Old Vienna Restaurant

First went there 30 years ago. Excellent food Scallops, lobster raviolo and Sea bass as our main dishes. Desserts looked great but no room. Good wine selection . Julie , maitre'd great character.

What an amazing restaurant! Werner and his team are fantastic, he is bursting with personality and seriously knows how to cook! A great seasonal menu, lots to choose from but the menu isn't overwhelmingly huge, which is great. Everything was seasoned perfectly, no extra salt or pepper needed! The place is small and a little dated, but it feels like a special place and is homely. Next time I'm Torquay, I'll certainly be back!

I can't fault this place at all. Old Vienna has been on this road for the last 40+ years and it shows why. The food is perfect, the service is perfect, and the owner is a fantastic guy with such good energy. Werner clearly cares about his business, perfecting his menu and being so attentive to his customers, even coming out of the kitchen to ask how the evening is going. Will definitely be returning on my next visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A brilliant restaurant with fantastic menu. We had the Scallops, Lobster Ravioli for starters, Duck breast, Beef Fillet for mains, apricot dumpling and pancake filled cherries for desserts. The staff were very friendly and the owner made time to talk to every table. A great fine dining experience.

A very highly rated place and for good reason judging by our visit. We were fortunate to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary here. If it hadn't had fell on a midweek day then I feel we wouldn't have got in. It's an unpretentious dining room and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The menu is a bit limited and any fussy eater like me may want to phone ahead to check what's on offer. We had fillet steaks and they were excellent, together with a nice selection of vegetables. Note these are included in the price and they can do a bit of "mix and match" across the menu. The desserts were simply sublime. Despite its popularity and reputation we thought the prices are very competitive even compared to lesser establishments. It's a small bar but we were happy. The service from our friendly and attentive waitress was exemplary.

Absolutely phenomenal. The food was divine, the service warm, welcoming and relaxing. The atmosphere was homely and quiet. It felt like I’d been invited in to the home of a private chef. I can’t wait to return. Thank you so much.

Had a wonderful meal here while on holiday. We wanted something special for our Wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The food was wonderful and there was a lovely atmosphere. The chef comes out to chat with everyone at the end of the evening and we really enjoyed our evening.

Managed to get in on a busy Friday night. Food was amazing. Locally picked Cèpes, gently breadcrumbed and served with a subtle garlic sauce. Side of Salmon with a hint of smoke, with veg. Veal schnitzel. Tender and soft. Plus house pudding! Great staff. Wonderful service. Delicious food. Great ambiance! Thank you!!
