"Old Town Hot Springs, Mandatory Soak in Steamboat Old Town Hot Springs is an enormous, bustling, splashing place, a multi-use complex of earth-warmed mineral pools and water slides, where locals meet and visitors to Steamboat Springs should go at least once during your stay. Your entrance fee ($16 adults, $9 children) is for all day, so you can splash around with the kids in the shallow pools by afternoon, then return for a soak in the hotter adults-only pool after they're asleep. Old Town Hot Springs is a non-profit community venture, open from early in the morning (5:30a.m. on weekdays) till 10 p.m. and it is right in the center of downtown, at 136 Lincoln Ave."

Our third time being here was fun, a family of four with two children with access to the slides that open at 12:00 cost us around $130 which is a great price. The ice cold tub is amazing!! Unfortunately they are redoing the pools, they will be available next year. We got there early at 8am on Labor Day weekend. They let you bring in your own coolers too which is really great, staff is quick and nice. I recommend the smoothies they sell inside the building.

Fun for kids of all ages. we loved the hot springs pools and the regular pools too. So much variety of things to do. We were 4 adults and we had a great time.

I enjoyed my visit relaxing in the outdoor natural hot springs, although only the heart spring is all natural. Their other pools are filled with chlorine. There’s construction ongoing, although the pools remain open. The facilities were clean and check in was a breeze. This location has a rock climbing wall, fitness center and yoga classes.

Google
We had a great time. Due to the temperatures in the pool, our family of 4 was able to stay in the water over an hour. It was $105 for two kids and two adults. No reservations were needed. We knew the lap pool was under construction, but other things were closed too. Unfortunately, both bridges were closed, as well as another pool that got too hot. So while it was expensive for what we got, I am still overall very happy and glad we went.

Google
This is great location and convenient hot springs, but is currently under construction. Based on signage it looks like it will not be done until summer of 2025 or later. Future plans do look amazing - can’t wait to visit after completion. My husband likes to couple cold plunging with hot springs and, unfortunately, the cold plunge was closed during our visit.

I have been here a few times now and always have the best experience!! Such a great spot with amenities for all ages…. including the hot springs there is full size gym, cycle rooms, yoga, a climbing wall, sauna, etc., literally anything you need all in one spot. This place is most importantly the perfect way to relax with family and friends after a long day on the mountain!! Their customer service is incredible as well… will be returning ASAP!!

Google
We went to this Hot Spring on a Friday in July and the crowd was not bad at all. The parking is limited though. Small parking lot for the amount of people. We had a great time. Very nice updated facilities. Lockers are free. The staff members we encountered were also very nice. Definitely recommend if you are passing through Steamboat or for a day trip to the area.

Google
We were so impressed with this facility. Our kids loved the climbing wall—especially our daughter. She really stuck with it and the attendants were both helpful and encouraging. The hot pools were clean and so relaxing. We loved that we could come and go with a hand stamp too! Suit and towel rentals are available. There is also a fitness center and fitness classes are included with your day pass. Everyone was helpful and kind—the customer service definitely brought us back for a second day visit. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I spent a day visiting my family in Steamboat and wanted to have a more relaxing day so I came here! I got a massage, used the hot springs and enjoyed the fire. Great value if you're looking for a way to spend the day!

Yelp
Nice place to soak in the hot pools. It's very family friendly so if you don't like kids it's not for you. Front desk staff is super accommodating and they have lockers, showers and a full gym for the one time entrance fee. I was there for a few hours and loved every minute of it and next time will try the ice bath loll

Yelp
For what you get, I felt it was overpriced. The slides are extra. You have to pay for entry even if you're not swimming and at 100$ for 2 kids, 2 slides, and myself (I did not swim) is a lot to ask. If you have to pay for entry but are not using the facilities, how about something more reasonable than $30? We didn't use the snack bar because it closed. I think the kids went down the slide a few times but certainly not enough to validate the extra money.

