Öland Zoo and Amusement Park

We were there on 14/7-25, we had good weather and light wind. Experienced that almost the entire park smelled of urine or at least where the animals were. We rode the carousel caterpillar and discovered that screws to the protective barrier could be loosened beforehand. If you are going to a zoo, I recommend Skånes Djurpark (Höör), Kolmården (Norrköping) or Universeum (Gothenburg) for a more valuable experience.

Fantastic action when the folks that put together a Zoo, Tivoli and waterpark and create " Öland Zoo and Amusement Park ". :) It's not the newest amusement park but we didn't care. We had fun and you only have to pay once. You pay at the entrance. Everyone get a wristband and that's it ! :) Everything in the amusement park except if you want to buy something to eat. You can take a pick nick basket with you. We had a good time together our family and friends (our ages is from 42 to 2 year old :) ).

Total waste of money. Everything overpriced and falling apart. No lifeguards, no showers – zero hygiene or safety. Rides and equipment are ancient and dangerous. Staff rude, exhausted, or can't even speak the local language. Animals barely visible, and those that are look sick. Extra charges everywhere for useless experiences. Nothing works. Nothing's available. No one cares.

Absolutely terrible experience – avoid at all costs. Shocking value for money – outrageously expensive for what little (and low-quality) service or experience you get. A total rip-off. No safety measures whatsoever – not a single lifeguard in sight. A disaster waiting to happen, especially around water attractions. No basic hygiene standards – no showers available before or after bathing. Completely unsanitary. Outdated and dangerous equipment – rides and facilities are ancient, rusty, and clearly neglected for years. Everything feels like it could break at any moment. Serious security concerns – staff tasked with safety and supervision at the amusement park can’t even speak Swedish. Communication breakdown in an emergency would be inevitable. Rude and exhausted employees – the few staff members who do speak Swedish seem completely indifferent and burned out. Zero customer service or professionalism. Extra charges for basic experiences – they charge extra to ride a train within the zoo, and even that is ruined by a broken sound system and apathetic staff. Hardly any animals to see – and the few visible ones looked lethargic and unwell. It felt more depressing than entertaining. Everything is either unavailable or barely functional – constant disappointment around every corner. Feels like they’ve given up completely.

I would say this place have safety and hygiene issue. Dangerous and very old amusement park. The staffs are tired and no mood to work. Good is blend and expensive ticket the plus is the waterpark is nice but worried of safety and the kids pool is cold.

Very bad I would not recommend it specially for a family trip. Stuff treat you very unprofessional way. We paid for two days and the day after the whether was very bad , raining and not safe to go out. We came the day after wearing bands and receipt to use the second day of the attraction and they want us to pay again for the entry. They wouldn't even communicate with us they just shut us off. VERY BAD.

It has everything together , not the best of everything but okayish quality , good for family , need improvement like providing maps , enviroments and better keeping on animals, cleaness specially in toilets and safety measures.

Unsafe, unclean, unfriendly, and utterly not worth the money. A deeply unpleasant experience that I cannot recommend to anyone – especially families or anyone expecting even basic standards of care or service.
