A lot going on here! Building has been refurbished and repurposed. Offices, restaurants, Visitor Center. Nextdoor was a farmers market on Saturday morning.

Love history and historical architecture... Totally refurbished and repurposed... Includes a visitors center, restaurant / bar and cafe, other offices! All ng side the courthouse is a farmer's market on Saturdays Surrounded by other restaurants and bars. Area has a great vibe! Pick up a brochure for the historical walking tour at the visitors center along with info on museums and other attractions

In the middle of downtown you will see such a historical site that has much history. History that sometimes can be reflected as bad, but overall every experience without serious harm can become experience, strength, and hope. There is a restaurant that I can't think of the name right now, but there is a lot of traffic so I assume that the food is great. The tables outside where people lunch and dine, is right in the middle of a bustling city that is constantly growing and vibrant. The steps facing Main Street are good steps to work out. The location of the Place blesses you with the view of The Fifth Third Bank, which is the highest skyscraper in Lexington, such a beautiful area to sightsee. God bless

The courthouse was going to be torn down. The city stepped in and bought the building in great disrepair. They totally refurbished it...only the floors in the Visitors Center are original. However, now this building has so much happening inside it, including a restaurant and lovely office spaces.

We went to a winter candlelight strings concert Dec 2024. It is a nice venue, entrance in the back side, elevator up to 4F. And the players sounded very good.

In late 2018, the newly renovated Old Fayette County Courthouse finally opened its doors and became a hub for public use in Lexington, Kentucky’s historic downtown. Although the exact fate of the courthouse was unclear just months before the start of the renovation, the long awaited adaptive reuse project is now home to a variety of different businesses that exemplify the spirit of the Bluegrass.

Beautiful renovation of an icon public building where much of the “little histories” of the Bluegrass has played out. Remember the significance of this also being the location of the Cheapside Slave Auctions.