Yelp
Visited Old Town Hot Springs while on a work trip. Scheduled a 1.5 hour massage with Mindy. Came early to soak in the hot springs before my massage. The locker rooms were well outfitted and even had a swimsuit dryer (which was great since I was taking the free bus). The staff was welcoming and helpful. The pools were relaxing and not crowded at all on a Tuesday morning...so beautiful in the snow. My massage was such a treat! Probably one of the best, if not the best, I've ever had - Mindy was amazing! I would definitely return if I'm back in Steamboat.

Yelp
Updating my old review from 6 years ago. The hot springs cold pool will be under construction for quite some time but the vibe is still the same. The upgrades they have made is really great. More room to work out or attend a class and for the pools, they have added a cold plunge icebox. It is getting very pricey at $29 per adult though while the Strawberry Park Hot Springs are still an even $20. It almost seems they need to go back to splitting out the day rate. With the price you pay you can workout and go to the pool which would be worth it for this cost but not the entry fee alone for just an hour or two of swimming
google avatar

Yelp
The Indians used to bring their horses into these hot springs back in 1898. The main heart tub is too small and resembles hot tub. If you get here early, less people, but still about $60 for two people.

Pamela

Yelp
Amazing pools, gym and classes. Something for everyone. Especially enjoy the yoga classes

Yelp
We normally come to this place and have an okay, time; however, today we show up and the hot springs are over booked. Upon check in, no one mentioned that the pools were filled to capacity and you can't see how busy it is until you actually get your swimsuit on and walk out into the pool. We were in the pool for 5 minutes and we decided to get out and ask for a refund since we couldn't get into any of the upper pools. When we went to the front and asked for a refund (15-20 minutes after our original ticket purchase), we were told that this was not possible because it was not their policy. My husband calmly (but firmly) expressed his frustration and Amanda (front desk Guest Service Manager), decided that she needed to call the police! My husband did not yell or use any profanity! He was expressing his frustration in a calm, but firm manner! Watch out for this place. No refunds and crazy front desk who waste police resources on a minor confrontation that should've been able to be resolved peacefully. Cops arrived a few minutes later and told us that Amanda has called cops multiple times on guests in the past. Apparently, anyone who disagrees with her is an "aggressor".

Yelp
Came here to say for a ski trip and to get away from the city for the weekend. Stopped at the Old Town Hot Springs for a quick dip after a morning on the mountain and had a great experience! Lots of space in the pools and everyone was very respectful. The biggest impact was that I left my watch at the facility and we returned back home. I reached out and the service I got was fantastic. They mailed my watch back to me and had no issues with this whatsoever. It was really great to be able to get my item back and with no issues. Enjoyed our visit!

Yelp
Not worth the money unfortunately. We walked in after paying $30 per person + $5 per towel rental we immediately regretted it. Unfortunately, it is much smaller in person. On top of that, the slides and the lap pool were closed and the rock climbing wall closed at 1 due to a staffing shortage. Within 5 minutes of entering, I asked for a refund as we had just arrived and not used any of the facilities. I was told "No refunds". They could only offer tickets for the future when all amenities are open "next year" and the $5 towel rental refund. The refund was absolutely not an option so we tried to make the most of it and tried out the springs but unfortunately, I still feel it was not worth it for the price. I feel tricked and taken advantage of. Very disappointed that all we wanted was to get our money back and go on our way.

Yelp
We did a quick stop at this location on a Thursday night around 6pm. The Hot Spring was overcrowded because I am guessing it's super popular. They have a main pool area and then 2 or 3 large hot tubs. Went into the hot tub but there was no seating so we sat in the middle. Again super popular with rock climbing and water slides. We didn't have time for either. Maybe find a time when it's not crowded.

Yelp
If it weren't for the fact that I have a small child, I would not bother coming here. Day passes have increased by almost $10 per person from a few years ago, so I might still not ever come back. Our preschooler enjoys the hotel pools at the Sheraton and Steamboat Grand just as much as the faux hot springs at Old Town. At the time of this review, day passes at Old Town Hot Springs are at $27 for adults and $21 for kids ages 3 through 14. Our family ended up paying $75 for an hour of fun here today before lightning in the valley cut our stay short. Ouch! Stay away unless your kids are begging to come here. If you must walk into this trap, here are some tips. - Bring your own towel. $5 per towel if you forget. - Come early in the day during the summer. Otherwise, you'd have a hard time finding a lounge chair and/ or have your day cut short if there's rain. Day passes do allow holders to come and go as they please, but be realistic. If you have young children, good luck getting them to go back and forth. You've been warned.

