Absolutely beautiful with a view that you find yourself staring over for as long as you please. Fun place for families as well and bring a blanket and a towel to relax and go for a dip. Any museum is a welcome addition to any little road trip I take ❤️❤️❤️

We visited whilst in the area and really enjoyed it! The museum has some interactive sections (my favourite being the section where you can listen to the different whale calls) which was really cool! The museum has 3 parts in different buildings which also guides you to walk around the area a bit! There were a few things missing in the whale museum due to insufficient funding, so please donate if you are able, museums are so important ❤️

It’s full of interesting historical items that give a great glimpse into the town’s fishing and whaling past. A lovely place to explore if you’re curious about the history of Hermanus and its connection to the sea.

A very small museum with not much inside, but worth a visit together with the Old Harbor area nearby.
Tickets are also valid to enter the Whale museum and Photo museum.

Had a magnificent kayaking adventure from the old, historic harbour. One could almost sense the entrepid fishermen of years gone by, venturing forth in surging, angry seas in heavy, ponderous boats whilst we skipped out in our modern unsinkable kayaks....
