner with a trio of mezes, sea bream, and a bottle from the cellar." - Lauren Mowery

Everything about this place was amazing. I told both the staff members that if this were a restaurant in the US, they would be fully booked at all times. Yes, it is that good. My husband and I ordered the white eggplant, spanakopita salad, lamb, and the lemon dessert. Each dish was unique, incredibly flavorful, and the presentation was amazing. My server Jo was an absolute delight and gave recommendations for other local favorites on the island. If you are visiting Santorini, Oia Oenosart is a must visit!

I have a romantic dinner with my husband on my birthday here. I love the taste, we ordered 1 starter and 1 main dish, we feel a bit pity that had only three shrimps. My husband talked to the waiter, and that’s beautiful surprise when he brought extra shrimps for us. We were so happy and we left some tip. There is a small shop with beautiful arts from Greece artists. We like the place and people, strong recommendation.

Amazing experience! Atmosphere and service we're excellent and the food was amazing too! There is even a side with AC! We had the charcuterie and the artichoke salad. Easily fed the 2 of us plus the homemade lemonade was incredible! No picture of the food because it was gone so quickly!

We passed by Oia Oenosart earlier in our trip and thought it looked so charming, we made a point to come back for dinner — and we’re so glad we did! The ambience is beautiful and truly feels like an authentic Santorini experience. The staff were absolutely lovely, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the wines. We had the Cyclades salad, cuttlefish tagliatelle, homemade pasta, and the fish of the day (sea bass) — every dish was fresh, unique, and perfectly prepared. We also did a premium white wine tasting flight and loved learning about each selection. One of the best meals we had on the island!

One of the best restaurant we experienced in Oia. Both for breakfast and dinner. All staff members are very welcoming. The different terrasses are well decorated and quite. Food is typical and tasty and cocktails very nice.

What a great place to stumble on, we enjoyed the atmosphere from the start along with the curated selections of wine and beer. The food was very nicely prepared we enjoyed it.

Great wine list, with a huge number of wines available by the glass, which allows for really interesting options and great pairing. The staff know their stuff and are happy to talk about the options, so let them pick for you given that this is a bit off the beaten track. If you're a tourist here, trying and buying the local wine is a pleasure, but also a duty! Food was really good. There was a dill risotto, which sounds a bit unusual but it just worked and the texture was spot on. It's off the main path in Oia and has no caldera view, but it also had peace and a great vibe, which is honestly the real prize for most of Santorini. Also, you've been looking at that view all day long already. Lastly, it has artwork exhibited from local artists, which is worth looking through because there a some nice pieces and they're very affordable. But also because if you want to remember Santorini, it beats a t-shirt from Mainland China every time.
