We arrived early at Gare L’Est, and found the hotel tucked comfortably next to the platforms, a short uncomplicated walk away. Greeted by the loveliest staff, with cold water in reception available on a very hot day - lifesaver! We stored our luggage and were happily surprised that check in was available an hour earlier than expected, then ventured out to explore Paris. |On our return in the evening, we were checked in by the warm and pleasant staff, who informed us that cold beverages, coffee and snacks were free of charge in the lounge at all hours; what a lovely treat in addition to the cold water fountains dispersed throughout the floors. |The standard room was big enough for my son and I to not feel cramped, with a comfortable bed (with one large comforter) and blessed air conditioning that worked hard for us all weekend. Included is a Nespresso and an adequate TV for our morning news - you’re not in Paris for hotel coffee and watching movies in your room! The shower was a tad bit awkwardly placed opening out into a partitioned part of the room with a glass door, if you are modestly inclined you might feel exposed. We managed with strategic showers and simply looking away 😝 A separate toilet made sense, so that showering didn’t block loo visits. |Instead of having an ironing utilities in your room, there is an ironing room with two professional steam irons, a stand steamer and a dolly for your garments - genius! |The lounge has some board games and ample seating for groups to socialise. |We didn’t include the breakfast, but walking past it in the mornings it looked adequate if you value the convenience. |The noise was almost nonexistent, despite being next to a station and on the pedestrian route between Gare L’Est and Nord. |Locationwise it was utter perfection, specially as we had an early morning train to catch and could easily just roll out of bed, into our clothes and onto the platform. Check out was smooth and friendly - we will be back again for this minimalist but smart 4* hotel that makes a mid budget stay in a central location feel like a calm oasis is the craziness of gorgeous Paris.

If you're looking for a decent value this hotel is a good option. The rooms are clean and fairly spacious, chilled filtered water is available throughout, and the included lounge area is a lovely place to grab a bite after grocery stores close. The location is fantastic and sandwiched between the two major train stations. They kept our bags for another day of walking around Paris as well which was nice.

Convenient location next to the train stations. It’s in a quiet location with exclusive access via street elevator. Room size was decent. Toilet room small. Breakfast and staff were delightful. Love the bed linen and pillow. Budget friendly great stay for our needs.

For a business hotel, it has everything you need: strategic access to transportation, clean and well-maintained facilities. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Standard breakfast buffet, but a great work area that also serves as a breakfast space. Rooms are standard-sized, well-designed, and cozy (premium option). It's an excellent choice for getting around Paris and nearby areas. The downside is that there is no direct access to the hotel's entrance, which is necessary for easy entry and exit with luggage. Neighborhood may be intimidating for most, but it's a busy part of Paris that comes with the territory. The facility itself is safe and comfortable.

Despite the hotel being modern, clean, and in a great location, our stay was marked by a series of issues that made it feel nowhere near the standard advertised: • The fire alarm went off early on Sunday morning with no communication or apology from staff. It was disruptive and handled very poorly. • The shower leaked water into the rest of the room, creating a mess and a slipping hazard. • The headboard made constant noise with even the slightest movement, waking my partner multiple times throughout the night. • There was no complimentary water in the room — something you’d expect as a basic in a hotel at this level and price point. • When we returned to the hotel at 1am, we were locked out in the rain. No access code or instructions had been provided, and we had to wait until the receptionist came to manually open the gate. • I was charged €30 without notice for an umbrella I returned. The umbrella wasn’t even new. When I called to ask about the charge, the staff were rude and dismissive, offering no explanation or invoice. • The reception staff throughout were unwelcoming and unhelpful, showing no effort to address or acknowledge these problems.

Functional but very nice hotel located around the corner from Gare de l’Est railway station. The location is perfect for travelers arriving/leaving by train. The hotel is rather purpose built and rooms are small but very well designed. Service is friendly and very good. All in all a perfect hotel for a quick business trip to central Paris. No complaints, all perfect.

Unfortunately we had to move rooms due to bed bugs found in our room when we checked in. The second room was still not very clean and we felt uneasy after the first experience. The lounge was closed for a private event the whole stay. Building work outside the room from 7am. ||Hotel photos look modern and sleek but not in reality. ||||Saving grace was the staff who were exceptionally kind and welcoming.

Our worst hotel experience in Paris. At check-in, we were informed that our room is available, but since we booked through an external vendor, a fee of €30 would be charged. Otherwise, we were „not allowed to check in a minute before 2 PM“ (quote!). We consider it unfair to greet a new guest with such a policy. The room assigned to us had a clogged sink, an almost broken door handle on the toilet, a dusty wardrobe inside, and dirty/sticky buttons on the safe and TV remote. We found black hairs in the bed upon arrival and after room cleaning on the second day, which were not ours. Coffee capsules were not replenished during cleaning. The room cleaning was thus completely inadequate. Moreover, it is incomprehensible why the cleaning staff neither noticed a defective sink nor a broken door handle, or perhaps simply ignored them. Unfortunately, the issues were not resolved during our stay. A room change was only offered late a night on the very last night of our stay, thus too late. It is absolutely incomprehensible that a clogged sink cannot be fixed. The reception was repeatedly so understaffed that speaking with an employee involved a very long wait. We requested twice to speak with a manager. At checkout, we were promised that a manager would speak with us in the afternoon. The receptionist knew nothing about this in the afternoon and did not really care of feel responsible. When picking up our luggage on the afternoon of our departure day, we politely asked if we could wait for another fifteen minutes in the "Business Corner" (lobby) as we had some time before our train departure. This was denied, citing Okko's policy of not allowing departing guests with luggage (two tiny carry-on bags!!) to wait in the Business Corner, and even without luggage there would be an additional fee. We find this outrageous. The hotel and this stay were definitely not a 4-star experience. On the contrary, we have never been so disappointed and upset by a hotel in Paris. We tried to contact management via e-mail before this review. There response: It is all our fault, they claim we engaged a DND-sign the whole time (lie!) and accept absolutely no responsibility for all the things going wrong in their establishment.
