On a road trip from Tucson to Cincinnati we noticed a place called "Bourbon", Bourbon, Missouri. "Dad" is a bourbon drinker and collector; how could we NOT stop and pick up a souvenir bottle of something from Bourbon? What a friendly place. They made us feel welcome. They offered samples with a description of each. Michael selected a bottle based on the sampling. During the sampling we talked with other customers and as we were leaving they offered congratulations and safe travels wishes just like we were old friends. Great atmosphere. Great products.

This is a must stop for the bourbon lover!! We drove 2+ hours out of the way to visit. My wife and I walked in and were greeted by Sidney and Gabby. Sidney was amazing, I can't believe she's only been there for 2 years. She started going over the available bottles to sample, and she went over all of the tasting notes... every single bottle. (I fell in love... no offense to my wife :)). Anyway, this place is awesome!! They have wine slushes for the non whiskey drinkers as well. There is some cool merchandise available for purchase. It's just a really cool, laid-back atmosphere that I would love to visit again. Last but not least, Jarrod, you better let Sidney do some more blends!! Her bottle was delicious!!!

This is not a true Distillery because they have all of their juices brought in from MGB. They do a good job of blending different barrels. As a first time visitor, it would have been helpful to have a paper to be able to make notes as they explain the different bourbons and whiskeys. Friendly staff, neat place.

Wow! WOW!! WOW!!! This place is definitely a must try. Being that they are currently #1, we were very excited to try them out. I love bourbon, I’ve done the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and several other places all over. The Bourbon I tried here is the best I have ever had. Matt explained everything, gave us a little paper to write out all our notes. We did flights, and I loved everything I tried. I was asked what kind of bourbon I liked then Matt made sure to give me bourbons according to my taste. I bought a bottle for my husband for our 21 year anniversary in July of next month. My step dad was getting goosebumps from one of the tastings on his flight, and I was blown away by the straight Rye.

Visited twice and my buddy is a Gold Member. I have to say not only are their products delicious and amazing their people are even better. They are so welcoming and caring, from making sure we have everything we need to make sure we are safe to leave and everything else in between. Very knowledgeable on what they have and super generous. I love stopping by and enjoying my stay. Thanks for being great!

Surprised! We have been excited to try so we decided to swing in on a return trip from a weekend on the White River. Unassuming distillery located in a strip mall. While we were welcomed warmly, I wish I had more of an experience. When asked about the offerings, I was pointed to the lineup of spirits over the merchandise rack and left up to my own devices to pick my tastings. Thankfully, I have a bit of knowledge and picked 3, but I feel that I might have missed out on a "new to me" experience. The pours were on the light side. The Rye was a winner with us. Purchasing a $170.00( correction 145.00 a bottle plus the tax was 174 and change) bottle is not new to me, however the lack of experience that should accompany it was...unless I am grabbing an "oh my gosh" find from a local spirits store, I like a more personal experience. Just my experience. **edit** Our bill was $174. We had 1 tasting, which they note is free if you buy a bottle(fabulous), and 1 bottle of rye...oh! She also handed us a bottle of water, maybe that was a charge. Regardless, this has been our experience, this is the total charged for 1 bottle and we are not complaining about the price of the bottle or quality of the product(we obviously liked it enough to buy it), just that we wished the experience was better. Cheers. Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!

Barrel King is a hidden gem - a bourbon boutique that prides itself on tailored finishes that create a perfect taste profile. Although some of the finishes may seem mainstream, it’s far from it. Each barrel is carefully chosen, aged, and bottled. This is one of the best businesses around, with owners/staff that make you feel like family. Highly recommend the subscription to have access to top tier whiskey at a good price point! You will never leave Barrel King unhappy or thirsty!

If you haven’t made a purposeful trip to Old Road Craft Spirits, you’re missing out. Having met Rachael, Jarrod, Sidney, and Joey, it’s easy to feel more than welcome each time you visit. Having heard of them through Fred Minnick’s ASCOT awards, it was a place I knew I had to try out. Blown away is the best way to describe the experience. Their finished bourbon is absolutely fantastic, and their rye finishes will please any level of enthusiast in your circles. Outside of the whiskey, there’s live music nights, movie showings, and other fun events they throw from time to time. Take the effort, make the trip.
