We stayed at the Hotel Olea for three nights. Beds are very comfortable and the staff was lovely. My few suggestions for raising the bar would be that the remote controls for the rooms heating and the heated bathroom floors are next to impossible to operate and thereby needed to ask for help - if the remotes were simplified and easy to operate that would be great. Secondly, while there is a coffee thing in the room, it would be most appreciated to have coffee in the central area of the hotel offered at least at seven am. The coffee and crumpets don't come out until 8 which was a bit late for east coasters. Lastly by the start of the weekend a lovely offering of breakfast items were offered and were great - I wish it were available on weekdays but seems only on weekends. |The staff on all fronts were delightful and lovely and made every effort to make our stay very pleasant.

What a lovely find. As we were going to Sonoma for a double Birthday celebration, we did not want to stay in a cookie cutter hotel so we found Olea. It is a collection of cottages, guestrooms and a lovely spa and pool area. Certainly not cookie cutter! We had an upper King and the room was spotless, open and airy. Wonderful beds and hot shower! They offer a delicious breakfast daily and we enjoyed the coffee and selection. Plus the staff is marvelous, attentive and good hearted. The location was perfect to everything we wanted to do.|The con here for us was a malfunctioning AC unit and as the weather was exceptionally hot, it became unbearable. Elisabet moved us to a cottage for the last night and the owner offered to credit back some of our costs.. All appreciated.|The stay was enjoyable and while we would like to keep them a secret, in order to secure another wonderful stay..we simply cannot :)

We absolutely loved our stay at Olea Hotel in Glen Ellen. The staff was so accommodating and thoughtful, and the room had every little touch that made it feel special. It’s the perfect spot for a couples getaway — peaceful, stylish, and so relaxing. We can’t wait to come back!

Great hotel with amazing amenities. Hung out by the pool all afternoon, and enjoyed the free wine. In the morning, ate the complimentary breakfast with a mimosa! Awesome service, and beautiful property. Super clean room too. Seems to be a lot of couples staying there, and the hotel is very quiet- for those looking for that type of getaway. We stayed there over the holiday weekend, and although they said it was fully booked, it felt like we had the place to ourselves pretty much! ||Only thing I'd note is - we went to the Glen Ellen Star for dinner and walked there. The walk back was scary at night.. cars going really fast with no sidewalk and no street lights. But it's only a 5 min walk (0.3miles).

Whenever we plan weekend getaways to the Napa Valley area we stay at Olea. It’s quiet, exquisitely appointed, and welcoming. It has two charging stations - one of each type - which is nice. We’ve stayed in every type of room/cottage, and you cannot go wrong. They are fresh, offer quality amenities, have comfy beds and linens and I love the touch of shutters on the windows instead of shades. ||Food: muah! Incredible. They have recently shifted their menu from full breakfasts but what they offer is plentiful and delicious.||Because Olea is off the main drag of wineries it has an elegant retreat feel: the setting is natural, the view of the mountains is gorgeous, the rooms are quiet, and it doesn’t feel at all like a typical hotel. ||But you know what it’s close to? The Glen Ellen Star!! A causal-vibed Michelin star restaurant that is amazing. It’s right down the street and worth a stay at Olea just for that.

This is truly an exceptional hotel that is positively different from big, cooperative run hotels in Napa country. My husband and I came here for our 10 years wedding anniversary to enjoy serene and romantic weekend and our choice to stay here really made our experience unforgettable. We were welcomed with welcoming reception staff and complementary wines with snacks. We loved the hot jacuzzi which was empty, the pool is pretty cold but might be good in summer. The complementary breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and so amazingly delicious. My husband had veggie croissant and I had ham and cheese quiche. On top of that; they had pastries that tasted like they made at the site. I am usually not a big fan of French bakes but I ended up getting two croissants . We will definitely come back again !

Google
Olea Hotel is a very peaceful low-key spot near “downtown” Glen Ellen. Very friendly staff, lots of amenities: pool & hot tub, nice breakfast, welcome wine, super-comfy beds and nice outdoor spaces offering both shade & sun. Rooms are attractive with fireplace and big tv.

