Old Airline Guest House

The room and the shared area are clean but one disadvantage is that you can hear each movement from your upstairs or outside your room, even they walked. Besides, the self- service laundry is a bit overpriced for us although maybe I do not have much idea on how the market price in Iceland shall be. The location is quite ok and parking is convenient. And there is sufficient space for the shared area to no matter enjoy your meal or take a rest. By the way, the bed is too soft for us and the amenities in the room is quite simple especially the coat hanger.

This guesthouse has all the amenities that one needs. It is a quiet place. The rooms are nice. The shared toilets and showers are good. The communal kitchen is large and well equipped as is the communal area. A good breakfast is included in the price. And there on site parking. The owner is very nice and helpful. Another important feature here is the washer and dryer.

Everything was super clean and comfy. I liked the living area. Very generous and yummy breakfast. The staff was friendly and kind. Although a bit away (1 hour drive) from the Diamond Beach area, the price was reasonable, and the area offers beautiful hikes. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Stay – Clean, Scenic, and Convenient! I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! The room was spotless, well-organized, and had an incredible view The included breakfast was a great bonus, and having access to parking and laundry facilities made everything so easy and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic stay!

Nice kitchen and living room space. The room was clean and tidy, very comfortable. Though parking space is limited and the toilet had one smell. But overall pleasant experience.

Amazing spot. Has everything you need. Shared bathrooms but everyone kept things clean and tidy and I never had to wait. Excellent kitchen with coffee and tea sugar oil a few spices and cookware if you want to cook.

I highly recommend. Much nicer than I thought it would be based on the picture on their website. Very clean and well lit rooms. Owner put together a grab and go breakfast for each room the night before. Great location in SW Iceland. Room was a very good value. Had dinner at Pakkhus restaurant which was excellent.

The Old Airline Guesthouse is an extremely nice guesthouse at a great value. It is situated strategically between two of Iceland most majestic sites, the Vatnajökull Glacier/Iceberg Lagoon and Hvalnes Nature Reserve. The Old Airline Guesthouse owner and host Sigga was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I had a small but awesome room with a view overlooking the Hofn bay area. Patrons can also enjoy a similar view in the upstairs common area. Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance. A continental breakfast is included in your stay. Being a guesthouse you do share a bathroom, other than that the Old Airline Guesthouse is truly a gem worth staying.
