I visited this place about 10 years ago. Back then, it wasn’t lavender season so I didn’t get to see the fields in full bloom, but I always remembered it and looked forward to coming back someday.
This summer, I finally made the trip from Vancouver, driving over four hours and then getting stuck in traffic again in West Kelowna, just to visit this farm. When I arrived, I was shocked to find a sign at the gate saying it is no longer open to the public. There was no clear notice online or on Google Maps to let people know in advance.
It was incredibly disappointing to come all this way only to turn around and head straight back into traffic. I really hope the farm can update their information online so that others don’t waste their time like I did.
It is such a beautiful place and it’s a pity that visitors don’t even get the chance to enjoy it anymore.