Yelp
I am biased and spoiled by hot springs in Steamboat. We've always gone to the other one but with teens on our party a trip to the other after dark was not possible. This is a nice option for sure. Several pools that are heated and a few hot tubs that are fed from the springs. This is a fitness center with Hot Springs. So the gym for the locals with spin classes and weights. Since this is the case there are ample lockers for things, changing area's if you're wanting privacy. Showers to take off the residue and the greatest thing ever... A Bathing Suit Spinner. Yes I know.. The hot springs. They are great, lots of room, a climbing wall to jump off of and everyone is still clothed after dark but... This suit spinner is AMAZING!!!!! Stuff your wet bathing suit in and in about 8 seconds it's spun nearly dry! This is the greatest thing ever!!!!!! Oh yeah.. they have the trees lit up with twinkle lights so it can be really calming and possibly romantical after dark. We had the fortune to have snow falling while here so that made it really great for the first timers with me from the south.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this place. It is pricey, however this is an experience we can't get where we are from. The pools varied from hot to warm and all were very comfortable. There was a lot of space to spread out and the experience was really one of a kind. We spent four hours here (in the summer months) and found it to be absolutely worth the price. The fee to get in also allows you to come and go throughout the day and since it is open so long that is an excellent option. So happy we came.

Brenda S.

Yelp
They get no rating the people are as rude as they could be.There was not 1 place to get out the pools and relax. Not even being crowded the best mineral pool was filled up.Horrible vibe with the bald headed man.It took me 15minutes to get out there 10 minutes to dress so,I was in a pool for 35min.and no refund.I about to cry its, really sad it had to be like this I woukd have stayed longer but,no place to sit and relax but an old long bench which for being old was not comfortable for me.

Yelp
I'm not really sure what the hype is around this hot spring. It's great that there's a fitness center, a slide, and a pool, but it's not really authentic feeling. In fact, it's overly crowded and too mainstream. When I think hot springs, I think soothing nature and beautiful views. The only view you'll get here is of screaming kids. Thanks, but no thanks.

Yelp
This was a nice spot to sort of cool down on a hot summer day. The water was pretty warm, but did borderline too warm with the 85-90 degree weather. There is a larger cooler pool but it is 70-80 percent set up for lane swimming. There is also a kiddie wading pool that I didn't go in but seemed nice and clean. There's a grassy area with lounge chairs but you'll have to go early to get one. We arrived at around 11am on a Friday and got 4 of the last chairs. Not much shade within the pools, though hot tubs are a little more shaded. Water seemed mostly clean but by the time we left some stuff seemed to be floating around a little bit. We grabbed a smoothie from their juice bar, don't think they sell food. The smoothie was good but perhaps too healthy tasting if that's a thing...it was an expensive day at the pool but I think the kids mostly had fun. There are 2 waterslides--both are fully enclosed but one is "light" so it has light that can get thru the tunnel, the other one is darker plastic and doesn't let light through. My kids said they were fast slides, but that they were also a little rough in that where the pieces of tunnel connect together kind of hurt the bum on the way down.

Yelp
Having been to Steamboat Springs many times over the past few years, I couldn't believe that I had yet to experience Old Town Hot Springs. However, on my recent Steamboat Springs Staycation - I knew I had to change that! PRO: The pools are gorgeous! The layout is very well thought out. With each pool feeding into the next, bridges over the main pool, and gorgeous landscaping/foliage around - it def made a great atmosphere for soaking. CON: Leaves. While I love the changing of leaves in the fall several of the pools had an abundance of leaves. PRO: Kid-friendly areas, water slide, climbing wall, exercise facility, and several adult only pools. CON: Seeing that it is not only in the heart of Steamboat Springs, but also kid-friendly - it can get crowded! PRO: They offer massages in addition to the aquatic and exercise facilities! CON: Sadly I didn't partake in a massage during this visit. Boo! PRO: Your admission fee allows you to come and go as you please throughout the day! CON: None! Just make sure you sign in when you arrive in case your stamp washes off. Old Town Hot Springs was def a great choice for our group during our weekend getaway! While I aim to check out other hot springs in the area; this one was perfect for us. **Noteworthy: They are currently remodeling the exercise facility - so the already limited parking is even MORE limited, and the building is a wee bit disorganized. It's sure to be amazing when they're done; just pardon their mess in the mean time!

