We’ve just returned from a two night stay. We were greeted with a warm welcome, our room was spacious and clean, the breakfast options were good and food tasty (although a few more Scottish additions to the full Scottish breakfast would be great - haggis and some local butcher sausages). The location is fantastic and the garden is lovely. The guest house is only a ten minute walk from the train station and ferry port and it overlooks the sea - amazing views. Good value for money. Perfect for a mini-break!

Had a 3 night stay at the Old Manse. On site parking which is a big plus, we have stayed in hotels in Oban where you have to first find and use pay and display car parks. No need for that here. Only 5 minutes walk into town centre where there's plenty of choice for eating and drinking . Love that there's plenty of fresh seafood everywhere. Yum yum! Greeted by Simon who made us very welcome. We where in room 2. Great size room with en suite. Fantastic views of Oban Harbour. Tea coffee and biscuits in room which are replenished daily. Also a wee decanter of Sherry, nice touch!! Breakfast was cooked by Anna , cooked to order with plenty of choice and absolutely delicious. Very friendly hosts who always had time for a chat. No hesitation booking here anytime we are in Oban.Totally recommend.

What a wonderful bed & breakfast at a fantastic price. Simon and his wife were absolutely delightful hosts, not to mention incredibly interesting people with great stories and laughs. I mean everything was delightful -- the view from the hill, the breakfast, the old rooms, the old boom box in our room with Scottish classical music CDs, the hosts. Importantly, they have an area for you to park for free (hard to find in this town!). The location is perfect. Just a short, charming walk down the hill to the center of town.

Amazing place and amazing hosts. The location is just gorgeous and the room was just perfect. Hosts were super helpful in guiding is to all the right places to eat at and to explore around. He also guided me on further travel and points of interested beyond Oban. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in my Scotland stay. Perfect all around.

This was our first international trip during this pandemic. Simon and Anna made the booking process so easy. The place is awesome, great location (free parking is a plus). The breakfast was so good and you get plenty of options daily. Welcoming tea/coffee was a nice touch after a long drive from Edinburgh. We highly recommend the Old Manse. Hope to come back sometime in a future.

Cute little B&B with lovely owners. Breakfast was superb with about 3 courses!!! The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and to top it off for us, a huge bath complete with a bottle of bubble bath! Even more welcome as our stay broke up 2 weeks of camping!!!

The best place we have stayed in Oban. I would highly recommend The Old Manse for anyones stay in Oban. Simon and Ann were very welcoming and had a great sense of humour. The family suite we stayed in was spotless. We will definitely be back for another stay. A good variety of different breakfasts were on offer as well and also at dinner time also. Excellent food served. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome. Jacqueline and Colin.

Beautiful house with a wonderful welcome after a long drive! Fabulous surroundings and close to the town for shopping or site seeing. Very comfortable bed and an inviting hospitality tray which was a pleasant surprise 😊 Would love to stay again.

Yelp
We stayed in Oban because we wanted to be able to tour the islands. We wanted a central location and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We brought back a bottle of wine one evening since there were wine glasses in the room and we enjoyed it on the outside side table and watching the sunset. Such a beautiful display of colors and such a tranquil setting. The breakfasts are quite tasty. It's only a quick walk down the hill to the city center. Simon and Anna are such lovely people, so friendly and helpful. One word of advice is follow the directions that Simon sends to you and you won't get lost.
