Old Faithful General Store

This store is understandably super busy. Our negative experience was not because of that. My husband and I were standing looking at hats with our 2 kids right behind us. They are 11 and 13. There was a table right next to us with drums sitting on it. Our bots picked one up and tapped on it a few times and showed us. I told them to put them back and they did. Right as they set them down, and employee ran over and told them not to touch them and scooted them all away from the edge. Neither of us adults heard her talk to our kids. I only found out because my older one was almost in tears because she was rude. I think if you have stuff in a store, especially drums, that you dont want people to touch, put up a sign or put them up higher. And she could have said something to us, not whispered to my kids, I was literally right there. I understand employees are probably stressed right now but she was rude and the item had already been put down. Also, we did go back to check and there were no signs saying not to touch them. I am sure not all employees are rude but this one sure was. We were planning on buying a few items but put everything down and left after this happened. Went to the shop next door, they were much nicer and even talked to our kids like people.

Great place to get Huckleberry coffee! Nice selection of clothing and gifts. I got cute Christmas ornaments to remember our trip. Helpful clerks. Bear spray available here. Nice cafe. Next to gas station

A pricey, but convenient location to pick up essential items during your visit to Yellowstone National Park. A decent variety of items and a very friendly staff. Obviously given the secluded location in the middle of the park, prices are ten to twenty percent higher than outside of the park, but if you absolutely need something critical during your visit, they probably have it. Decent selection of souvenir items as well.

Super cute little store! Lots of souvenirs, a cute little café, even a little discount section that had some cute items that I didn't end up leaving with, but definitely worth checking out! My husband and I left with 3 tshirts and some yummy ice cream!

This General store really had a good selection of things one could want. It had lots of souvenirs and other trinkets that one may want. They had a section in the back for some comfort style foods. The had a grocery section for folks who may need to resupply. And of course the have restrooms. I found it interesting that they actually have a rope line for the woman's restroom. I guess they get a lot of folks looking to visit. The restrooms are small with only two stalls in the woman's room, according to the wife. So that's probably the reason it can get a line at times. They have an upstairs that I think had clearance items and such. But I didn't go up there. we only stopped for a snack from the grocery section. I purchased an item and used the cash yourself out area, just to try it. It worked, but refused to print out my receipt, no matter how many times I hit that button. Eventually it went back to start for the next victim. This is why in don't like things like that. I would rather deal with a human with a job. My bad. The employee at the register next to it, says it happens all the time. I should have went to the human. All in all this was one pretty big general store. It was also one very crowded general store. Maybe it was just the time that we were there. It was about 2:30-3pm. It was a nice place though even with all those people. A soon as we left the store we ran into some new friends. I added a picture or two of them as well just to remind folks what this store is all about.

CHECK YOUR RECEIPT VERY CAREFULLY!!!! Although there was PLENTY to choose from, our experience was fraudulent. One particular item was CLEARLY marked as $65.00. When we got home, we saw we were charged $125.00!! At a different shop in the park, the exact same item was marked $25.00. I have tried calling the phone number printed on the receipt, SURPRISE it's not a working phone number! I have tried going to the website printed on the receipt, SURPRISE it's not a valid website! Even the address PRINTED ON THE RECEIPT, surprise is NOT the address of where this General Store is actually located. What the hell is going on? This is mind-boggling, WHY wouldn't the information YOU supply on the paying customers receipt NOT have the correct information? Me thinks so customers who catch the fraudulent charges CANNOT contact you??? Hmmmmmm...... gave one star because ZERO was NOT an option!

Tons of stuff to choose from as far as souvenirs and shirts go. One could get lost in it all. Very clean store and very friendly staff Perfect place to burn some time while your waiting for old faithful to recharge for the show. Great times. Will definitely come back for more

This is a beautiful gift shop enclosed within the Lodge. We watched Old Faithful erupt. Then visited the gift shop. I purchased the cutest lil souvenir that is found nowhere else!