Google
I want to start by saying the staff at Olea are truly wonderful. The women at the front desk were incredibly welcoming, kind, and clearly work hard to create a positive guest experience. They are the highlight of the property. Unfortunately, I can’t give this stay more than two stars because of the gap between what we paid and what we received. We spent over $550 for a single night in a king room, plus an additional $120 to bring our dog (a fee that more than doubled between when we booked and our stay). That’s luxury pricing — but the experience didn't reflect it. The room did not have a king-size bed as advertised. The sheets felt low quality, and the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a flimsy barn door that didn’t fully close — meaning zero privacy. The tub and shower were outdated and worn. One of the robes in our room was stained around the collar. The “free” breakfast, which is often a highlight at smaller inns, was only available for a narrow two-hour window — and we missed it. Even more frustrating, the breakfast is heavily advertised as a weekend highlight, but the actual serving window wasn’t mentioned when we booked. We were in town for the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon, a major local event, and a luxury hotel would have anticipated this — offering extended hours or early morning coffee and light bites for guests with early obligations. Even a simple room service coffee option would’ve made a difference. That kind of thoughtful detail is what separates a true luxury experience from a standard one. None of this would be a dealbreaker if the hotel were priced like a typical three-star property. But Olea is charging luxury rates, and the experience just doesn’t match. It felt more like a dressed-up Best Western — with standout staff, yes — but not the $550+ experience we were led to expect.

Yelp
Quite a special place near everything. The cottage we rented was romantic. I wish we had more time to enjoy

Yelp
Our one night stay at the Olea Hotel in Glen Ellen was outstanding! Catherine was a gracious and generous host - accommodating all our requests (and more!) when we decided to take a last minute trip from San Francisco to Sonoma for some much needed R&R. Our (upgraded) King Hillside room - #16 - was gorgeous, with a fireplace, balcony, vaulted ceilings, and luxury bathroom with heated floors. We delighted in the snacks provided and the lovely view of the hills. My husband and I also indulged in two spa treatments - the Swedish massage for him and the Cocoa Butter body scrub and wrap for me. My husband said the massage was one of the best he'd ever had; and my scrub, massage, and wrap was decadent and provided by Catherine - an expert masseuse. We also enjoyed the hot tub for a night time soak, and the song of the frogs in the surrounding hillsides was a beautiful and soothing accompaniment. The grounds are lovely, with lots of tucked away spots to sit and enjoy the ambiance. I really can't say enough about how perfect our time at the Olea Hotel was - we will surely be back and tell our friends!

Yelp
This is a cute little boutique hotel. Went with a friend for a girls Sonoma weekend in December. We got a 2 queen suite (these are only available on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator). There's no spa but there is a massage room. We got deep tissue massages by Peter and they were amazing. I was able to use their cyber Monday discount. The complimentary 2 course breakfasts were amazing. The service was great, all staff was very personable, professional, and kind! There are also super comfy robes in the closet, plus free snacks and a Brita water pitcher! This is how it should be done! The vibe is super cute small town hotel in a Hallmark movie. I would like to go back again. This is perfect for a quiet weekend away. I would recommend this place to a friend. It's a little on the pricey side but so worth it! Only qualms are I wish they had deeper cleaned the room (it was pretty clean, but I'm a little particular), and that there was more bathroom counter space.

Yelp
What a wonderful location and boutique hotel. We spent two nights recently at Olea. Our room was clean, the bedding was great, the fireplace was good to have on cool evenings, snacks in the room are a nice touch. The main desk staff was friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations in the area. After we left our consensus was we should have spent another day at Olea. Next time to the Sonoma area we know where we will be spending our nights. The breakfast tasted great everyday, the wine and pastries in the afternoon was a nice wind down after a full day. Only downer was the pool was out of commission for repairs.

Yelp
My sisters and our good friend stayed at Olea for our 50th birthday, as a less expensive alternative to Sonoma Mission Inn. But Olea stands out on its own!! It's small boutique hotel environment nestled in a hillside amongst oak trees shines as a warm inviting getaway. After check in and before dinner we soaked in the hot tub and met other guests who were so friendly. It was all wonderful but the best part was the gourmet breakfast (easily the best breakfast I can remember-- innovative combinations of cuisines) and chai tea, which was included in the room charge, as well as lovely and friendly Katherine who sat at the desk. We admired each other's style and we could not have had a warmer host :). Thank you Olea for making our 50th birthday a wonderful memory :)

Yelp
Lovely location on a hillside with spacious, comfortably appointed rooms. Grounds beautifully maintained including a lovely pool and hot tub. Extra touches, such as a complimentary glass of wine available evenings in the lobby and a freshly made, delicious breakfast served in the mornings. Appreciated the welcoming, kind staff and highly recommend the massage treatments. What a gem of a place for a visit.

