Old Forester Distilling Co.

We had such a great experience at the tour at Old Forester. Our tour guide was fantastic - she was funny, knowledgable, and entertaining. The length was just right and the tasting felt very personal. We highly recommend the experience.

This was our first stop on the Bourbon Trail! We loved our tour guide and the tour as well! We got to see how they char their barrels which was so awesome and interactive. We also saw how they make their barrels which we enjoyed seeing. We ended with a tasting that was done in a beautiful room and nicely set up as well. Only con is that we were on the last tour of the day so we did feel kind of rushed during the tasting. Besides that, we had a great time! Would definitely recommend.

Loved the tour! If you are looking to try more exclusive releases I'd recommend the more expensive tour, it's worth it to try the limited bourbons. But the regular tour was awesome! You never know when the store is going to bust out a harder to find run of bottles to sell I wasn't lucky enough to be there at the right day or time but they had a selection of the more commonly found old Forester bourbons and other gifts. Very cool history and building.

Had an amazing time the Old Forester Distilling. We did the tour and absolutely loved learning the history and seeing how the Distilling process works. Watching how the barrels are made, including the charring process was an added treat. I gotta say that the marshmallow cookie was also a nice touch with the tastings. Noah did a fantastic job and made the whole tour very interesting. I personally loved each one of the bourbons we tried. While waiting, we had a holiday drink in the bar area and did a little shopping in the shop. We do a lot of tours and this was one of our favorites!

The tour was awesome!! We had so much fun and learned a ton. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting at the end was the perfect cherry on top. Gift shop inside was very nice and had a ton of cool things to bring back home.

Great distillery tour to take while visiting Lousiville. Our guide, Carter, was very knowledgeable and provided good information about the bourbon making process and the history. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour! Terrific experience seeing every component of the bourbon-making process, including making their own barrels! And I even snagged an exclusive bottle of 1924 that I am very proud of. Would absolutely go to the main campus on my next visit. Loved Old Forestor before we flew to KY… love it even more now!

Loved our tour here - our first ever. We lucked out in picking this one since it gave a great intro to bourbon production and some of the history of bourbon in Louisville/the US. For complete newbies it was an excellent pick since they went over what makes bourbon bourbon, the aging process, the barrels etc etc - and in a beautifully created building for the visitor experience in mind. Tour guide and all staff were very knowledgeable, and helpful!
