Old Market

Not too far from the Cathedral Market, this market is busy with a lot of vendors that sell food, Glühwein, and fun items to bring home for Christmas. There was a brass band playing Christmas Carols on the center of the market which gave it a warm and cozy feeling. There are bathrooms (€1) at the end of the market where the Ferris wheel is.

Great for international visitors to view local fare. A vast array of mushrooms, cheese, deli meats, oils, truffles etc.

Loved the whole vibe, the food and the lights. Very beautiful decoration and it felt very high production value. Must visit.

A very traditional square in the centre of Cologne. Well worth a visit; beautiful buildings and plenty of restaurants.

in a city as big as Cologne you can expect something more from the old town. In Cologne, it is worth visiting the Cathedral and seeing the bridge - nothing else. The city was badly damaged during World War 2, but it is located in Western Germany and had much more time to rebuild than Dresden, Poznań or Krakow - which have 10x more to offer.

A nice little German town center for shopping and eating. Look for the clock tower that has a little face of a man that pops out every hour to stick out his tongue.

Lovely historic market square with lots of cafes, restaurants and beer houses. Nice relaxed place to sit, eat and watch the world go by
