Authentic Native American products. 65% of merchandise made in America. Lovely store with eat in restaurant. Great ice-cream from local vendor. 2nd oldest active building in Yellowstone. Located next to Old Faithful Inn.

Really nice little spot for shopping and souvenirs. There was quite a wait for food but we didn’t get any. The workers were kind and helpful with self check out. A good stop for items next to Old Faithful!

During our July 2025 Yellowstone trip, the Old Faithful Basin Store was a nice surprise. Built in 1897 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this charming spot next to Old Faithful Inn has a nostalgic atmosphere that’s worth experiencing. We stopped for lunch and ordered hamburgers. Our bison and elk burgers were juicy and unique, served promptly by our friendly waitress who chatted with us about the park. The staff’s warmth made our visit memorable. The gift shop offered lots of unique souvenirs. We purchased a few souvenirs here, but the prices definitely reflect the remoteness of the store. The store was crowded, due to it being peak season, and lines for the lunch counter were long but manageable as we browsed souvenirs. While the food menu isn’t extensive, the quality and cozy dining area make it well worth the visit. For a quick, tasty meal and a dose of Yellowstone history, this store is a must-visit. I will be back for their tasty food and warm friendly staff.

Hidden gem. This is the best place to eat at Old Faithful. Most folks go to the upper store/cafeteria and totally miss this place. It has a ton of character and the sit down dining is great. We went several times during our stay near the park and always had great service. It’s basically the same menu at all the restaurants throughout the park but the quality and speed here is great.

Lovely building, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stopped there often for ice cream. The huckleberry fudge float was great after a hot day of walking in the park.

Tastiest food in the Old Faithful area! Most awesome servers. It's worth the visit. They also have unique gifts that aren't sold everywhere.

Actually great breakfast food - better than anywhere else in the park. Most underrated food place in the park as well. Giant 3-stack pancakes? Fresh bacon? All here, and the prices are pretty good considering it's food in a National Park. The eggs were cooked perfectly to the way we wanted them as well. Everything was hot and delicious! The waitress at the bar eating area was very kind, prompt, and quick. We had a great experience! Plus, I can buy the huckleberry ice cream sandwiches here :)

General merchandise store with dining area in old historic building in Old Faithful Basin area. It is Hamilton’s Store. I ate breakfast there. Food was good. Service excellent. Prices what you expect in a major national park in remote area.
