Okatse (Kinchkha) Big Waterfall

The 20 price was a bit too much for this but it's well built with walkways, platforms and steps. It's a nice walk in nature but the falls itself doesn't worth you too come out of your way for it. If you are already in the area and willing to pay 20 for a 20 minutes walk do it.

The Okatse waterfall is truly majestic — you can feel its power even from afar. Everything around is tidy and well cared for, with great modern paths and viewing platforms.

Okatse Waterfall, located near Okatse Canyon in Georgia’s Imereti region, is usually an impressive 70-meter-high natural sight. However, during this season it loses much of its charm — the flow is reduced to a thin stream of water. Another drawback is the cost. You have to pay 20 GEL just to enter, and the same fee applies to many other natural attractions across Georgia. After walking all the way to the ticket booth and seeing the price, we decided to turn back. Visiting multiple sites quickly adds up, and in some cases, the entry fees cost more than your meal. Overall, I found tourist attractions in Georgia to be quite expensive, and this one wasn’t worth it for me in its current state.

We were told by security that it is closed and we couldn’t find a way how to reach it. But we found other small waterfalls that are free of charge. You can reach it easily with your car. No need for 4x4. If you want to see waterfalls for free go stairs down and then turn to the right. The place has clean toilets and a parking for about 20 cars.

Disappointing experience. Only possible to walk on the metal walkway far from the actual waterfall which breaks the experience. 20GEL for adult foreigners is way to much for this view that should be natural.

The experience is good better to spend more time on that place. It needs at least 7 kilometers walk with some hiking stairs.

Gigantic carbon walls with a small waterfall (large in spring) There is an excellent driveway close to the falls. The walkway is very safe. In the evening is the fall lighted and a laser show starts after sunset.

Visiting Okatse canyon is a truly remarkable experience filled with natural wonders. The towering rock formations and vast expanse offer an incredible sense of scale. Exploring the trails allows one to appreciate the beauty of the landscape up close. The stunning views and unique perspectives create lasting memories. Indeed, the canyon is an outstanding destination.
