Absolutely delicious, I would actually have gone again. You have to make a reservation though because it is crowded. We were put outside with the warm heaters and shared Fava, tzaziki (I would have put more garlic), and Saganaki (delicious!). The meatballs and eggplants were really good served very hot !! It was all in the quality of the ingredients and I enjoyed eating less known yet traditional greek food.

A very pleasant spot located in my favourite neighbourhood, Petralona. It’s worth making a reservation in advance, as it can get quite busy. Good food, great atmosphere, and a relatively short waiting time. I had the rabbit with vegetables and some tzatziki - it was great! A nice surprise for me was that the tableware was made by a Polish company 😉

Instagram has made this a popular place for tourists so it didn’t feel so much like a local Taverna but it is still a wonderful restaurant to add to your list in Athens. The location is great and a little bit away from the bustle of the Acropolis. The food came out quickly and wasn’t very hot but it was all very tasty and had a home-cooked feel. We had the stuffed vegetables, meatballs and a Greek salad all of which we would recommend. If you’re in Athens I would really recommend this restaurant for a beautiful atmosphere and some great food.

The food is truly excellent — the beans, stuffed cabbage, and lamb are must-tries. The ambiance is very warm and cozy, it genuinely feels like you’re at home. I enjoyed it so much I came back two days in a row. The first day, service was lovely thanks to a kind and attentive lady. The second day, a gentleman seated me inside facing the kitchen, despite many better tables being available. Still, the food and homey vibe make this place well worth a visit.

I could not think of a better place to try traditional Greek food. This place feels like your grandma would cook a meal for you during your childhood summer trip. There is a great food selection, and everything tastes amazing. Also, big portions (perfect to share) and great service!

Very cute classic taverna. Plenty of traditional dishes to share. The lamb roast, tyrokafteri and eggplant imam were delicious!! Only complaints are the cabbage rolls were not served hot and the dishes came out too quick.

Really great food, the stuffed cabbage leaves were to die for. Mostly Greeks coming to dine here which was a great sign to me. The best Greek restaurant I have been to without a doubt. It was quiet on a Saturday night and very pleasant atmosphere and music. Also, really reasonable prices.

Couldn’t recommend this taverna more! Some of the most refined traditional food we’ve had during our stay, and really kind service to top it off. For meat eaters, you must try their veal, which was super tender. For veggies, there are plenty of yummy options. The cherry on top was the cinnamon almond semolina dessert for a light and fragrant finish.
