Okajoki holds a special place in my heart as it was one of my grandfather’s favorite izakayas in Nakano, where my grandparents lived. Sitting at the counter is truly an experience—watching the fish cook near the fire adds a unique charm to the meal.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious: the salad, agedashi tofu, sashimi, onigiri, and karaage all stood out with their fresh flavors and perfect preparation. 🍶🐟🍙🥗
If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese izakaya experience in Tokyo, Okajoki is a must-visit.