Yelp
We stayed here for 1 night while visiting the Sonoma area and had a peaceful and restful experience. We had Room 5 on the 2nd floor, king bed with fireplace. Enjoyed the outside fireplace area to relax and be with nature. The pool was heated and the jacuzzi was hot, perfect for our retreat. They have some wine and snacks available in the lobby when we arrived so we helped ourselves to a glass, and spiced curry nuts. Bed was comfortable. Not many options to eat dinner around here so we opted for UberEats to deliver from Napa. You can choose any outside table to eat your meal and the staff here will clean up after you are done. Breakfast is made hot in the morning using a set menu, choose one salty & one sweet item per person. Kids can order whatever they want if they don't want anything on the menu. This is included in our room rate. $25 per extra person that stays over night beyond the 2 person limit, this this covers breakfast for them. We parked in the shade under the carport, they also have electric charging stations right on site.

Yelp
I don't usually leave reviews, in fact I made an account to write this because staff was so adamant on getting a review. We have been coming to this hotel for many years for our romantic getaways, unfortunately this will be the last. breakfast. All I can say is wow. the previous chef had always accommodated us with a full 2 course healthy breakfast and if we did not want it, she would make us something else of our own choosing! she was fantastic! this time around, what we got is what we got, and it wasn't great. We went out to eat afterwards. I'm paying a lot to stay here and one of the biggest selling points was that I would get this perfectly curated breakfast experience from a talented chef included in the cost of my stay. then I noticed what happened to all the little lobby snacks made by staff? They used to offer us many snacks in the lobby through out the day. Housekeeping used to put cute little ducks in the toilet paper, leave new snacks and water daily in rooms, no filtered water in rooms at all anymore. I had to ask for my own room to be refreshed which was not like before. All the little things we used to love about this place seem to be gone. And replaced with cheap counterparts. sad experience really. I used to recommend this hotel to everyone I knew, I will not be doing that anymore.

Yelp
This hotel is under new ownership and they refuse to honor a room credit I had on my account, which was issued by the prior owner. All of the customer-facing parts of the business are the same (the hotel name, website, online reviews, etc.) as last October when I initially booked a room, but despite running the exact same business they don't have to honor room credits? This seems like it shouldn't be legal. At the very least it's poor customer service. Not only are they not honoring the room credit, but follow-up is non-existent. I called three times to ask if they had made a decision about honoring the room credit and each time they said they were still looking into it and would call me back. I'm yet to receive a call back. This all happened over the course of a month, so they had plenty of time to remedy the situation or at least call me back. I'm disappointed to have to leave this review as the hotel seems great, but the majority of the glowing reviews reflect the customer experience offered by the prior owner. I live locally and am bummed not to stay here in the future and cannot recommend it to family and friends, given the runaround they put me through for a one-night stay that I've already paid for (I have receipts for the payment and the cancellation made by the hotel).

Yelp
In times of COVID-19, a mini getaway goes a long way. Olea hotel not only met my criteria (pet friendly, soaking tub, convenient location), I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by the details of our stay. Complimentary breakfast was by far the most memorable. Their house chef is masterful with the menu; definitely flavors we've never considered or had for breakfast! The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a nice patio where we ate all of our meals. They also included pet food and water bowls, a cute bed, and tons of milk bones for our pooch. Water pressure is powerful and the soaking tub helped to relieve my tense muscles. (Didn't get to use the pool but it's heated all year round!) Top it off with complementary wine (until 8pm!) and a fire pit. It was just what we needed as a quick break and escape. Thank you for the incredibly relaxing and comfortable stay, Olea Hotel!

Yelp
This hotel offered so many personal touches including snacks, filtered water, robes, and daily breakfast (changed every day). We opted for one of the cottages during our stay as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The two-sided fireplace was nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The linens were so cozy and the heated bathroom floors were an absolute plus. We recommend this place for a nice, secluded couples getaway. We appreciate the staff taking good care of us during our stay.

Yelp
Charming, private with super welcoming staff and lots of small details that add to charm. We cut our day touring short so we could relax by the pool. Comfortable lounging, beautiful landscaping, super clean and relaxing. Love all the staff and attention to detail without being stuffy or pretentious. Room was small, but perfect. I think they offer larger spaces for more $$$. Delicious served breakfast and coffee service is a nice touch.

