Old City Flowers

I have never sent flowers to anybody in an office before. Because of this, I was a bit worried going into the experience that the flowers wouldn’t make it to my lovely girlfriend’s desk. Old City Flowers did not disappoint. The delivery was made within three hours which I found to be very satisfactory. The bouquet was also even more beautiful than it appeared in the pictures online. I am very happy with the service, but more importantly I made my girlfriend’s whole day. I highly recommend this florist!

I placed a same day delivery for a gorgeous boutique of flowers and received word that there might be a delay in delivery and that they would do the best they can. Although I was bummed, I later found out they were able to make the intended delivery and I was really happy they were able to accommodate my last minute request. Will definitely consider ordering from them again. The recipient was in awe of their flowers.

I ordered two flower bouquets yesterday (totally last minute), and they were absolutely beautiful! Fresh, vibrant, and perfectly arranged — even better than I expected. The presentation and fragrance were amazing, and the service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend for anyone looking for high-quality flowers and great customer care!

I called Old City Flowers earlier this week to have flowers delivered to a friend the next day. I told them what I wanted to spend, and asked that they just do something pretty with lots of fall color. On delivery day, I sent my friend birthday wishes by text, and she let me know that she was on her way to the Cape May for a last minute overnight. I called Old City Flowers right away and they were very kind, and very accommodating, helping me to switch the delivery date for the flowers. They were just delivered and I received this photo from my friend. The flowers are GORGEOUS! I’m thrilled with Old City Flowers quality and customer service. I’ll definitely order from them again!!

1. Delivery was delayed, “due to the eagles parade”. I’m not sure why the option for a Friday delivery date would be offered if the parade was anticipated to cause issues. Then the flowers weren’t delivered until close to 1pm after being told a 9am-11am window. I postponed my morning waiting for them. 2. I paid over $150 for the “Truly Stunning Bouquet Large” and it ended up being about 10 red roses and 7 lilies, the rest was filler. Also, half of the filler including most of the pink roses were already drooping/dead. Not sure where the $119.99 value comes from. Looks like the prices were inflated to take advantage of Valentine’s Day which I understand, but at least add some value. 3. When I got the card and inscription my girlfriend pointed out that the flowers came from Philly Flowers and Edibles on Whitaker Ave. I’m not sure how placing an order with Old City Flowers leads to it being fulfilled with no heads up by Philly Flowers.

I have used them for years. As a business owner, I send a lot of flowers to clients. I feel like most florists reduce their product once they feel you’re going to come to them either way. Old City seems to reward my loyalty. I could not be happier with my wife’s 20th anniversary display. Thank you for making me look good as a husband. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were discussing our wedding tonight. 6 years after the fact, we realized that we never wrote a nice review of this place. They were so sweet, and did such a wonderful job. We got married in Saint John's downtown, and did a reception at the Powell House. They work with both the Church and the Museum so close that we had to make ZERO accommodation for the florists to deliver at the venues. I am oblivious when it comes to making things pretty. My assignment was to "create" the flowers for the reception. , , , Yeah, I asked for help and received it. If my daughter gets married in Philly, I know exactly who our florists will be. I will let the photos do the rest of the talking.

Disappointed with quality of flowers and service. I wanted delivery at 10 AM, but Eric called on the day of the delivery and said that they can't commit to deliver at 10 AM, but will deliver between 12 to 3 PM. Actual delivery was done close to 6 PM. Apparently the driver was busy with lots of deliveries. The flowers delivered were no were close to what is shown in the website. What a rip off. Totally disappointed. Won't use their service ever again.

The florist helped me quickly choose an arrangement, thank you for the service. But the freshness of the flowers could have been better, several buds were already half-open and a little tired, and the price was not cheap.

Do not order from here! They say they do same day delivery but offer no way to track orders so you have to call and ask and they may not even know or will just blame traffic or "the holidays" for delays. I ordered same day at 8:15 am with a generous tip and had to call back three times with the last call being told the flowers would be delivered by five. I was also told they were showing as delivered but that was a total lie. Their prices are way too high and their customer service way too terrible. Use another florist!!

What a wonderful experience! Old City Flowers worked closely with us, offering personal assistance to come up with the perfect arrangements for our events. They put a great deal of thought into it, and the flowers were lovely - everyone commented on them!

Earlier this year, I had a dear friend in the hospital. Ordering flower arrangements from out of state is always "hit or miss." I got very lucky with Old City Flowers, and they were a "Hit!" They produced an arrangement that was better than the photo of the arrangement that was on their website. My past experience with some other florists is that they will use the exact number and type of flowers in the arrangement that is pictured on their website, but the florist is not able to position the flowers so it looks professional. Old City Flowers exceeds on skill when it comes to creating the best and freshest arrangement. I high recommend this florist. In fact, I am placing another order to be sent to my friend's home since the first arrangement brought her so much joy.