Yelp
Pools were fine, but I witnessed a lifeguard completely lose control of himself. It looked as though a woman approached him and for some reason he didn't like what she said and he aggressively approached her as if he was going to attack her. He didn't, but the woman remained calm as the lifeguard went into a complete fit of rage. He was cussing and yelling at her and it wasn't until several men intervened which caused him to leave her alone. He then started in with one of the men (yelling at him). Are these kid lifeguards trained to handle confrontation? Very sad to see an employee of this establishment treat anyone like this. He obviously needs to go to anger management training. I will never return!

Yelp
Loved it here!!! We have been coming to Steamboat every year and usually go to Strawberry Hot Springs. We had free time and decided to check out Old town Hot Springs. How awesome! Loved the fact that you could change and store your clothing in an actual locker room. Loved how clean the facility was, and really enjoyed the multiple pools! We will be coming back here each time we visit!

Yelp
this place has it all yup yup came here twice so far with my conservation crew and had a sweet time in the hot springs! also a climbing wall?! so sick. quite pricy but i didn't have to pay so whatevs

Yelp
It is great that the Old Town Hot Springs has something for the whole family. But it is very irritating that the young teenage boy are aloud to be disrespectful to other members using the weight room and the locker room. When I work out I like to stay focused and get through my workout with little interruptions to myself and to others working out around me. But these young teenage boy are all over the place, goofing off and being disruptive. Even in the locker room they are acting immature. The locker room is not that big, and they need to learn to respect other people. Get in, get dressed and get out. They don't need to hang in a group of 4-6 boys goofing around with each other. If these boys are under 18, where are the adults that should be there supervising them? Or where is a staff member monitoring the area to stop them goofing off and warm them or remove them from the area so others can work out in peace? It is expensive for a gym membership here, and I would think the management be more on top of situations like this.

Yelp
This particular Hot Springs is well maintained, and has options for kids and adults of all ages. There are adult only hot springs, a kids splash area, lap pool, water slides and lots of room to lay out. We took our 3 year old and 5 year old and spent half a day swimming around. My only critique would be that it was about $120 for the 4 of us to swim for a day pass. I find that to be a bit pricey for just swimming, especially as a tourist. We also ended up paying $30 for a couple kit kits, soda and a smoothie. Overall it's a great time if you don't mind spending the extra money but we opted to just swim in our hotel pool for the rest of the time.

Yelp
this was my first time visiting this hot springs but my 4th different hot springs that i have visited. when you enter the building, you will have to sign in for contact tracing. You are allowed 2 hours in the pool. They have a limited amount of people they can have in the pools right now due to covid. There were several smaller pools that kinda reminded me of hot tubs, i guess one of them is a true hot springs but that one was full the 2 hours i was there so i never actually got to go in there. The main pool was definitely warm. we were there on Saturday and it was pretty cool in the afternoon when we were there and for teh most part our group stayed warm. Unfortunately the cool slides are closed right now because of covid. The rock wall is open and the kids enjoyed climbing on that. It definitely has the feel of a swimming pool and hot tubs, but the remodeling with all the rocks make it look very nice and inviting. My favorite hot springs that i have been to still remains in glenwood. It is a little confusing which door you can go in and out of if you are not familiar with the location which we were not so you just have to wander until you find the signs. The locker room was very clean. The staff was friendly. We were happy with our experience and got out at exactly 2 hours after we got there.