Yelp
We love coming to Olea to celebrate special occasions, every detail has been thoughtfully curated for the comfort of guests. The grounds are very peaceful and offer many places to relax, unplug and enjoy a book or glass of wine. The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean. However, what really stands out is the hospitality of the staff and owners, they consistently go above and beyond. Looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
We stayed at Olea for two nights to start off our honeymoon and we could not have asked for a better stay. Everyone we came across was warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and we took advantage of the heated pool and jacuzzi. There are several areas on the grounds where we could grab a complimentary glass of wine and nestle up with a book. And not to mention the delicious breakfast we looked forward to each morning. The location was a great launching point for exploring wineries nearby. We also had incredible dinners at Glen Ellen Star (down the street) and Valley, just a short drive in Sonoma Square. Do not hesitate to book for your Sonoma trip!

Yelp
TRANQUILITY Talk about the ultimate romantic retreat and R&R in the heart of Glen Ellen. I sure miss the heated floors. We used to visit Morton Warm Springs when kids were little to go swimming...we love this area. The beautiful historic cottages were burned down in the October 2017 Northern CA wildfires; the entire property suffered some smoke damage and many olive trees were destroyed (Olea is Latin for olive). Good to know the owners reopened after a year, and they are rebuilding/modernizing the cottages. I'm already booking our return visit for Valentine's Day if hubby's in town, and definitely returning when the cottages are finished. We had such a memorable staycation, I convinced hubby to come back (not much convincing btw). This immaculate hotel is serene and screams romance! Our room was a hillside King with stunning views overlooking the pool area (the hot tub is open 24/7) and mountainside. There's free parking available. We were greeted with a friendly face Gretchen Reisch, Manager & Wine Pour Coordinator, who kindly checked us in and gave us a tour explaining all the fine amenities with complimentary snacks to boot in our room. The wines, coffee and teas were available 'til 9pm and wine tasting hour begins from 5-6pm. We were in for a special treat as Matanzas Creek Winery poured us endless vino. Brad was a great wine host and provided useful information on the property for our future visit. I remember Yelpers raving about their breathtaking lavender field, it's a must-see. Their wines are truly spectacular, can't get them anywhere else. We enjoyed staying on the property and meandering around, soaking in the hot tub and sitting by the fireplace enjoying more wine. I was going to book a couples' massage, but the room used for massages was converted to a conference room this week. No biggie, more reason for us to come back. We didn't want to leave our room, so we had pizza/ravioli delivered from Mary's Pizza Shack, and the nice young man found the hotel easily. The next morning, we thoroughly enjoyed the curated breakfast made by Sous Chef Samantha and our server Greg (menu changes daily). Manager & concierge Kent Sorensen was manning the front desk, and he's another friendly face who greets you. He provided us with an adorable parting gift, a box of biscotti, which paired well with the housemade chai tea. They should totally sell the housemade chai tea, it's amazing! I didn't want to leave our bright comfy room and bed with those beautiful shutters. When visiting Glen Ellen, come check out Hotel Olea (formerly Glenelly Inn), you won't want to leave. Thank you to Gretchen, Samantha, Greg, Kent, chambermaids, and the entire hardworking staff for the wonderful hospitality. It was truly magical and unforgettable! 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY)! P.S. The drive from Marin was breathtaking as well.

Yelp
Returning home from 2 days spent in wine country and 1 night at Olea, I told my son about my experience and he remarked how he much preferred Sonoma County over Napa County. Sonoma County, especially in winter, is intimate, accessible and feels more available to all people as opposed to a certain socio-economic bracket of folks. It feels like Napa County once did, before that son was born. Sonoma is a snug glove on a chilly day where Napa is more a wrap that you must keep securing to make sure you're covered. If Sonoma County is all that, Glen Ellen is one snug, warm little finger in that glove. It's intimate in a way that is difficult to discover in the busy-ness of the urban Bay Area. When you find it you want to hang on and savor it. The Olea Hotel, located in the Glen Ellen community of Sonoma, is about the best way possible to savor it. Pulling into the driveway of the Olea, I had a momentary concern that the Olea was an old-school, traditional B&B which is a thing people seem to either like or dislike and I am mostly in the latter camp. Worry not, for it is the polar opposite. Before being stripped to the studs, redesigned and rebuilt, what stood here was an old-school B&B. What stands here now is a testimony to how excellence in design makes one feel. Room #15 had soaring ceilings, an oversized and modern light-fixture, artful woven wall-hangings, and a king-sized bed whose bedding hadn't even a single crease out of place. Immaculate, spotless, new, and a bit breathtaking; good design makes you feel classy and valued. The room includes the little perks: EO cleansing products, complimentary nibbles, and a heated bathroom floor. The property itself though, includes a pool and jacuzzi (open 24/7), an outdoor fireplace, and self-serve, free wine from late afternoon through the evening. The topper? Special nightly wine tastings (on my visit Spann Vineyards was serving) from 5 -6 p .m., nibbles to accompany the wine tasting, and a breakfast (included) that is far lovelier than most any included breakfast you will find anywhere. Because this "romantic getaway" was arranged by others (huge thank you to Kevin, yelp, and Olea) I paid nothing for the privilege of staying the night at the Olea but it's the sort of place that inspires one to do as I did and look up just what 1 night costs here. Suffice to say that I giggled when I saw the price; it's extremely reasonable for what is being offered. The Olea is an intimate property with space for privacy, a perfect place for a romantic retreat or pretty much any adult get-away. I loved my stay here and have a difficult time believing anyone else could feel differently.

