Okapuka Safari Lodge

Okapuka is the best lodge we stayed in during our two weeks in Namibia. Situated at n the middle of a huge private game reserve, with animals roaming the grounds and visiting the rooms. Rooms are large, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The food is wonderful and service is excellent. The offer game drives and other activities. Highly recommended!!!

What a wonderful experience we had! Service was so friendly and attentive without interruptions during spoonfuls. The staff were so kind and entertained our kids (2 & 4 this mom could finish a warm cappuccino). Delicious meals prepared and the pastries with breakfast! Wow! Thank you so much Ms. Constancia and team, Mattejo will especially miss you. The tea time in the afternoon is an added bonus! 👌

We chose this location to break up our drive back to the airport from Etosha. The location was great being an hour from the airport. However, it just doesn’t compare to what you get in other places in Namibia. We waited 30 minutes after being seated to be able to order water - and food. Staff were just standing around and never looked our way. Another couple had a similar issue. On checkin, there were other guests also complaining about issues with the manager quite angry. The game drive was fine. No complaints, but feels very much like Disney/theme parks to see their animals. They drive very slow and it just doesn’t compare to what you see in other parts to see them in the true wild. The guide did a good job, but just generally can tell it’s not the same. We knew it wouldn’t be the same as up north, but hoped for a better experience to end our trip on. It was fun to be able to spend one more night feeling like we were in nature, though. Similar to other Gondwana properties, it feels like they are targeting mass tourism (buses/group tours) rather than the experience. With some better staff training and overall more care for the customers, it could be a lot better.

The tour were very cool but the Vegetarian Food Option wasn‘t edible!

This birthday getaway was the perfect choice! From the moment I arrived, I was pampered by the welcoming staff—from check-in at Reception to enjoying delicious meals, afternoon tea, and even having my chalet door promptly repaired. A special highlight was waking up to a slice of my favorite chocolate cake on my birthday, accompanied by a heartfelt song from the staff. Overall, my stay was truly amazing and unforgettable, made even more special by the rain. Even now, I often find myself reminiscing about my time at Okapuka Safari Lodge—the cozy lodging, the delightful meals, the moments of reflection, and the warm interactions with the staff. Thank you for an incredible experience!

Not good service. Have to wait a while for anybody to ask what you like to drink. Floors very dirty after Sunday lunch

We had an amazing time at Okapuka. All the staff were super friendly, the food was amazing and the rooms were spectacular. Really enjoyed the game drive too and our game-driver Simon was very knowledgable and interactive. Will definitely come back in the future.