Yelp
Yup...just checked. If i could give -3 stars I would. If you're looking for a skin and/or hair transplant with a side of slime, look no further than the Old town hot springs nestled in beautiful downtown steamboat. There's no other hot spring like this. Pretty sure there are more hair and skin cells floating than there are sardines stacked in these pools. Save yourself some money and go to Safeway to buy a can of sardines and some screaming kids cause that's all this place has to offer.
google avatar

Angelina M.

Yelp
Great place for a soak. Even better after a few days on the mountain at Steamboat. Family friendly. Looks remodeled, or in the process of it. Bring a towel (or pay a small deposit), sunglasses, a quarter for the lockers, and a swimsuit. I'm used to very rustic hot springs, this was almost like a resort. If I have a chance, I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
We went here on Saturday after getting turned away from Strawberry Hot Springs and I have to say, I was very impressed. They have a very clean locker room, nice staff, towels to rent and two slides. I'd recommend going here over Strawberry Hot Springs. They have a main pool and 3 hot tubs. A great place for a family outing or with friends!
google avatar

Leslie H.

Yelp
I hate to give this place a one star but want to give fair warning to people who go and have some sort of expectations for what it is. Quick TIP: For your time and money go to Strawberry Hot Springs if you don't have kids under 10. This place is basically a Luke warm series of less and less warm and boring pools. Okay, if you have kids under 10 and want to let them run amuck, great. But, this place feels like a community pool that wants vacationers to join them so they can make some extra cash. Strawberry has character, amazing scenery and a series of lobster hot pots to a near freezing river.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
A must do if you're visiting Steamboat Springs! The hot springs are clean and luxurious. Perfect for singles, couples or families!
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
This visit was very disappointing. The pictures on their website do not do justice to what it is really like. We rented a cabana and it was not with $60. Other people were using the cabanas and had not rented, so there was really no reason for us to rent. The hot springs were ok, but there were so many people for how small the pools are. Will not return.
google avatar

Rosa H.

Yelp
Awesome place to go! I took my 5 year old and we had a great time ($25 adult and $19 kid 2-13, kids under 2 free). The main pool was roughly about 98 degrees, the kiddie pool was about 88-90 degrees and there was a smaller pool that was slightly warmer, but my little one was able to tolerate it, which was about 101. They do have a kids section with a giant octopus and other activities, plus two huge slides, but we missed the opening of it (usually opens the weekend of Memorial Day). Towel rentals and swim rentals available. You can bring your own lunch (of course no glass). They do have snacks available. Very easy to be there for 3 hours. Highly recommend and will be going their again when we come back to visit.

Yelp
Pros: lifeguards so I can enjoy the adults only pool in peace, fireplace and super comfy sitting area, kind desk workers, good free lockers and family changing areas, extremely easy to get to, re-entry at any time that day Cons: not as relaxing as other hot springs, gawdy huge bulb lights on trees too bright at night, no star viewing, billions of small children, a high entrance price for what u get Tip: get high before you go at night. It will make the billions of children more tolerable and the gawdy Christmas bulbs a lot prettier.

Nautica B.

Yelp
ive came here twice and had a terrible experience both times. first time someone threw up in the pool and it was disgusting.. ik you cant avoid that but at least tell people before they get in that nastyness. second time someone pulled the fire alarm so they made us leave the warm pools in the cold and escorted us away from the building WITH NO SHOES ON IN THE SNOW!! and we werent allow to go in to get out stuff. finally they said we can come back in to no fire in sight... really?? cant you check if there actually is a fire before making us walk in the freezing cold into snow??? for a fake ass fire??? bullshit. will not be coming back.
google avatar

Serena F.

Yelp
Great place to take kids swimming with ideal pool temps. Clean and fun! They allow coolers inside so that made it easy to stay for the day. The 2 water slides require a separate charge for unlimited trips.
google avatar

Chandler E.