Yelp
What a delightful gem tucked back and nestled among the trees here in Glen Ellen. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't realize this treasure existed and even more ashamed to admit I didn't realize our devastating fires in 2017 came out here and wrecked havoc. The property lost their standalone cottages but the main property was mostly undamaged and is still beautiful with natural landscaping and old oak trees all around. This is going to be an odd thing to notice but this is one of the only properties I've been to where ADA compatibility is all over the property. I noticed access within the pool and hot tub area; ramps, and even a chair lift to allow all guests to enjoy the terraced property. While this is not a need for me I felt it was thoughtful and kind to ensure everyone can savor in this hidden gem in all parts of the property. Our room was spacious and comfortable with beautifully updated touches such as heated floors, easy to control climate remote, spacious tub and rain shower head, and a docking station for phones that'll even plug into their system through the tv. Lovely patio, fridge to keep drinks cold all added up to a lovely stay. The staff was beyond gracious and very friendly. Gretchen and Kent at front of the house were both helpful and friendly, thank you! The property has terraced patios with what ends up feeling like nooks to get lost in with your person as you nestle amongst the trees. It overall leaves one feeling this is a magical spot. The property felt cozy and spacious all at the same which really left a feeling of being right at home. Complimentary wine and drinks in the lobby is certainly a nice touch and of course deliciously received. The complimentary breakfast is the cherry on the sundae! House made chai tea, fresh squeezed orange juice, amazing gingerbread waffles, everything was delicious! Thank you Olea Hotel for a luscious little staycation.

Yelp
Hubby and I had the pleasure of celebrating our 29th anniversary at the romantic Olea hotel and though it was just one night, it definitely made an impression. I have lived here since 1978 and driven to Sonoma more times than I can count. I technically knew where the town was but it never taken the time to enjoy it's charm. This time was too short so we will be back! We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by one of the most friendly host/concierge ever. She welcomed us to the business as though we were her family. There was wine, coffee and the most delicious ginger peach concoction. After our personal and informative tour of the property, hubby and I headed back to the dining area for a wine tasting by Peter Spann, the owner of Spann Vineyards. I love that they bring in local folk. What an opportunity for both the guest and the business owner. As for the property itself, it's tucked back right off the busy road so the sounds of cars was consistent but the beauty of the surroundings helped you forget. We sat in the lounge chairs and enjoyed some wine and later sat around the fire pit and enjoy more wine. :) There were fantastic touches everywhere - heated bathroom floor, airplay integrated TVs, complimentary snacks in the room, wine and coffee avail morning to night, plenty of charging stations, etc - and the most comfortable bed, pillows, and sheets ever. I was awake a couple hours earlier than my husband and I had some work to do, so I headed to the community sitting area and enjoyed some fresh coffee and house made chai tea. Good gracious it was a spicy delight. Though I was waiting for the main breakfast, I couldn't help but sample the apple pastry laid out for continental breakfast. Yum! Wow, the breakfast was definitely worth the wait! It was visually appealing and equally as tasty! The chef's touches were creative and unique, pushing the bar for what one might expect at a "hotel restaurant." (I was reminded how much I love fennel. :) Bottom line ... We were in a beautiful setting, enjoyed decadent but comfortable lodging, relished the scrumptious amenities and were pampered like a guests while being treated as though we were friends. It was perfect.