Great burgers, fast service and friendly staff. We sat at the bar and ordered a chicken sandwich and a bison cheese burger, it was cooked fast and delicious. The service was fast and the staff were friendly.

This place is price-y but it hits the spot. They have the basics for you to buy inside but no fresh sandwiches or snacks to take with you for the day as we had hoped... for that you'll have to walk all the way around the back lot and visitor center to the Ski Lodge where they do actually have some sandwiches for sale. This store is co-located with the soda fountain restaurant and the gift shop and you can find water, sodas, chips and sundries like lotions and deodorant if you forgot or need to buy something. Prices are high but you can expect that inside a National Park.

The Old Faithful village area in Yellowstone National Park is one of the few spots where you can dine, lodge and get gas at. It's one of the few spots for Wi-Fi service too if you need it. This general store services many needs if you need to stock up on some things. There are groceries, ice cream, drinks, souvenirs, and apparel available for purchase. There is also a counter service restaurant that has sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, etc. It does get pretty busy here during peak times and prices can be high. But I was able to pick up most of my gift items and some snacks when I stopped here. Old faithful General Store is only open during the summer.

This place saved me from starving. Got a Bison hot dog in the back of the store called the Snack Bar. They have ice cream and flat breads too. The hot dog was whatever that came with Lay's chips. Random chips were stale and others were fresh, so that was kind of weird. The meal alone was not worth the $8+ though.

This is not your typical souvenir store with no character. This has the air of a cozy cabin in the woods, airy and woody, pretty and spacious. Tons of things to browse and buy. If you are one of those mug collectors with your name on it, they have hundreds, literally every name imaginable. They carry from the cheapo mementos to the high end gifts, many of them California made, many as well by Native Americans. Better than the vanilla Chinese made that you can find anywhere. Very good quality plush animals. I got a black bear, looks so cute that I feel like I can talk to him and is ready to reply back! They also have a small deli/restaurant. Surprisingly, my clam chowder was very good and it was very nice and clean.

Wish I could rate this but had to blow through it to find some food for dinner. All restaurants are to go still which really sucks thus 1 star. This General Store closed at 6pm which is lame when you want to eat and then do some shopping at the end of the day at the park attractions. Please keep the store open to 9pm like the other smaller gift shops.

It's really big and make sure you wear your mask inside. It's the only store at Old Faithful to shop but it has everything from cloths to food. Once old faithful erupts everyone walks to the store like cattle to the barn so be fast when old faithful is over and get there fast.

Very nice store but busy and traffic can be challenging. This store is at the heart of the Old Faithful complex. Traffic around this area is a bit challenging and people drove very fast around this area. There were at least 2 detours due to construction adding to the traffic issues. Parking was limited near the store but there were additional lots a short walk away. The store was observing COVID guidelines when we visited by requiring all personnel to wear facemasks including customers and having people enter by one set of doors and leave by different doors. They had lots of stock (souvenirs) and the staff was very friendly and efficient. If you are looking for souvenirs and are willing to deal with the traffic, this would be a good place to shop.

Honestly a pretty yummy chicken sandwich! The waiter went above and beyond to get me extra hot sauce and water. He was also overall just really nice! This place is super beautiful, obviously, it's Yellowstone. Best food for the price in the area for sure. Would recommend!

Stopped in for lunch while on a tour of Yellowstone. I ordered pulled pork with French fries. The sandwich was good, pork is tender but could have used mire bbq sauce, which I asked for. Great service at the counter by Eric! Actually all the servers were very friendly and there to make you happy!

There are quite a few options for buying souviners - some of the same old items you get at all gift stores but some very fun unique items. There are a lot of choices to get your fill of Huckleberry flavored items. Anything from syrup, flavored popcorn, jam, barbeque sauce and vodka, just to name a few. If you want the huckleberry ice cream though, plan on standing in line but the wait is worth it.
