I recently spent three nights at Oki Doki Hostel in Warsaw, and it quickly became one of my favorite hostel stays. From the moment I arrived, the building itself charmed me, it has a lot of character and is situated in a truly fantastic location for exploring the city.
The staff here are outstanding. They were incredibly welcoming, spoke excellent English, and were always available to answer any questions I had, offering great local tips. Their hospitality really makes a difference.
As a solo traveller, the social atmosphere was a huge highlight. The hostel does a great job of encouraging guests to mingle, especially with the nightly Happy Hour from 7 PM to 8 PM. It’s a brilliant, low-pressure way to meet people and make plans for the evening.
When it comes to the facilities, everything was clean and comfortable. My room (Room 36, on the top floor) was spacious and I appreciated that the staff seemed to clean the dorms every single day. And if you find yourself on one of the higher floors like I did, you'll definitely appreciate the really cool, old-school elevator!
While I did have a couple of inconsiderate roommates during my stay, that’s just part of the hostel experience—you either get lucky or you don't! It was absolutely no fault of the hostel itself and didn't detract from my overall positive experience.
Overall, Oki Doki provides charm, comfort, and an unbeatable social setting. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Warsaw.
