"Friday is fish day in the Caribbean, and the village of Oistins, on Barbados ’s southern coast, hosts its famous Oistins Fish Fry. During the week, market stalls sell fresh dorado, barracuda, swordfish and more. Come Friday night, locals, dressed in their finest, along with tourists drink beer and rum and enjoy heaping plates of grilled fish, fish cakes and lobster. Stalls sell crafts, and everyone dances to live music from the band shell."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oistins Fish Fry, Barbados – A Must-Visit! The food at Oistins Fish Fry is absolutely amazing — fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The vibrant music and lively atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for a fantastic evening out. It’s a truly authentic Bajan experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the island. Tip: Get there early, around 7pm, as it fills up quickly — you’ll want a good spot to enjoy everything this iconic place has to offer. Don’t miss it!

Amazing experience. The food was beyond delicious. The Kingfish on the grill was more than satisfying. The sauce was delicious and classic. Rice and fries along the side finished the dish perfectly. Can't wait to bring my family!!!!!!!

It’s an experience. Very busy, lots going on can be a bit overwhelming if crowds of people aren’t for you. Food is nothing to shout about, but it’s alright. Wouldn’t visit again, but I can tick it off the bucket list. Wasn’t a bad experience, just not a fan of too much hustle & bustle.

This was quite an experience. Authentic Bajan seafood. One place I tried served superb fried Marlin with rice. It can be noisy here but it is a socially oriented dining scene. Very vivacious, very musical, a part of Barbados you must see if you visit

The fish market is open every day, but it’s simple, the must come days is Friday and it’s the best time of the week to go. Definitely come early, at least before 6:30 to get food from Pat’s place. One of the best fish markets I’ve ever been to and definitely a good time for all ages and of all people of color. Barbados definitely know how to put on the show.