Yelp
Despite being a "gym" the policies put in place seem to be designed to discourage any sort of legitimate, intense workout. If you deadlift any sort of heavy weight the inherent noise of placing it back on the ground is considered "dropping the weights" and reprimand you for it. They also keep raising the membership rates while simultaneously claiming they're as cheap as they've ever been. Yet despite the price hikes when equipment becomes faulty they are not responsive to replacing equipment, as there are significantly bent barbells that despite being brought to their attention numerous times remain in circulation 3 months later.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
The hot springs / pools here are awesome. Variety of pools and temperatures. It looks great and is well maintained. The slides and kiddie pools are closed now - open seasonally. They even have lap pools that are open year round. Good changing facilities and a handy dryer/spinner to dry out swim suits. Bring your own towel - I believe they charge for rental. You might be able to get discounted tickets to be pool. I got a 60-minute massage from Leah. One of the best massages I've had, even compared to options in Denver. She had a great combination of Swedish, Shiatsu, and some Thai-like stretching. I wish I could have done 90+ minutes, but they were pretty booked up.
google avatar

Christopher K.

Yelp
Would've been maybe four stars until I cut myself on the rock wall and when I asked for a Band-Aid at the front desk, I was told "no Hablo ingles". I know Spanish so this was someone just saying "I don't want to talk to you". Basically they didn't care to help me when I was bleeding all over the place.
google avatar

Jenny Z.

Yelp
Re: Hot Spring only - The price was right for a soak, and it is easy to access via the free bus. The quality level reminded me of a YMCA more than a spa. There were a lot of children playing loudly in the pools. I was expecting a more serene, relaxing atmosphere than this. There is some construction right now (Jan) and so the grounds are not as attractive as the photos. The larger pool with the water slides was closed. Not sure why, but this is probably why the children were crowded into the other pools. There are several smaller pools, at different temps that you can try. The surrounding snow is pretty. You may rent a towel if needed. I suggest bringing your own water bottle and flip flops. The locker rooms have the very basics with showers. There are no hair dryers, lotions, etc like you often see at a spa. There is a bathing suit spinner that is very handy. Bring quarters for the lockers.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
I used to come here every time we'd come to Steamboat to ski many years ago. It was awesome. Unfortunately, those days are gone. With a huge water slide now it has turned into nothing short of kiddy land. Young children running everywhere screaming and yelling, teenagers climbing the waterfall and doing cannon balls into the pools, luke warm pools... (apparently HOT isn't part of the hot springs anymore), dirty and disgusting locker rooms and rude staff memebers have absolutely ruined this place. Gross... just plain gross. What a shame.

Chase E.

Yelp
Very well equipped gym and springs facilities. Staff are very kind and always helpful where they can be. Be prepared for old locals to be upset that your heart rate is able to and is exceeding 80BPM without passing out. The number of times I've been ridiculed by older members or passive aggressively told not to do an exercise in the gym is heinous. If you deadlift or exert yourself in any meaningful way in the gym, you will be told to be quiet by a washed up ex Olympian rehabbing the same knee they've been nursing for 20+ years. You may even be hassled by a younger person who's convinced they're gods gift to CrossFit or Spartan Race, if you're stopping them from doing their grueling sets of 6 with 50% of their max effort. With the exception of these few folk, over all a very nice place. Been coming here for years and will continue to do so

Yelp
Relaxing pools of heat, one mineral fed is smallest but most relaxing with only a faint mineral scent upon entering. The main pool has a covered slide into it from the third floor of the building and a small climbing wall to traverse, ring a bell and fall back in. Warmest is the smaller of the two non-mineral springs pools because it is the most jetted. An evening here is relaxing and while in the mist, the clear sky and moon shine romantic. The lifeguards are helpful and attentive which seems difficult when you cannot see a few feet in front of yourself while in the pools. The fireplace in the lobby is a welcome treat when running in from the pools in the cold Wintertime. The Springs are healing and well worth their inexpensive cost.
google avatar

Yelp
Wish I could evaluate the pools and facility separate, but can't. Pools: -I could be wrong, but I don't think these are actually hot springs. The water is hot, don't get me wrong, but there is no sulfur smell from any of the pools which is very odd as that is generally what you expect with a natural hot spring. Lots of places to soak with adult only spaces and kid friendly areas. Two massive water slides and a rock climbing wall in the pool which I thought was neat. From a lap perspective - those lanes are much colder but still tolerable even in winter months. I suspect that people using them in winter are not your casual swimmer. Facility - They are in the process of remodeling and let me tell you, they need it. The building is clearly old and the way that machines/weights/rooms are organized is very odd. Just when you think you see the whole space, there is another hidden room. About 5-6 treadmills that are decent quality but none seemed to have working treadmills. Good selection of free weights and machines and a handful of ellipticals, stairmasters and bikes. Overall, a decent spot - but $24 for a day pass seems very excessive. My hometown rec center charges $6.25 and is extremely similar in quality and available facilities outside of the "hotsprings".