Ordered flowers for my.mom 95 birthday spent ,108.00 what she got was not what is was supposed to be cheap small few flowers when.i.ordered premium don't order from this company they are not local.they suck

I called to confirm if I would receive email confirmation of order delivery. I was advised there is no order delivery sent - just when the order is placed. I asked then at 230pm today if my order that was placed 48 hours ago at 1059am was out for delivery today. I was placed on hold for ten minutes as they could not find the order. When returning to the phone, I was advised that the order would be delivered between 3pm-4pm today. I said I am concerned about you never receiving the order after taking ten mins to find the order. I was advised the order is sitting right there. I asked if I could be called when delivered. I was told that the manager would be notified of my request. The manager called back two minutes later very rude and aggressive stating the order was out on the truck for delivery now. I advised that is different then I was just told by the associate and concerned because I was just placed on hold for ten minutes and feel like the order would not have been fulfilled if I did not call today. The manager said she just received the order this morning despite me placing the order 48 hours ago. I said can you please provide your email address so I can provide my order confirmation receipt from 48 hours. The manager said it does not matter the order is on the truck now and we stage deliveries by zip code where some arrive late before 5pm. I said you are missing my complaint and will address via Google. The manager said do you want me to go ahead and refund your order. I ordered flowers 48 hours in advance due to a family passing. I called to check status since they do not provide email confirmation of delivery. The order seemed lost. The manger said the order was just received this morning despite being placed 48 hours ago. The manager was rude not addressing the issue and thought a refund would silence my google review and to not have to address the service experience. I seriously doubt my emotional friend will ever receive the flowers ordered after their loss and will never patronage this business again due to horrible service experience.

The flowers...Beautiful! HOWEVER, I have unsubscribed from their emails on 5 different occasions and yet again today, I received another email. My purchase as I have told them was a ONE TIME ONLY for a work associate on one of our teams (she is in PA we are in KY) for a surgical procedure. At this rate, I would NEVER recommend nor purchase due to the absolute annoyance of the emails. STOP SENDING THE EMAILS. I DO NOT WANT ANY ADDITIONAL FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS FROM YOU... EVER!

When I called to check in on my order, the woman who took my call was incredibly rude. additionally the flower arrangement was TINY compared to the photo. Will not be ordering from here again.

Disappointed by the flower arrangement our daughter received on her birthday. The picture on the website of the arrangement we ordered was a beautiful spring bouquet and what they sent was a much less impressive fall colors bouquet. It looked more appropriate for a Thanksgiving table than a spring birthday. We know the original photo said "Designers Choice", but thought it would reflect a similar vibe to the one in the photo. It also seems that the website photo was taken from some other arranger, since this is not at all like what the actual shop creates. Frustrating that they are using false advertising...

I HIGHLY recommend Old City Flowers! Our work event had an immediate need for a special occasion. I called and Cathy had a gorgeous arrangement waiting for me to pick up in 15 minutes in the middle of the holiday rush. Wow! I highly recommend old city flowers not only are they really nice people they do an extraordinary job I ordered flowers for a very special birthday. They were delivered specifically one time and the flower arrangement was really the highlight of the luncheon. They were magnificent.

Had a wonderful experience using this company to send flowers to my daughter's office when she returned from maternity leave. I spoke to Del and she assured me she would send something bright and cheery, and get it to her office in the morning. My daughter sent me a picture and the flowers are gorgeous and were sent on time. Would definitely use this flower shop again.

Thanks for exceeding my expectations! That seems to be a rare occurrence in my dealings nowadays. The patient was thrilled and said that all the nurses commented that they rarely saw such a beautiful arrangement.

Very easy to order as someone out of state, and quick! A group of us had gotten together only the night before to buy flowers to celebrate the hard work of a friend who has organized every week to keep us entertained during this pandemic. The flowers arrived at just the perfect time so that we could all experience her joy at the nice surprise on Zoom. The arrangement was wonderful, the delivery was superb, and I so appreciate the shop returning my call even after the flowers were delivered. I order flowers for my sister's 30th birthday and had them delivered to her business but nobody answered the front door. The owner called me to let me know what happened and the delivery guy went out again and we had to call each other back and forth a few times. It was a hot mess lol but she was so nice and patient with me so i wanted to give them a 5 star review for my experience and their flowers. I will order flowers from them from now on!!!

I placed an order this morning for flowers for our daughter to congratulate her for obtaining her Masters. I called the florist to ask if the delivery would be today because our daughter works from home Fridays. Del assured me she would do what she could to take care of this. Take care of it she DID!! An hour and a half later my daughter texted thanking us for the GORGEOUS flowers!!!! Del made a beautiful day even more so!!!! Will definitely use Old City Flowers again!!!

