Okko Hotels Bayonne Centre

The hotel’s accommodations were comfortable, with clean rooms and cozy beds. However, I was double-charged for my room despite prepaying on Booking.com and providing my card for taxes. Check your credit card statements, as their accounting seems dishonest. This issue overshadowed an otherwise decent stay.

My family reserved this hotel for my birthday weekend in Bayonne. They needed a centrally located hotel with parking for an early excursion planned for the following morning. Our small room cost over 200 euros for a night, neither breakfast nor parking, were included. The reception is on the 9th floor. Our room was on the 2nd floor. So to get your card key you have to get the lift to the 9th floor, which only responds to your card key, fun after you have checked out and are removing luggage. The reception staff were perfectly pleasant and professional if not available 24/7.|The small room was a futuristic spade pod concept. Obviously optimisation of price per metre The design of the bathroom was a glass hull with an exterior devided ridged white cage effect. Difficult to clean effectively. There were lots of toothpaste stains under the sink unit. Hard to see if you are cleaning, easy if you are sitting on the toilet . Signs of corrosion around the shower unit and severe scratches on the material of the base of the bathroom door (dog?). A lighting system that should you want to read a book in bed and have a bedside lamp on, the master switch has to be left on, which means that the bathroom light, visible through it's cage in the bedroom, is also on. Not environmentally friendly. The hotel welcomes pets. The floors are some sort of rubber. Tacky and not pleasant if walking barefoot. Stain on the yellow vinyl banc next to bed. My husband had left our charger behind so I could not take photos, I asked a member of staff in the 'club' for a charger but they did not know where they were located nor did I have the time the following morning to discuss my concerns about the room with a member of staff.

The bedroom was futuristic in style. Brilliant use of space in the bathroom. Good powerful shower and extremely comfortable bed. Hearty breakfast.Safe parking though spaces small.Staff very customer focused. About 10 minutes walk into the centre of town but felt very safe area.

I spent a total of three nights in the OKKO hotel in Bayonne and was very impressed. The rooms are very nice and the beds wonderfully comfortable! The hotel staff is very nice and helpful and speak good English, which is great for those guests whose French is not so good. The food is very good and the location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre. I would happily stay there again!

Loved my 1 night stay here when I was in Bayonne. Will be my go to unless something better is found. Really good shower and bed. Le Club is awesome for having a coffee and getting stuff done. Small walk from the Bayonne city part we all come to see. Close to buses for Biarritz and St. Jean de Luz or the SNCF to Bordeaux and anywhere else it goes.

One of the best hotels to stay in Bayonne. I stayed there for two weeks and it was absolutely pleasant. I'd definitely recommend staying here in case you're visiting Basque County. The food was great as well and staff was really polite!!

Great welcome by Sarah at reception, we loved the “club” area on the 9th floor, the reading area on the 8th floor terrace and the spacious bedroom with very comfortable bed. The location was ideal to go to the rugby stadium on foot (20mn walk).

The real room has nothing to do with the photo they showed in the website. The hotel claimed itself as a stylish hotel. However, it misses a lot of maintenance: shower is black and dirty, curtains are holed and dirty, bad is extremely soft and low…… Maybe it used to be a four star hotel but not anymore.
