I usually choose Ole Sereni before outbound flights because of its convenient location, clean rooms, and normally reliable service. Unfortunately, my stay on December 18 did not meet the standard I expect. I checked in around 8:00 PM under the name Wairimu, paid the full rate, and clearly requested a quiet room due to a long day and an early Turkish Airlines flight. The room allocated was noisy, with loud children and adults in the adjacent room, making proper rest impossible. Dinner service was equally disappointing. Two club sandwiches took nearly an hour to arrive and only after we asked the bartender to follow up. The food arrived cold and was not finished. Positives included the pleasant outdoor ambience, a kind and empathetic checkout attendant, and John (surname unknown), who was welcoming and helpful with my luggage. A takeaway coffee was offered at checkout but not received. This feedback is shared because Ole Sereni has consistently been my preferred choice, and this experience felt like a noticeable lapse. I also suggest simplifying the food menu it is word-heavy with no images, which makes ordering difficult for tired travelers. I hope future stays reflect the quality Ole Sereni is known for.

Ole Sereni – A True Urban Healing Sanctuary We spent our Christmas at Ole Sereni, and as a wellness travel curator, I can confidently say this property genuinely qualifies as a healing space. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt intentional. The water features at the dining areas were deeply therapeutic, watching birds fly in to swim, drink, and share breakfast with us was grounding in the most natural way. It was one of those rare moments where nature and hospitality coexist effortlessly. The interiors are a solid 10/10..international, refined, and emotionally warm. The hallways are beautifully styled, thoughtfully scented, and carry a calm that quite literally hugs you as you move through the space. This was the kind of sensory fulfilment we needed to close the year. The rooms were exceptional: well-ventilated, delicately scented, immaculately clean (and I mean very clean), and perfectly lit. Waking up to uninterrupted views of Nairobi National Park was magical, the sunrises from the bed were breathtaking. Meals were consistently excellent, and the customer care was outstanding. From the gate to parking, restaurants, security, housekeeping, every single team member embodied warmth and kindness. It was easily one of the warmest stays we’ve ever experienced. Now, the highlight: the spa. Duma Spa was heaven on earth. My aromatherapy massage by Fatma was profoundly restorative, the kind of treatment that recalibrates your entire nervous system. The aroma blends, the lighting, the silence, the room temperature, the pacing, everything was perfectly curated for deep relaxation and emotional release. Ole Sereni now tops my list of wellness retreat destinations within the city. It is rare to find an urban hotel that so intentionally supports rest, sensory balance, and emotional wellbeing. I will absolutely be recommending this space for wellness-focused stays, resets, and curated retreats.

I would not call this a luxury hotel. Beds are creaky. Bathroom needs renovation. I requested for an early check in, had to pay usd 50, which was fine with me. But the room aircon was faulty and I thought I was unable to set it. They had to send some guys to fix it but really I just wanted a better room. I got another room eventually. But it's so noisy! I travelled with my child and we had a long night and just needed some rest in the morning. Added to the aircon issue was non stop noise from nearby rooms. Doors slamming, kids running, people talking loudly. I would not consider this a soundproof room because really it disturbed our sleep and I got no rest at all. Someone actually kept ringing our doorbell too. I mentioned this to the Receptionist, all she said is she will look into it and never bothered. So honestly, I think Ole Sereni can do better for the name that it is supposed to live up to. Breakfast options were ok. Concierge was great. Very helpful

Great access to the airport and a nice welcome to Kenya. Stayed one night here after our international flight. Great views of the National Park and even saw zebras from our room. The steakhouse was super delicious and has great terrace seating. The hotel helped us arrange a driver to take us to the Giraffe center and he made some additional nice stops as well. Great start to the trip and would stay again!

We were given this hotel by KQ due to a flight cancellation. Deeply frustrated we made it here and the ambiance and atmosphere was welcoming and just what you’d need after a highly stressful flight. The location is great, the food is amazing & the staff are extremely friendly.

Its a tricky place to access using public transport. You'll alight at airtel headquarters and need to walk along the bypass to get to the hotel. Its quite easy to spot and once there, the security personnel will offer directions courteously. It is around south C. Has ample parking for those using private transport means. Adequate and flexible space for a conference with support on tech and electricity supply. Tea and lunch served was a beautiful variety with consideration given to vegan , lactose intolerance and gluten intolerant individuals.

This was our lodging for the night after arriving at the Kenya airport at 1am from Istanbul. ATMOSPHERE: The 3 story hotel has 134 rooms, and is about 15 minutes from the airport. The entry is modern with dark & contrasting colors with a deli style restaurant and gift shop, registration, and Big Five Restaurant is off to the side. CHECK IN: Our pre-booked room thru Abercrombie & Kent wasn't ready at 2am, because it wasn't cleaned (we met the housekeeping staff in the hallway near our room.) We had to wait about 25 minutes. Needless to say, our A&K rep wasn't happy and let the front desk clerk know that we should receive an apology. He just replied that the manager was coming. When the manager came, she just handed the room keys to us, no apology either. Only the bellhop said "Sorry for the wait." ROOM: Number 220 looks very modern and was clean. There were two twin beds which were super firm but comfortable, wonderful pillows, and all the usual amenities. There's a sitting room with big windows that overlook the national park next door. BATHROOM: The toilet & shower tub is in a separate room from the basin. The normal amenities are available. Oddly we had only 1 wash cloth and 1 soap bar, possibly due to the last minute cleaning & prep. WIFI: Free! Yay! F&B: The Big Five Restaurant on level 1 is open 24/7 with a full bar and limited menu of French fries and pizza (which was really good!) We had Tusker beer which was pretty light. Indoor & outdoor seating. The bar area was dirty, some mugs were dirty and some plates had food remnants stuck on. They have a very nice breakfast buffet with worldly cuisine. CHECK OUT: We settled our F&B bill and was on our way. SERVICE: Everyone was friendly but seem not too polished in the customer service department, except for our bellboy. OVERALL: Decent place to stay at that's near the Kenyatta airport.