I needed a pick me up & decided that fresh flowers would do the trick. All I knew is that I wanted dahlias & roses. Old City Flowers took it from there and delivered these gorgeous flowers 4 hours later. Thank you for brightening up my day and giving me something beautiful to look at besides my monitor!

We received a spectacular spathiphyllum as a bereavement gift. It was in perfect health and, as it wasn't blooming, had been supplemented with 3 just opening alstroemerias. The delivery person was very diligent and patient in making sure we were home. I haven't used Old City Flowers in the past but will buy from them with great confidence in the future.

Living in Texas, it has been very difficult to find a great flower shop to send flowers to my older relatives in Philadelphia. Today I called and spoke with a very kind lady who helped me so much. I was sending flowers to my aunt in a hospital in center city and knew the room number but not which building. She put me on hold and called the hospital herself to find out for me! Amazing customer service. The flowers they made for my aunt were absolutely gorgeous, and at a decent price. I will be using Old City Flowers for many years to come.

Bought the "Thinking of You" garden basket for my friend who just lost her father. Online ordering was very simple and quick. The garden basket was beautiful and delivered promptly for free the next day. My friend loved it . I would definitely order from Old City Flowers again. They did a wonderful job.

Thank you Old City Flowers! I was sending flowers to my best friend in Philadelphia to congratulate her on completing residency applications. Being in Colorado, I was a little unsure about ordering online / over the phone -- what you see may not always be what you get -- but Old City Flowers sent a beautiful arrangement. I called the shop to speak to a real person when ordering. The woman I spoke with was very friendly and helpful, asking about the occasion and what I was looking for. They also followed up Monday to confirm the delivery. Another concern was my friend works in a hospital clinic and, although flowers are delivered to hospitals everyday, I wanted to make sure they made their way to her. OCF took the extra care needed by getting all of the hospital details, contact information and confirming hospital policy prior to delivery. Thanks again OCF for delivering beautiful flowers but, more importantly, a smile to my friend's face!

Old City Flowers did my wedding bouquet this weekend as well as a few center pieces. i described over the phone what i wanted it to look like, and they couldn't have done a better job. it was exactly what i wanted and i was so so thrilled when i saw them. Sue was the best over the phone and the people who put this together did an amazing job. thank you!

This really should be 0 stars. A friend I met on Instagram is having a baby and I am trying to surprise her with flowers. The "manager" was so rough and not nice at all. Totally combative. Customer service is important. And the customer service here, sucks.

Just had flowers delivered to my daughter, and from start to finish the experience was terrific. I called late (a little after 12:00 p.m.) because I was stuck in a meeting all morning. I was hoping they could still arrive before 3:00. They did. Not only were they on time, they were beautiful. Dell did a wonderful job. The arrangement was full and lush, and the vase even came with a special jeweled flower. When my daughter called to thank me, it turns out she had just ordered several arrangements from Old City Flowers the week before and her experience, just like mine, a pleasure. Both she and I worked with Sue over the phone when ordering which made the decision process fun. Looks like we're keeping it in the family. This place is a gem! Or should I say, a rose among thorns.

I ordered an arrangement for my wife's birthday. They don't have ready made bouquets, not even samples, so when they asked how much I wanted to spend I got a bit nervous. So I named a price, which included delivery, and hoped for the best - I wasn't let down in the slightest! My wife kept gushing about how beautiful they were and they certainly were! I was also blown away by the quality and appearance. The order was two weeks ago and there are still flowers that survived! You can't go wrong with Old City Flowers!

I couldn't be more pleased once again with Old City Flowers! Same day fast service to two separate recipients and the flowers are gorgeous!!!! It's so easy when you can trust the florist to make arrangements that are perfection! 10/10 recommend!

Flowers were sent by my husband for our girls week in Philadelphia on a Monday. Tried to connect with Old City to arrange delivery when they called but I was on a bus on the way back from a day of sight seeing but told them I would be back to the unit in an hour. Unfortunately the hour came about 3:30 and not before their 3:00 losing time. Was texting them to work this the delivery and they just stopped responding. Delivered next morning the arrangement they had put together the day before. Most of the water was spilled out into the bag (no, it wasn't me), which then leaked. In addition, no preservative provided and in two days half of the flowers were wilting. They should not accept deliveries they cannot make and should be more customer oriented. Very disappointed, would not recommend.

