OKUPA

My partner and I love short city breaks and always prefer boutique hotels. ||Okupa hotel and restaurant is in the in the Kerameikos / Psiri (Psirri) district of central Athens. A trendy and buzzy part of town within easy walking distance of the Acropolis and full of cool bars restaurants and shops (particularly Psiri).||Okupa fits right in. A modern very stylish small hotel incorporating a (separately run) restaurant and listening bar - more on the latter later.||Our room was large and well appointed with a lovely big balcony. Bed size and comfort excellent as was the shower. Unusually the entrance key is via wifi using a link on your mobile phone so accordingly the free wi fi throughout the hotel is excellent.||The rooftop pool and sunbathing area is really nice - beanbag loungers a cool touch...albeit in high demand on the Sunday we arrived.||The food in the restaurant was so excellent that we ate dinner there 3 out of 4 nights so we could try most things! We tried brunch as well with was also great. There is a breakfast option for €12 pp that is a simple buffet.||One of the best parts for us was that the bar is a 'listening bar' (the latest take on a DJ bar). On 2 nights there was a live band on the outside terrace, and each night there was a DJ playing an eclectic mix of world music, downtempo or funk. Loud enough to enjoy not too loud to ruin dinner or conversation.||All in all a cool stylish friendly and laid back vibe. ||A top quality and unique little hotel that we absolutely loved and hope to return to soon.

The hotel is a young vibrant gem The pool is a great bonus on hot summer days, and it has a nice view on the Acropolis in one corner of the rooftop. The stuff is amazing. The room we had was simple but very illuminated and has a nice terrace. The hotel is perfectly clean and tidy. The shared spaces are generous and welcoming. Breakfast is nice and fresh. The location is a bit off city center.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were lovely. The rooftop pool was great. Everything is very well thought out in terms of design. Everything was clean and comfortable. I even did a yoga class there, which was also great. I saw there were some comments about the neighborhood that it is in, but I feel like this is unjustified. There's a lot of graffiti and street art, but that should not be confused with the neighborhood being unsafe. I never felt unsafe personally and I walked around the neighborhood multiple times in the day and night. I really enjoyed seeing all the street art.

Fantastic hotel, short walk away from central Athens. Incredible service by the team working here. Very clean, modern rooms. The private ‘dorm’ worked really well for us as a family of four with 2 kids, who loved the top bunks. Great to also have a private bathroom in the room and plenty of space and lockers for luggage. Roof top pool was a highlight for the kids, with a view on the Parthenon! I would highly recommend. I would love to stay again!

Absolutely loved this hotel! So beautifully decorated and loved to smell of the place so much, I bought a candle. Great coffee and bar. The rooftop pool is stunning with a view of the Acropolis. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They gave us great insights for exploring the city!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it 100%! Everything was perfect – the warm atmosphere, the delicious food, the comfortable rooms, and the lovely pool. It’s definitely the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Athens – an ideal place to relax and fully enjoy your holiday. ☺️

The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully designed shared spaces that are both stylish and comfortable. The highlight for us was definitely the rooftop pool. The views of the city from up there were absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff were incredible—so friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the on-site restaurant, which served delicious food. We can't recommend this hotel enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderfully built and planned hostel. Comfortable and spacious rooms with a great layout and design, huge lockers with its own key code, towels included and great awesome facilities. Seemed to be in a nice area and near the metro, wish the pool on the rooftop was open beyond 8 PM though, and no activities or social atmosphere for solo travelers.