Yelp
It was very hard to return to reality after our stay at this absolutely amazing Boutique Hotel - the Olea Hotel. Only if I could have lasted longer. The Olea Hotel tucked away in the deep heart of Sonoma County known as Glen Ellen is truly one of the best experiences in Sonoma County. I consider ourselves extremely lucky enough to have gotten the opportunity to experience the 5 Star amenities and service at Olea. We arrived at the property and were just blown away by the scenery, the trees, the green hills and mountains in the background surrounding this wonderful property. We made our way to the lobby to check in and were greeted by Gretchen who made us feel welcomed and gave us the 411 on our stay and the evening itinerary for our wine tasting of wines from the Matanzas Creek Winery in Santa Rosa. They had house wines available to drink from 5 - 9 daily, as well as an assortment of teas. Gretchen showed us to our wonderful and inviting accommodations for the evening. She showed us how the amenities worked in the room, wait did she just say heated bathroom floors....pinch me for I must be dreaming...lol The room overlooked the Glen Ellen valley and it was a superb day. The room even has a place to charge those annoying devices known as a cell phone..the charging station also has the ability to stream your phone to the TV...wow. We enjoyed the room for a little bit before heading back down to the lobby area to join several other Yelp Elite Couples for some wine tasting and other lite bites. We socialized with various other Yelpers, several newly Elites who were lucky enough to score such an amazing opportunity to stay here for a night. Some of us went outside to enjoy the fire pit and conversate with other guest staying at the property. Everyone adjourned afterward, venturing out into the neighboring area in search of dinner. We decided to stay at the hotel and order in, we called none another than Mary's Pizza Shack and they were nice enough to deliver to us just a bit out of the normal delivery area. We enjoyed our food in the comfort of our room, we had to make use of our heavenly accommodations. We wrapped up dinner and decided to go check out the hot tub and swimming pool. The pool area was very well laid out and had ADA chairs for the hot tub and the swimming pool so all can enjoy even with mobility challenges. The hot tub was just the right temperature, not too overly hot. We did not have the guts to jump into the cold water of the swimming pool this time, even though a few other did. We retired for the evening back to our luscious King size bed for the night, sleeping so soundly. We arose the next morning to the wonderful morning view of Glen Ellen, such a peaceful morning, even though a lot of construction is going on in the area to rebuild homes that were lost in the wildfires of 2017and the rebuilding of the Olea Hotel cottages that were also lost in the wildfires. We went down to the lobby to get some coffee and to see what was on the menu for breakfast. We were greeted by Samantha, the Sous Chef who was running the show while the Executive Chef was off at training. The breakfast was truly amazing and delicious, I even ate warm oatmeal for the very first time. Everything was prepared with great pride and care that you could tell the staff truly enjoyed their jobs. After breakfast, we walked around the property a little bit enjoying what it had to offer. Out of curiosity I checked the rates for another stay in March and was shocked that this place was actually very affordable and reasonable for the amenities and the experience that almost anyone could enjoy a night away in bliss in Sonoma County which still has not lost its warm welcoming feel. Alas, all good things must come to an end for now,but we will be back for sure.

Yelp
TBH, the hubby and I are usually partial to hotel chains, bc we like "knowing the drill" and having consistent experiences. That said, when planning our anniversary getaway last month in Sonoma County, it wasn't easy finding a place that accepted dogs AND that had a pool/hot tub PLUS came with a long list of stellar reviews! Olea fit the bill, and I'm so happy we stayed there. This B&B is a true gem! Our room was beautiful, immaculate, and so thoughtfully designed. Gretchen, Devesh, and Kent are the epitome of hospitality-- so genuinely warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were creative, fresh, tasty, and surprisingly filling. We've been to Sonoma County countless times, but this was our first visit to quaint little Glen Ellen. It has an adorable tiny downtown, a fancy gourmet market nearby, plus plenty of trails at Sonoma Valley Regional Park. And the grounds of Olea provide a relaxing oasis, offering multiple seating areas under a canopy of trees filled with songbirds and surrounded by lush plantings. I've told all my friends about Olea, and we can't wait to come back! Bravo on a this lovely treasure!

