We stopped by for lunch, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The interior is exactly what you’d expect for in an old-school gamekeeper’s lodge—warm wood tones, classic rustic details, and a large open fireplace that adds a wonderful sense of charm and coziness to the entire space.
To start, we had the wild game sausage and their homemade mushroom soup. The sausage was flavorful and aromatic, with a pleasant depth typical of well-prepared game. The mushroom soup was hearty, satisfying, and beautifully earthy—an ideal beginning to the meal.
For the main courses, we ordered the wild game steaks (deer, fallow deer, and wild boar) and the wild boar cutlets. The steaks were cooked perfectly and offered a fascinating comparison of different game meats, each with its own distinctive taste. The clear standout, however, was the wild boar cutlets: tender, juicy, and extremely enjoyable to eat. They were the kind of dish you remember long after the meal is over.
The menu itself is impressive, full of options that make choosing just one dish surprisingly difficult. It’s the kind of place you immediately want to return to so you can try more.
Staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, contributing to a very pleasant dining experience overall.
