10 Best Things to Do in Prague

"Back in the 1970s, every British student worth their salt would have a poster by Czech graphic artist Alfons Mucha on their wall, swirling romantic illustrations that encapsulated the Art Nouveau period. Very bohemian, you might say. Head to the Kunsthalle Praha, which opened in 2022 in a former electric station in the centre of Prague, and it’s worth visiting for its café terrace alone, which has brilliant views over Petrin Hill and Prague Castle. Kunsthalle isn’t the only modern-art cat in town: Trafo Gallery is set in a former slaughterhouse, while Kampa Museum, founded in 2003 by Meda Mladeks, occupies a series of 14th-century mills on the River Vltava and contains a wonderful collection of mainly Czech artists, including abstract pioneer Frantisek Kupka." - Rick Jordan

Old town Prague has it all. Amazingly busy by midday and through to late in the night. But people move and chatter amongst themselves. Plenty of spaces to enjoy good food and watch the world go by for a while.

Prague's Old Town Square is a vibrant heart of the city, brimming with history, architectural delights, and lively energy. Here's a breakdown of what makes it a must-visit: * Architectural Gems: The square boasts iconic landmarks like the astronomical clock on the Old Town Hall, the Gothic Tyn Church, and the baroque St. Nicholas Church, offering a stunning display of architectural styles. * Historical Significance: Steeped in history, the square has witnessed pivotal events and served as a marketplace for centuries. Soak up the atmosphere and imagine its rich past. * Lively Ambiance: Bustling with street performers, artists, and vendors, the square pulsates with life. Enjoy the traditional Czech marionette shows, or grab a souvenir while admiring the vibrant scene. * A Foodie's Paradise: Numerous cafes, restaurants, and outdoor terraces line the square, serving everything from local Czech fare to international cuisine. Take a break and people-watch while indulging in a delicious meal. Tips: The astronomical clock's hourly show from 9am till it last at 11pm is a popular attraction, so expect crowds. Be wary of overpriced tourist trinkets and overpriced restaurants around the square. Explore the side streets for a more authentic experience.

The town square is aesthetically pleasing. It is advisable to visit during the spring or autumn seasons to avoid large crowds. I spent four days there, which was insufficient time to fully experience all that the city has to offer. 😄 The city is exceptionally beautiful! 😍

Prague old town is an enchanting place. Thounsands of tourists visit this place every hour to watch the Astronomical clock. So it's a bit difficult to click a photo without others in it during the day time. However, its quiet at night. Anyone can easily spend hours here soaking in the vibes and the history. Definitely worth a visit. Recommendation: staying near the Old town square to enjoy this place more.

Great place to walk around, but give yourself a couple of days to appreciate all the area has to offer. You can catch the Hop on Hop off bus from there. Skip the boat tour, just take a walk along the water front in the evening. If you're going with family, try to be there on weekdays, found out the city is quite the party central on the weekend.

The old town is very nice. Brilliant buildings. There are lots of places to eat and drink in the square and the surrounding streets. Had a meal in one of the restaurants in the square it was very nice. The meal was only a main and a beer each for two and it was about £50. A lot was tax. There is also street food in the square.

Absolutely amazing. Seems just Disney land. The clock and the classic buildings are awe inspiring however many times you visit here. My favourite place in Europe.