Yelp
Absolutely rude life guards. These high school kids think they're really special with their flotation devices. Ask a simple question about pool temps and she dryly says, "I'm not a doctor." Someone's parents didn't raise her to have any courtesy, which is pathetic. Remember you're a LIFEGUARD and there's more to your "job" than just sitting around watching kids play in the water. Basic sense should be a job requirement. Ruined the entire experience for us at this city pool. The cost to get in plus the customer service make the whole place a dud.

Yelp
This our first visit to Old Town Hot Springs. I came for the afternoon with a girlfriend and her three kids to enjoy a day at the pool and use the Hot Spring. My initial impression from outside, I was excited about what I saw! The location is downtown and almost directly in front of the bus stop which makes it easy to take the Free bus and walk in pool shoes. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the facility. Walking in the front Lobby you immediately notice how 'unkept' old and in obvious need of maintenance and housekeeping. Let me focus on the most disappointing part of this day...the pricing! Let me start with a $2.50 towel rental this is tacky and should be included in the price of entrance your rental fee will get you a bath towel that is old and very used. Next you will pay an addition fee for use of the water slides only 2! Again, this should be included in the fee of the Springs. The last and most disappointing part was a $65 fee for a "Cabana" we initially were absolutely fine with this fee until we saw what the $65 got us. Let me just say Cabana does not come to mind when we walked to the second level where they are located. It is an old tent with a table. The worst part is everyone comes to the second floor to use the many tables and crowded beach chairs so you do not even get privacy or any amount of quiet for this fee! Also, many of the tents were being used with the rope still across the tent with kids and adults that did not reserve and pay the $65 fee. Basically, we put the money in the trash to sit in a noisy area that included a tent that looked like it was from 1970's. Do not waste your money!!! The bathrooms down stairs were closed for maintenance and the only available restrooms were in the gym upstairs. The gym was also in need of an update and ventilation! The smell was unbelievable and musty to the point of nausea! Overall, there are so many beautiful and amazing activities that Steamboat offers and this place is one I would skip! The pricing does not represent what is offered, they nickel and dime you for the use of towels and additional fee for two water slides is poor taste and the bathrooms, lobby and pool area needed updating and were not well maintained! The only reason for two stars and not one is the front end lobby staff were very nice and the actual location. My recommendation- I wouldn't waste your time or money!

Yelp
Perfect day for our family. Rock climbing with no belay, because you fall in the pool. Splash park for little ones. Lanes for racing and distance. Water slides for 45" and up (or with passed swim test). Playground equipment. Snack bar. Adults only soaking and jacuzzi-style pools. Ginormous kid pool (2'). Fitness club. Lockers for rent. Grass to lay on under the trees. Come and go passes. Like I said ... Perfect day.

Yelp
Came to Old Town at around 830/9 so we definitely avoided the bulk of the crowds, which I recommend. It's really not kids that can ruin a good time, it's more their inattentive parents. You catch my drift. Front desk guy was super nice and made sure we knew where to go and talked us through the facility. Locker room was clean. Loved the adult only pool and the hot tubs with jets are very therapeutic. The grounds are beautiful.

Yelp
Got kids? Waterslides! Got sore muscles? Hit up the newly remodeled hot mineral pools. More on the pools, there are a lot to choose from...kiddie pools, lap lanes, mini waterfalls to sit under, it's all here. Swimming need not be the only reason to stop by, there's also a full fitness center with exercise classes and plenty of equipment as well. A great place to go, whether in snow or sun!
