12 Best Beach Clubs in Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"An informal beer garden just off the Batu Bolong surf break, Old Man’s has been a Canggu institution for more than two decades. So although it can be a bit scruffy around the edges when compared to its newer peers, the club still attracts a strong crowd, especially during its daily happy hour (5–6 p.m.), when all drinks are buy one get one free. And there's always something going on here: soccer finals on the big screen, live music, DJs, barbecues, and more." - Xerxes Cook

The best surfer hangouts in Bali - SilverKris

"A popular open-air post-surf bar that attracts a mixed crowd of expats and tourists straight from the waves, featuring a long bar, lounge seating and a relaxed vibe; patrons can order ice-cold beers or cocktails and refuel with pizzas, salads, burgers, fish and chips or Asian dishes, while weekly events include beer pong nights and live music on weekends." - Anita Surewicz

Nice spot for drinks, good happy hour deals throughout the evening. Stopped by for a few pre-dinner drinks, and to watch the sunset. Sunset view is slightly obstructed by a building along the beach, but tasty cocktails keep you happy. Nice view of surfers, slightly windier so prepare for this. Occasionally difficult to attract a server’s attention during busy periods, and quite a scene caused by the Wednesday evening beer pong competition, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Visited Old Man’s in Canggu and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s a lively and fun place with a great beachside vibe, especially in the late afternoon and evening. The location right near the beach makes it perfect for sunset drinks. The music was good, the crowd was mixed with locals and tourists, and the energy was relaxed but social. Drinks were reasonably priced for Canggu, and service was fast even when it got busy. It’s a great spot to meet people or just enjoy the vibe with friends. Overall, Old Man’s is a classic Canggu hangout — casual, lively, and always a good time. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Old Man’s Bali Café is one of those iconic beachfront spots in Canggu that perfectly captures the laid-back island vibe. Located right by Batu Bolong Beach, it’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a coffee after a morning surf, grab lunch with friends, or chill with a cocktail while watching the sunset. The atmosphere is casual, friendly, and always buzzing with good energy. The food menu offers a nice mix of Western and local dishes. I tried the fish tacos and the nasi goreng—both fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. Their smoothies and juices are also worth trying, especially on a hot Bali afternoon. For drinks, they serve great cocktails and cold Bintang beer, and the bar area gets lively in the evenings with music and people from all over the world. What I really like about Old Man’s is its open-air setting—spacious wooden tables, colorful murals, and that unbeatable ocean view. The staff are friendly, quick to serve, and always smiling. Prices are reasonable considering the prime beachfront location. Overall, Old Man’s Bali Café is a must-visit if you want to relax, meet people, and enjoy great food with the sound of waves in the background. A true Canggu classic!

Old Man’s in Canggu is already an iconic beach bar, but Wednesday night beer pong takes it to an entirely different level. The atmosphere is electric from the moment you arrive, with groups gathering around the massive beer pong tables, music blasting, and the crowd cheering every throw. It feels less like a casual game and more like a full-scale event, with the energy of a sports match but the carefree fun of a night out with friends. The setup is impressive, with huge tables that make the game even more exciting and easy for everyone to watch. People crowd around, whether they are playing or not, and it becomes a communal experience where strangers are cheering together, laughing at the misses, and celebrating the big wins. Even if you are not playing, the energy pulls you in and makes you feel part of it. What stood out most was how the night felt like a blend of competition and celebration. Everyone was there to have fun, and even though people took the games seriously, the vibe stayed friendly and inclusive. It is easy to strike up conversations, make new friends, and get caught up in the excitement. Drinks kept flowing, the music stayed high energy, and the whole place turned into one giant party. For us, it was unforgettable. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the crowd, hugging after a big win, and shouting encouragement across the tables created memories we will never forget. Old Man’s beer pong night is not just an activity, it is an experience that captures the best of Canggu’s nightlife: lively, a little chaotic, but endlessly fun. Five stars for creating a night that felt like pure celebration from start to finish.

My favourite bar.. The vibe is really cool, perfect for relaxing and hanging out with friends. Friendly staffs, good food but not many variants, spacious place, excellent service, big parking, plenty of drinks to choose from.. Please invite international djs to play at Old Man bar more often... High recommendation guys!! 🤩🥳😎

I’ve been to Old Man’s at least 6 times at this point hehe. A good place to eat yummy pizza and drinks, and to have a wonderful shake that ass night!! Just one complain: I had a watermelon cocktail tonight and it tasted like it had 0% alcohol in it 🤡

Nice music and there is a good vibe in the club. The only thing that was kinda weird is that there was no DJ anoymore around 01:15. Regardles I think the admosfire was amazing and the music was realy nice and had a good flow. Beers are cheap like 70/80k per beer.