Yelp
All around wonderful experience at Olea Hotel. From Gretchen at the front desk to our fantastic breakfast server Greg, everyone here works hard to make you feel welcomed and right at home. Our king suite room was indeed fit for a king. The bathroom in particular was very impressive with a large tub on one side and a beautiful shower on the other side. This shower boasted a huge rain shower-head and river rock flooring. And the heated bathroom tiles is nice touch! For dinner we drove into town and after a few failed attempts, finally found somewhere to eat. Highly recommend making advance reservations because every restaurant in Glen Ellen seems to have a wait, even on Wednesday. Breakfast in the morning was incredible. The homemade ginger sage sausage was definitely the standout. Though I didn't try it, the ginger waffles with pumpkin creme fresh looked fantastic. After breakfast we spent the remainder of our stay relaxing on the porch outside our room until checkout. Throughly enjoyed my mid-week mini vaca at Olea Hotel!

Yelp
What a fabulous experience staying at the Olea Hotel. The staff were amazingly helpful, we went to check in and the very friendly lady behind the counter greeted us and gave us a mini tour, the first thing that struck my wife and I was the complimentary wine, we've been to quite a few hotels and have pretty much never had complimentary wine on a daily basis up til 9pm. Additionally coffee is readily available and there was also a spritzer available to us. What I will remember most about the place is the hospitality! We were not only given our room keys, the staff person showed us to our room, proceeded to show us inside the room and explain how different things worked and also showing us the complimentary in room snacks. We checked in about 4:30 and the hotel offered a wine tasting (specially arranged with an outside winery - Spann vineyards, presented by owner Peter Spann), we had three wines first was a Viognier which was very tasty, next was a Malbec and lastly another red Mojo (blend). Great experience and Peter Spann was explained and answered questions. The grounds at Olea are very peaceful, it is rather close to the road, so some of the outdoor you can hear the road, they have a pool and hot tub, a nice outside sitting area with a fire pit and many other little sitting places to enjoy the serenity of sitting under the massive oaks. The room was VERY spacious with (as mentioned above) some complimentary snacks, a very nice king sized bed with very luxurious sheets and pillows I wanted to bring home, not too firm and not too soft, an absolute perfect nights sleep... one of my favorite items was the heated floors in the bathroom, how cool was that! Nice sized TV with very speedy internet /WiFi. They also had hook up to run your phone thru the Tv, we were able to check out Netflix for thru our phone. In the morning, we had a fabulous complimentary two course breakfast that consisted of bacon and eggs with some mini half potatoes on a bed of some tasty red sauce. Also with breakfast was a mini doughnut filled with cream sauce and some fruit, black berries, grapes and slices of blood orange. I'd say this is more of an adult place to be, we would definitely return. Happy anniversary to us!!! Thank you Olea staff for making this a fantastic evening.

Yelp
This hotel in Glen Ellen is just outside of town. The view is beautiful looking out over lush green trees and the hills in the distance. The first thing we noticed was home owners rebuilding from the fires last year and this place didn't escape that devastation. The did amazing renovations and reopened a beautiful place that their rack rates don't reflect Serene views along with touches in the rooms and the friendliest staff made the stay. From the landscaping, the fire pit to the pool and spa the amenities outside are superb. In the rooms they have everything you might need including heated floors in the bathroom. There are chargers for every device and the ability to stream your content to the television from your devices. Electric vehicle charging onsite. There is wine in the reception that is left out until I think 9, I might be wrong here, but either way more generous than anywhere else I've stayed. They also bring in wineries for tastings. Breakfast is included. Coffee, tea and juice is set out in the morning. The breakfast was not your normal included breakfast, it's a gourmet meal. They don't serve dinner but there are plenty of places around for sit in, takeout or delivery. I get up early so I grabbed coffee and juice and sat in the jacuzzi enjoying the quiet until I noticed people heading to breakfast, then sat awhile longer. I can't remember a more relaxing stay in Sonoma, probably anywhere. After breakfast and checkout we visited the nearby lake and drove through places we probably would have never encountered had we not stayed here Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place was such a treat to stay in! I needed a quick stay for us for only one night and this hotel was one of the only in the area that didn't have a 2 night minimum stay. Prior to arriving, the hotel emailed me the day before about a complimentary wine tasting they would be having when we arrived, so we RSVP'd. Upon arriving the staff was *fantastic* (shoutout to Kent) and the room and grounds were wonderful. He recommended Glen Ellen Star for dinner down the road which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our king room was located below the lobby/dining area (Room 11). I saw a previous review that mentioned loud music and banging in this room. We didn't experience either, but I bring ear plugs when I travel so I likely wouldn't have heard it. Also...the bathroom floor tiling is heated! This was definitely a feature I never knew I needed in my life. (That's what living in South Florida does I suppose). The next morning the complimentary breakfast was stellar. There was a continental option of baked goods and coffee/tea, or a full breakfast which included a delicious smoothie bowl, as well as sweet and savory bites including mini pancakes, bacon lardons, scrambled eggs, and a potato waffle. It's probably one of the most gourmet breakfasts I've ever had in a hotel --and it was all included! In short, even though our stay was only for one night Olea Hotel was a true gem. It had a B&B feel that was ultra modern and I can't recommend it enough.