I don't know why this place gets such bad review but i have just here today and i found pink and green anthuriums which is hard to find in any florist around Philly. The customer services is great and they also offer other choices of tropical flowers such as: heliconia, orchids, bird of paradise and costus. I have to give this place 5 stars because it worth it and the flower choices are exotic and excellent compare to other regular florist. I don't know why they complains about their customer. They put together a great vase of my choices of six anturiums. While i was here, i see lots of people come in and out this place with orders of flowers as pretty as mine.

Talented floral designers, beautiful creations. Lots of plants to choose from. Friendly service. Very reasonable prices. A wonderful florist - I wish they were closer to my home town so I could use more often.

My best friend lives in Philadelphia and has been interviewing for jobs in California - where I happen to live now. I get a call from her saying she got an offer in CA and accepted it, she'll be moving in a few months! Wooo hoooo sooo excited and proud of her but I'm too far to join in the celebrations so I want to send her flowers I call this place and at first the lady is really nice and is willing to work with me to send the flowers same day. I asked if they could deliver at 6 b/c she doesn't get home until after 5... they close at 5 so they said NO, so I said ok I would try to figure out her work address, then call back. When I called back the customer service person literally kept picking up the phone and hanging it right up on me, I tried several times but I'm pretty sure the person taking orders was picking up and hanging up b/c she couldn't be bothered - RUDEEEEEEEEE! Luckily, I was able to find a different florist that was really helpful and able to deliver the same day. I hope my wife doesn't see this but I'll say it anyway because Old City Flowers deserves the props! Yesterday was my anniversary and on a trip to Whole Foods, my plan was to pick up a $20 bouquet of flowers. A female colleague of mine called me out on it, demanded I order flowers from OCF and have them delivered TODAY regardless of the cost. Being a dump, brute, rough, destructive male, I felt that said female colleague had more experience in this space than I, so I obliged. I called Old City Flowers at 1:30 to order a bouquet to be delivered (free delivery, by the way). My wife texted me at 3:30 saying, "Thank you so much for the flowers; they're beautiful." Seriously? A 2-hour turnaround!? You rock OCF - I can't thank you enough for saving the day!

It seems that Old City Flowers is trying a little too hard to be "Society Hill Flowers." On my recent visit, after not being comfortable choosing between their $45, $55 or $65 selections, I asked the florist for something more reasonably-priced, under $20. He tried to push me towards the $45, that he offered at a discount, but I didn't need a basket with my flowers. Can't a guy just get some flowers over heuh?? The florist said that he said he could put something together. He came back with a $20 bouquet that was seriously lacking in the foliage. Being a person who doesn't like to be rude, I kindly accept the measly offer, paid the $20 plus tax and went on my way and vowing to never return. Two stars for selection, pricing. One star for customer service. Try the Reading Terminal for a great alternative for flowers.

I sent flowers to a friend and they were gorgeous! Very fresh, bright and fun! The arrangement was very full and eye-catching! Actually more pleased than I expected to be and for such a reasonable price too. Even better I ordered yesterday for delivery today and they arrived just before 10am, perfect timing and from what I understand the delivery was pleasant as well.. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone in the Philadelphia area and should I need to send flowers in the area again I definitely will use them! Buying fresh arrangements from your local florist is definitely the way to go! Adds a personal touch that you can't get when you get your flowers via UPS in a box!

used Old City Flowers many years ago then started using online florists. I'm back and so happy with the quality, selection, creativity and especially service. Not only that but I'm supporting a small local business

It's valentines day so of course one must send flowers. I requested for the florist to do something original, noting that stargazers were a favorite. A lovely display was delivered on time. I'll be using them again and if the service and arrangement are as good next time, will surely bump them to 5 stars.

Tried to order a bouquet for my girlfriend while I was out of state. The order was cancelled without a phone call because the card contained the line "shove it up your butt" from the show the Office which is an inside joke because we both enjoy the show. I called and explained the message, and they still would not accommodate. The florist cited her reputation because someone would see this at the office where it would be delivered. Um...put the name on the little envelop and no one sees the card inside. Don't use this florist if you have any personality or didn't grow up in the 50s. They probably do not have any cards from the humor section. Maybe ok for a funeral I guess.

Shout out to Susan for her kind reassurance on the phone. I ordered flowers for the Church altar for my daughter's wedding in September 2020. It was difficult for me to do this over the phone due to Covid. The wedding was being live streamed and I wanted beautiful flowers. Susan totally understood and said she would make the arrangements 2 dimensional so the flowers would be more to the front and would show up nicely for the cameras. I was so happy when I walked down the aisle and saw the gorgeous flowers. They were sensational! Thanks Susan, for your help and kindness.

I called from out of state...and they were extremely accommodating. ...pleasant, assisted in my explanation of what I wanted and assured me the delivery would be done...and it was done and my sister is thrilled....what more could you want?! Thank You to Old City Flowers
