Oldtown Hostel Otter

There is certainly no shortage of hotels or places to stay in Zurich. It is a bery popular destination to visit. The location was pretty perfect! Central to nearly everything. It was walkable to Old Town, the lake, and many of the main visiting sites. Check-in was easy, and it was very nice that they had daily breakfast (cereal / bread / jam / tea / coffee) for us in the mornings. The lockers were large and gave plenty of space for your belongings with good security. Rooms did tend to get a bit hot in the summer, but the fans in the room helped a bit. Highly recommend for a good value stay in the city.

amazing hostel! reception was very nice and it was such a great location. about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station, but there are trams that will help. location was amazing, it was right in the middle of the old town and i was able to just walk around and sightsee very easily!

There was a refrigerator in the room which was nice. They also had a kitchen and free simple breakfast. Reception was really helpful in recommending places to go and they also had a booklet which was very helpful. The beds had curtains but were not very comfortable, the only thing that can be improved.

Convenient location. Close to several popular food vendors. Well managed in general. Bath rooms are clean. Lockers are provided for free. Bed room has no street noise, but some noise from people going up and down stairs. One of two showers on third floor has cold water and small amount of water. The towels are genuine sand paper. My mattress sags. The bedroom was filled with body odor.

Clean, nice, central location. Great vibe inside. One of the most affordable places to stay in Zurich, but it’s still super pleasant. The VIEW!! Amazing!! They provide free towels and soap. High speed wifi. Fans but no ac in my room. Super walkable area. They have a bar downstairs where guests get a discount on before 10p.

Best location, very close to a lot of main attractions. Make sure to reserve directly hotel's website (a bit cheaper). The design could have been more simple if they just pick one or two colors for the walls instead of ugly drawings. Some cereals, bread, jams and coffee/tea is nice to have, thanks! They should start to charge people who leave their dirty dishes in the kitchen :)

We had a short stay but it was great for the short time we had there. Very cosy atmosphere and the hostel had just that great “hostel feel”. Service was excellent in every way possible. Rooms required windows to be cracked open due to the heat, but that is to be expected. One thing to note is that there’s one toilet and two showers per floor.

Beds are clean but not comfy for a tall fella. Excellent value for money in a really lovely part of town.
