Old Friend Photobooth

My best friend and I visited this photo booth on our nyc day trip and it’s the perfect souvenir!! There was a line on a Monday around noon, but it moved fairly quick. The photos take a couple mins to print, and it was everything I wanted & more!

Immediately put this on your New York City best-things-to-do list! I fell in love with Old Friend Photobooth first from their IG account then reading their New York Times feature then experiencing it firsthand! My own photos are epic! And a highlight was standing in line with two different couples who came straight from City Hall after their nuptials to take their wedding pictures! Old Friend Photobooth is truly an old friend now!

Not great, the line was extremely long it takes like 3 min to print the pics after you take them and if people take a lot of pics then that’s 3 extra minutes for each time… I waited for like 40 min because there were a group of friends that took a lot of pics so if you see a long line, definitely consider how long you’re willing to wait. The pictures were not bad but not worth the long wait.

I loved this photobooth!! It’s $8 PER photo strip and it’s card only. Right when you pay, you have about three seconds to pose before the camera starts taking pictures. My friend and I planned our poses before we went in so do that if you feel you might blank out!! I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a small line but nothing crazy. We also met so many friendly people in line too which was so nice! :)

So happy I got a chance to stop by! Make sure to check their operating hours on their instagram page for updates. The wait didn’t take long at all and the photos came out beautiful. They are my favorite photo booth photos to date and a great keepsake memory. The owners are so kind and let a group retake their photos when the booth didn’t print their images the first time. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area! ☺️

Super cute vintage photo booth right in the lower east side! The photos take a while to print (typical of photo booths like this) but the line has never been more than 3-4 people when I’ve gone (usually post happy hour)!

The Old Friend Photobooth is a vintage-inspired photobooth spot in NYC that brings a nostalgic touch to capturing memories. ($5 per photo) Tip: The moment you pay the camera starts there isn’t a warning so be prepared! After you finish your photo you wait on the side usually takes 5min for the photo to drop! The line was pretty long but worth the wait!!

The best genuine film photo booth in New York. Imperfections in the photos, focus, and film strips ADD to the experience of being able to use a machine over 50 years old! Will be returning, thanks for being here old friend.
