Old Haa Museum and Tearoom

Interesting museum with stories of local people plus a lovely tea room with excellent coffee & cakes. ( they have a wide range of teas & decaf coffee and even Oat Milk). There is a beautiful garden to sit out in on a nice day with curious sculptures made of different types of local stone. Plus local crafts, especially knitting. And the staff are lovely!

Cafe serves decent cafetiere coffee and nice cakes. Some interesting artefacts in the free museum. Also sells crafts and artwork.

Nice girl makes good coffee and you can get tea as well and lemmon cake. And a good exhibition.

Another great place to learn about the fleur and fauna, geology and history of Shetland in the local area. Make sure you sample the tearoom cakes and check out the garden!

Undoubtedly the most interesting sight on Yell. A fascinating historic haa (laird's house) housing a collection dedicated to many aspects of the island's history and culture, geology, nature, maritime heritage and more. Also the most amazing tea room with a huge range of scrumptious home made cakes such as chocolate, lemon drizzle, carrot, almond etc plus really good coffee a welcome haven on a cool and windy day. Also a lovely sheltered garden at the back.

Lovely museum quite a bit to see considering size. Tea room is lovely and friendly staff, could do with proper coffee machine though The cakes are really nice too.

Interesting museum with lots to look at , cafe is really cute (hot / cold drinks and cake kind of vibe) . Would recommend the lemon shortcake !
