There's nothing like stalking a band in a Mel-esque way, and there's nothing like doing said stalking in a completely empty bar....
THAT SAID, I get the feeling that this place isn't always empty. In fact, I think they draw some pretty good crowds. The courtyard is to die for, and is perfect for enjoying a meal and basking in the sunshine.
The bar portion is intimate and cozy, with gimmicky yet cute decorations like a gigantic Kokopelli art thing on the wall, complemented by the Guinness string lights. This area (along with the courtyard) also happens to play host to live music quite frequently. Excellent for said Mel-ish stalking. Some of my friends played here, and it was a pretty good venue.
Also, the bartender/cook is a sweetheart. It'd been a super-long day, and I asked for an "amazing" margarita, and he delivered. It was a little tart, but it did the job and then some, if you know what I mean *nudge, nudge*.
Oh, and I did I mention that this place is in historic downtown Tucson, among 150-year-old adobe buildings and such? Yeah, it pretty much rules.
