Stayed here for 2 weeks and cannot speak highly enough of this place. Incredible space that’s beautifully furnished. Has everything you need from a hostel/hotel including plenty of common rooms/nice spaces, kitchen, outdoor area, rooftop, library, and additional bathrooms. Breakfast was also very good and as a digital nomad the co-working areas and call booths were ideal. Not only that, but there were different musicians on every day, across a variety of genres. Just a really cool place. Despite all of this, the thing that stood out to me the most was the staff. Every single member of staff I interacted with was excellent - they had the friendliness/approachability of hostel staff, and the service of a luxury hotel. Unfortunately I only got the name of Vasilis, but I wish I could give a mention to every member of staff I spoke to, from both check in/the hotel, and from the restaurant. The cleaners were also everywhere all at once haha, and every time I saw them they were working incredibly hard. The cleanliness of the rooms/common areas, and daily sheet/towel changes are a testament to that. The owner has created an amazing space, but I hope he knows it is the staff and their hard work that make it (which I am sure he is aware of as he’s very present around the hotel - also a nice touch).

I’m still smiling thinking about our New Year at Okupa. Beautiful spaces, the cosiest room with a view of the Acropolis, great design, perfect location and an atmosphere that feels alive. The team is exceptional. Tassos and Argyri were helpful from the first message and made our late arrival on December 31 effortless. The party was unforgettable, the music spot on, and the restaurant team truly special. Evi, Diamantis, Konstantina, Akis, and everyone else made us feel genuinely cared for. Amazing food, legendary Bloody Marys, and DJ Billy playing Brazilian classics like a local. Only problem is missing all of it already and planning the next visit.

The absolute best hostel in Athens! A true oasis of design and hospitality because is more than just a place to sleep—it’s an experience. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and vibrant; the interior design is magazine-worthy, with common areas that invite you to relax, read, or grab a coffee and the facilities are truly top-notch! But the real magic lies in their team ⭐ They are simply exceptional: attentive, professional, and always willing to help. They make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. If you are looking for comfort, a great vibe, and unbeatable service during your trip to Athens, this is your place! Highly, highly recommended!

A good and modern hotel. As a local resident of Athens, I can confidently say that everything here is thoughtfully designed — stylish interiors, convenient location, and a pleasant overall atmosphere. Yes, the neighborhood is not the best, but to be objective, central Athens in general is far from ideal — especially around Omonia metro station. The staff is polite and professional, service is fast — which is, frankly, a positive surprise for Greece. The space is clean, well-maintained, and the background music is calm and tasteful, creating a productive working environment. I regularly visit the hotel's restaurant to work, so I can’t comment on the rooms. I also found parking nearby without any issues, which was a nice plus. Now, regarding the food: unfortunately, the menu could use some refinement. I tried two dishes — the "bakaliaros" burger and the chicken with rice — and both were overly salty. As a gastronomy expert, I find it hard to understand the choice of adding excessive salt to the fish, topping it with pickles and a mayonnaise-based sauce. It overpowers the natural flavors entirely. The rice dish would have been much better if served plain, allowing the customer to control the amount of soy sauce according to taste. I’ll gladly return here — but for now, only for coffee or tea. Thank you for the pleasant ambiance and good service.

Food is amazing. However, be attentive with staff adding 20% on top of the price and hiding it. I just saw it by chance, on the credit card machine screen, right before they handled it to us for payment and they didn't offer us to accept it or not. They were just sure we wouldn't notice it. We don't mind paying tips but we want to decide how much, and if it's mandatory please let us know instead of sneaking it in without notice.

Brilliant hotel if visiting Athens. Rooms are spacious and well presented. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The vibe is awesome in the listening bar/mezzanine which is a perfect place to grab a drink and escape the bustle of city life while enjoying the lofi tunes. Would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely loved this place. I came in for coffee and found out it was a hotel so stayed for two nights. My room had large windows, big terrace and a beautiful view of the city. It was clean and very comfortable. Had everything I needed. The first floor has a lounge/co-working space that is cool and comfortable. Some nights they have a dj spin records. The food is amazing. Great drinks as well. And the service team are on point. I definitely recommend this place!
