The 6 Best Hostels in Warsaw (Updated 2025)

"I found this hostel very centrally located and ideal if I prefer pubs and bars to museums, since the surrounding streets are full of drinking holes; there’s also a nightly happy hour that makes it easy to meet fellow travelers. Dorm beds have thick mattresses and privacy curtains and don’t creak, there are female‑only rooms and lockers (though the lockers aren’t huge), and some rooms offer AC for an extra fee. Overall it’s a lively, social place that makes connecting with other travelers easy." - Matthew Kepnes

I recently spent three nights at Oki Doki Hostel in Warsaw, and it quickly became one of my favorite hostel stays. From the moment I arrived, the building itself charmed me, it has a lot of character and is situated in a truly fantastic location for exploring the city. The staff here are outstanding. They were incredibly welcoming, spoke excellent English, and were always available to answer any questions I had, offering great local tips. Their hospitality really makes a difference. As a solo traveller, the social atmosphere was a huge highlight. The hostel does a great job of encouraging guests to mingle, especially with the nightly Happy Hour from 7 PM to 8 PM. It’s a brilliant, low-pressure way to meet people and make plans for the evening. When it comes to the facilities, everything was clean and comfortable. My room (Room 36, on the top floor) was spacious and I appreciated that the staff seemed to clean the dorms every single day. And if you find yourself on one of the higher floors like I did, you'll definitely appreciate the really cool, old-school elevator! While I did have a couple of inconsiderate roommates during my stay, that’s just part of the hostel experience—you either get lucky or you don't! It was absolutely no fault of the hostel itself and didn't detract from my overall positive experience. Overall, Oki Doki provides charm, comfort, and an unbeatable social setting. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Warsaw.

Affordable, social, and super friendly place to stay in Warsaw! Oki Doki Hostel is a great budget option. It is close to public transport, so you can easily explore the city. The staff is very friendly and available 24/7, and they speak excellent English. Rooms and beds are comfortable, the kitchen is clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming. They have a lovely garden, guitars in the lobby, and organize fun daily events, perfect if you’re traveling solo. There’s even a WhatsApp group where you can connect with others. The only thing to note is that bathrooms are shared, even in some private rooms. That’s why I’m not giving five stars in the room section. Pro tip: if you book a 2-bed dorm solo, you might get it all to yourself! Snacks and drinks are available in the lobby, too. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing hostel. I took a private room there in the top floor (3rd floor). Nice room with a big bed, table and teapot and coffee. It's not just a hostel but a community. A lot of young people, stand up comedy, games, events, communication at the basement floor. There is also a nice outside space. I felt great there, nice energy. Some minuses - door slamming in the corridor as it was a shared bathroom near + some dust in the room, but overall experience is great. It is located right in the center of the old city so from tgere you can go to the square and start your journey going along the historical street. Everything is close👍

I only had one night here and that was frustrating because I wanted to stay longer !! Great locations, clean beds were comfy (which is such a plus in an hostel) Common area were quite nice and the staff was great for advices and beer recommandations ! Good vibes, lovely people. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend !

The location is PERFECT. 120m from the Old Town Fortifications, the heart of the city. Just next to a bookshop and to a traditional Zapiecke restaurant. You get the best of both world: you can party in the basement bar with other guests (activities every night!) AND sleep early in silence in the dorm. The women only 6-beds dorm was very cool. Other women were discreet. Safe lockers and private bathroom inside the room (room 12). The beds have curtains so you can sleep cozy. 170m from a Zabka (7Eleven equivalent). 300m from a Veturilo station (Citybike equivalent). You're at 15min max cycling from everything. I loved the swinging chairs around a table to eat breakfast in the quiet courtyard. Plus the staff is SO NICE, they gave me great reco to visit the city and even made a call to book a hairdresser appointment for me! I really enjoyed my stay and will definitively come back <3

I had a great time here and met wonderful people. I love playing games and finding others to play games was easy (with or without the game night). The staff was friendly and very helpful. Really appreciated the lockers. Shoutout to Cristina for organizing fun events and giving tours and recommendations!

I stayed in this hostel and everything about it was one of the best hostel experiences I've ever had. The location being right in Warsaw's old town was lovely, the rooms were immaculate (most comfy beds ever in a hostel) and the people 🌟 As a solo traveller I made incredible life long friends primarily through activities run by volunteers Amanda and Dani (thank you both these activities were extremely fun and well organised), even the reception team were great and lovely to talk to. If you are looking for a hostel in Warsaw look no further, you will not be disappointed.

Travelling as a group of five from the UK we had an amazing five nights at Oki Doki! Everyone we met was really friendly, especially the staff/volunteers. The events in the evening were a great way to meet new people, there's good bars/clubs nearby, and during the day the hostel is located within walking distance to popular areas and public transport. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, there's a well-equipped kitchen, and a cheap bar. Thank you Oki Doki for making our stay so enjoyable!
