We were there to celebrate a birthday. The tomato toast was alright, the bread was too dry and theres not enough tomato sauce to spread over all the slices so it was a letdown. The shrimp with garlic was average, flavourful but doesnt taste fresh. It was also overpriced as the portion was small. The paella however was the worst. It tastes quite bland and the scorched rice at the bottom was so burnt that it smelled awful and we didnt finish it(though we were reassured by the staff members that it was the best part). But the atmosphere and the live music was great.

A piece of old-world Spain in the heart of Hong Kong—complete with yellow walls, terracotta tiles, authentic dishes, and gentle guitar serenades, Olé Spanish Restaurant delivers beautifully. it’s a deeply flavor driven experience rooted in traditional Spanish cooking, executed with elegance and heart. Just be sure to book early and manage expectations on budget and pacing during busier times!

Ole, a beloved Spanish restaurant in Central, has been a culinary landmark since 1998 and a passionate tribute to authentic Spanish cuisine. Adorned with lemon yellow walls, glazed terracotta tiles, and decorative pottery imported from Spain, the interior transports diners to the Mediterranean. With its vibrant atmosphere, live guitar music, and meticulously crafted dishes, Ole offers an immersive journey into Spain's gastronomic traditions. - 𝚆𝚎𝚕𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚃𝚊𝚙𝚊𝚜 - The tapas set the tone beautifully - house marinated olives, crisp Ali oli potatoes, and charred Padron peppers accompanied by artisan bread create a delightful introduction to Spanish flavors. - 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚜 - 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙄𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙢 𝙬/ 𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 (7/10) It epitomizes classic tapas. The ham had rich nutty essence perfectly balanced by the bright tangy tomato bread, creating an interplay of savoury and acidic notes. 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙯𝙯𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙨 (7.5/10) It arrives dramatically, oil still boiling hot with aromatic garlic that tantalizes the senses. 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙗 “𝙏𝙭𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙤” (7.5/10) It exemplified coastal Spanish cuisine - delicately extracted, sweet, and generously portioned. Its flavor paired perfectly with crusty bread, offering a sublime textural experience that celebrated the ingredient's natural essence. 𝙎𝙖𝙪𝙩é𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤 𝙬/ 𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙘 & 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 (6.5/10) It delivered a savory, robust flavor that displayed the kitchen's expertise. Perfect complement to bread. - 𝙼𝚊𝚒𝚗 - 𝙇𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 (6/10) It revealed a complex narrative. The seafood was impeccably prepared - the lobster was tender and not a moment overcooked. However, the dish was slightly hindered by an overpowering saltiness that obscured the rice's delicate flavors and marine nuances. - 𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚝- 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙬/ 𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙗é (7.5/10) The dessert, flambéed tableside with orange liquer, boasted a silky-smooth texture. Its creamy richness was completed by bright citrus notes and caramelised sugar crust. 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙙 & 𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙬/ 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙬𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 (7/10) It struck a delicate balance - sophisticated yet not overly sweet. Date of visit: November 2024

We came a couple from Spain and we can assure that this is a true Spanish restaurant. Impeccable service and awesome food. To Highlight "Txangurro", "croquetas" and as could not be otherwise "jamón". 100% recommendable!

Lunch sets are available, love their cold vegetable soup and salad, very refreshing. Mains are okay, seafood on paella is a bit overcooked. Very accommodating staff, seatings are a bit tight but in general a pretty good experience.

This Hong Kong Spanish restaurant is truly the best in town. One of my favorite dining spots. Each dish suits my palate perfectly, with rich flavors that never feel overwhelming. The service is also a perfect , the staff are so friendly and attentive. The ambience is lovely too, with the restaurant offering two distinct seating areas. The table by the door feels quite different from the interior, both in terms of lighting and atmosphere. And they even have live music performances. The $498 weekend brunch menu seems to change with the seasons, and the dishes I had were from the winter menu in March, so it may have changed by now. Standout items included the octopus, spider crab toast, garlic prawns, seafood paella, and almond cake with ice cream.

The octopus was incredibly delicious and fresh, the atmosphere was very lovely and there was a high-level acoustic guitar singing performance. It was a wonderfully pleasant evening.

I came for a weekend lunch and had a perfect experience. Was recommended by a friend to come try, saying the food is delicious. And they were right, but also the place and service is top too. The restaurant has a rustic vibe that keeps the experience low-key, like dining at friends home, ie comfortable. Will definitely be back to try again. The price is a little high, recommended for a birthday or some celebration, for small to medium groups. For food, try the octopus main dish, is well cooked and tasty!

Yelp
Delicious Spanish tapas in Hong Kong. Musics and cozy atmosphere. The portions are small, so order extra if you're planning on enjoying the tapas as your meal. This is better than just ordering just one main entree.

Yelp
I came here during restaurant week and for $398 each,we (three people) got the set menu which had the following: 1. Olives 2. Fish croquettes 2. Potatos with aioli 4. Jamon with bread 5. Squid ink paella 6. Suckling pig 7. Shrimp in garlic oil 8. peppers 9. Sausages 10. Fried milk 11. Pineapple tart The place is pretty hidden and decor looked like a Spanish house but food was just alright. Had better Spanish food in Hk. The only dish that stood out was the jamon with bread. We got a jar of sangria for $300 and it literally had three half glasses. It came with so much ice that I may have been better off getting three separate glass for half the price.

Yelp
All time favourite Spanish restaurant in Hong Kong. It got all the ingredient needed for a traditional Spanish restaurant - authentic food, Spanish singers, lovely orange / white decor and heart warming services. It got a wide variety of Jamon here. The tapas are delicious and the main dishes are lovely. Since all the dishes are so good and I'm always so happy leaving the restaurant (maybe the atmosphere in there), I can vaguely recall the dishes but just feel very fulfilled and satisfied every time....(sorry for not being able to give a precise review for this but you will never get disappointed here)

Yelp
Without a doubt, ole is my favourite place to eat in Hong Kong when it comes to special occasions. The atmosphere is fantastic - there's always a band playing acoustic songs on the guitar, and they're willing to play 99% of the songs you suggest, old or new. The owner also loves to join in and sing occasionally, as do some of the diners. Overall, there's a great family vibe to this place. The food is expensive, but that's to be expected. If you ever come here, the seafood paella is a must, although you should probably split it between two people. Also make sure to try out as many starters/tapas as possible, some of my personal favourites include the white asparagus, cuttlefish, and garlic prawns.
