OKKO Hotels Lille Centre

The location of the hotel is great- right in the center of Lille, but not very noisy. The underground parking was literally next door. The Club, where you have coffee and tea facilities was a bonus. We could pop in anytime to get warm and drink coffee while sightseeing around Lille. The quality of the products was great, biscuits and sweets were a nice touch and definitely contributed to our overall experience at the hotel. It’s very modern and clean. ||The room was quite small, which didn’t bother us at all! I quite like the shower located in the room. Nespresso coffee machine in the room was great and very handy! I liked that we could opt out of the daily cleaning.||We didn’t like the breakfast (cancelled after the first morning). The selection was very limited for vegetarians. For the price, I think it’s quite expensive, even if you eat meat. ||The pillows and duvet were feathers- we’re both allergic to down! We requested it to be changed to synthetic (to be fair, it was late evening) and we were told there was only one duvet and one pillow. It got rectified the next day, but I feel the hotel should not run out of synthetic bedding.

We stayed here to attend the Christmas market. ||The location is fantastic, in the heart of Lille, near all the shops and a 3 minute walk to the market and 10-15 min walk from the Eurostar station. ||The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. ||The hotel offers you free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and juices all free with nibbles all day and it is all free. I’ve not been to any hotel that offers this to all guests. ||There are cold water machines throughout the hotel to top up your bottles. ||If you’ve read other reviews, yes the shower is in the main room and could be awkward if you are sharing with friends but with the room where you can go an have drinks and snacks I’m sure you could wait in there why each person showers. We had separate rooms so this was not an issue for us. ||I was also impressed that at the weekend check out was at 2pm and if needed and available you can request a later checkout of 6pm. ||We honestly could not fault the hotel and I was surprised to see many negative reviews. ||We were very happy and would recommend and return. ||During our stay we ate at a restaurant around the corner, pizzeria Armand which was lovely. We all had different dishes and the food was so good. For lunch the second day we went to The French Bastards bakery which was amazing. We had pastries for breakfast and bagels for lunch.

Okko is located right next to the Paris Gare East train station. It is a French chain of Hotels but the designs and comfort live up to Japanese standards. The reception staff are very helpful and take you thru the process fast, might bet a bit tight if there are many people in the small lobby. Rooms are neat and tidy. There are only queen size double beds available (no dorm types) and the shower with a see thru) glass door opens in the bedroom separated with a see thru partition. So sharing a room between 2 persons will be a challenge if not a couple. A folding table, a steel closet, a chair etc are Furniture in the room. WC area can be a bit claustrophobic for over size people. They also offer to elevator code to reach higher level for accessing Gare du Nord quite nearby. Breakfast is good with ample selection. They offer locker room and very accommodating such requests. Overall pretty good location, wonderful staff and a pretty good hotel within a few constraints mentioned above. Chao, till next upload.

A wonderful place to stay, right in the middle of town. Easy to get to fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant surprise when we got here. The ambiance in the club is really comfortable and nice, the snacks and evening drinks were great. I will definitely recommend this hotel and return if I come back to Lille.

Absolutely wonderful concept, well executed. Really enjoyed the calm and relaxed atmosphere at the very spacious “Club” lounge. Will plan some future trips to France around where Okko have hotels. One upgrade could be to have smart TVs rather than those with Chromecast (which I’ve often found difficult to make work on hotel TVs)

This hotel is a gem! Location- 12-15mins walk from Lille Train Station. A few minutes from Grand Place.Surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes. Really good location. Room and facilities- The rooms are modern and beautifully decorated. We had a 8month baby and they provided us with a cot, bath and changing mat! The gym is eco friendly, could do with some more equipment and maybe a little bigger, but does the job ultimately. The lounge area has 24/7 drinks and snacks included. Water stations to refill your bottles too. This was such a bonus because we were a group of 11, so we could meet in the lounge, play games and have a nibble. I didn't catch the name of the man (I think Melvin) who is always in the lounge/bar, he was really helpful and even brought out some snacks for us- cheese board, crudités ect. Staff All the staff - reception, cleaning and lounge staff were really friendly and go above and beyond! I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

FANTASTIC CONCEPT... WISH IT WAS EVERYWHERE! What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. I walked here from the train station and, upon arrival, the outside in no way prepares you for the excellence inside. This is such a well-thought out concept, with no space wasted but luxury for all that. With many eco-friendly touches - from the compostable coffee pods to the water stations on each floor to refill your bottles - accompanied by information so you know that you are doing good staying here. They even donate €2 each day that you decline room service. There is a drop-down work desk, luggage rack, USB ports in the bedside tables, wardrobe, espresso machine with pods, free WiFi and TV. The bed & bedding are insanely good and 100% natural fibres! The shower was a cracker, too with a lovely rain-shower head. The toiletries were lovely and eco-friendly while the towels were soft and lush. Breakfast is available in The Club off the lobby, where you can work and socialise while enjoying complimentary snacks and drinks all day. I only stayed two nights but now that I know they exist, I’ll be staying in their properties in the future. While the brand is currently in France only, I hope they expand their territory soon.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed! Very cozy and nice looking room, very clean. They also have a huge lounge with free cookies, coffee and tea, the cookies were delicious, by the way. The WiFi connection was great, and the staff were very nice and friendly. Loved it!
