Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the best safari lodges I’ve ever stayed at. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Amboseli with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and wildlife literally roaming near the lodge. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a true bush-luxury feel. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious with great variety. Waking up to elephants grazing nearby was simply magical. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Amboseli

Ol Tukai Lodge is one of those places that simply takes your breath away. The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by nature, with Mount Kilimanjaro in view and wildlife all around. It’s an incredible feeling to see elephants, zebras, and even giraffes right from your room or while sitting in the restaurant. You don’t just see them — you can even hear them at night, which makes the experience unforgettable.||The staff are wonderful. Many of them take time to share interesting facts and stories about the animals, which shows how much they care about Amboseli and its wildlife. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and simple, with everything you need — including a little coffee station to enjoy the quiet mornings.||The food was excellent — fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. The atmosphere of the lodge is unique; the air feels pure and peaceful, and despite being so close to the animals, we always felt completely safe.||Of course, the monkeys are cheeky — they love to steal food and even hiss a little if you get too close — but that’s part of the charm. As long as you don’t panic, they won’t bother you.||I especially want to mention Carol, the bartender (I believe that’s her name). She told us she studied at the Nairobi Bar School — and it really shows in her drinks and her professionalism. She was so kind, welcoming. Let me also highlight Peter. His service is excellent. and they both, but the whole team made us feel truly at home.||Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we definitely plan to come back.|And as we were told with a smile — this time, no helicopter will land right in front of our cottage!

Great location with elephants right outside. Food is only ok but this is not a true luxury hotel so it’s understandable. Rooms are nice but maintain heat. Sleeping with the screened windows open helps cool down the rooms. Moses was an excellent driver. We saw 2 male lions within 5 minutes of landing. Also saw a group of 5 cheetahs, which is very rare. I’d highly recommend if you want to visit Amboseli and not pay extreme rates.

This was our last stop on our 8 day tour of Kenya. The view of Mt. Kilimanjaro is breathtaking. We saw many elephants in the park. There were many other animals but the elephants were the main attraction. You can even see them from the hotel. The grounds on the hotel is good for walks and the setting is great. The food selection is standard and nothing stands out. The room we had was clean. It gets warm at night because even with the ceiling fan on, the mosquito netting cancels out any circulation of air. We managed to sleep only later at night without any covers. The manager and staff are friendly and accommodating. We had a good rest and the massage was good. The place is in need of an upgrade as you can tell it’s quite old.

Outstanding stay at Ol Tukai Lodge in November 2025. I visited with a group of photographers, and the location was ideal for wildlife. The lodge sits right between the elephants’ territory and the bird-rich ponds, with direct views over the marshes where elephants are often seen. All of it framed by the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. The property is beautiful, with well-kept gardens full of monkeys and birds. The buffets are generous and varied. The cabana-style rooms are spacious, comfortable, well decorated, and equipped with large, cozy beds. The common areas are perfect for relaxing between game drives. A huge thank you to our guide Moses, with more than twenty-five years of experience in the park and exceptional birding knowledge. Thank you to Abby for her warm, smiling service, and to the manager, Mr. Joseph Meitekini, for his gracious welcome. Highly recommended.

We loved this lodge. 2 minutes drive and you are immersed in the park. From the lodge grounds you can see herds of zebra, wildebeest, and plenty of elephants, as well as Kilimanjaro. The bar has an upstairs lounge which also provides a great place to relax and view the wildlife. The accommodation was comfortable with private bathroom and all amenities. The staff were great fun and dining (inside or outside) was very good.

We stayed at Ol Tukai for two days as we explored Amboseli. It is an excellent place to stay, serving good tasting food and drinks. Great view of mt Kilimanjaro from the property as long as the clouds cooperate and safari animals pass through the perimeter just outside the electrical fence. The staff are wonderful and very attentive. The lodge is tastefully decorated and gives an authentic vibe.

Ol Tukai Lodge delivered a truly memorable Amboseli experience. The game drives were incredible—we had close sightings of elephants, wildebeest, lions, zebras, hyenas, ostriches, warthogs, flamingos, giraffes, and monkeys. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained with excellent service. The staff were attentive, warm, and made us feel taken care of at every moment. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Amboseli.