Yelp
Wow, where do I begin. Check in was seamless and the staff was so pleasant. Walking into our room felt like a picture in a magazine. All the beautiful details to make the room feel luxurious and cozy at the same time. Heated floors, indoor/outdoor fire place, spacious tub, furniture was modern and decorated beautifully but best of all, spotless. The room felt like we had been the first ones to use it. During this time, having a clean space makes you feel at ease to be there. I can't say enough about the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure any accommodation and need was met. We have a beautiful contactless breakfast which was fantastic. My husband and I ate every last bit of it. Anytime you should need a getaway, this should be at the top of your list. This beats a big hotel any day. Thank you Olea for treating us so well on this much needed getaway.

Yelp
We had an amazing time there celebrating our 40th anniversary, until the last day. We only eat outdoors as we are older, and do not eat an indoor restaurants which we had let the hotel know before we got there. Breakfast was great every day until the last day, when the young family, they were very unruly dog came to sit outside as dogs are not allowed inside. The dog kept barking and barking and yapping, and they kept trying to walk the dog down the various paths and back to see if he would calm down but he did not. They tried to sit down at the table next to us. A few times with the dog kept barking and lunging, and everyone who walked by and asked who we're sitting at the table next to them. They left again, and I thought perhaps they would take breakfast on the terrace as many people do. We were in the middle of our first course, and the family came back and sat down, and the dog continued to bark in lunch. I told the family it was not OK to sit there and have the dog barking the whole time we were trying to eat breakfast. The family basically laughed at me and thought it was really funny. To be honest, I got really upset. If the owners are going to allow dogs, I think they need to ensure that dog owners are responsible and don't let their dog bark incessantly and jump on people. I took my breakfast and went up to the terrace myself and my husband soon followed. It was the Hotel's responsibility to ask the family to move up to the terrace as we were actually in the middle of breakfast. I decided to pack up to leave. I was promised I would hear from the owners, but I have not. We spent close to $2000 on this say and it is quite high-end and quite expensive even with the "black Friday" discount. To be fair, they were quite shorthanded today with a full house, and only one server. They didn't have anybody kind of watching in and out of the guests, indoors or outdoors, so no one was attending to the fact that this dog was quite unruly. They're going to allow dogs. I think they need to have enough staff to make sure that families are following the rules around their dogs being contained. This really ruined our stay and I'm still quite upset

Yelp
Amazing hotel! Amazing people! Kathryn the manager was so welcoming and helpful at check in. She filled my backpack cooler with ice for a bottle of wine I wanted to share with a woman I was meeting for the first time. Then I dropped wine in my room and it shattered everywhere. They offered to clean it up but my fault my mess I got this. Next I wanted a glass of wine and grabbed an empty glass that Kathryn said someone already drank out of. She stated that we need to keep an eye on you. Making us both laugh. When the women showed up we had complimentary wine offered by the hotel and enjoyed it outside. This is where amazing comes in. Kathryn noticed that our wine was getting low and she came outside to pour more. She also told my date how beautiful she is and of course I said the same thing. Out of this world customer care. Appreciate ya Kathryn! More trouble ahead. I went to the French pastry bakery down the street which I highly recommend. Proceeded to lock myself out of my room. Kathryn had to let me in and very appropriately called me "the problem child" while smiling and laughing. The next morning the wonderful Ava served me breakfast which was awesome! She's a gem. Very friendly and attentive. One more thing I recommend is Jack London saloon. Met some really friendly locals while we watched the Giants game. Very casual and great customer service. Heading to Jack London Park k this morning before heading home which I'm sure will be very cool experience. I'll definitely be back at the Olea Hotel soon!!

Yelp
We recently came back to the hotel for an overnight getaway. The same excellent rooms and service still exist. We were warmly welcomed when we checked in and were offered some juice and coffee. Luckily they were able to accommodate an early check in. We got an upper view king room which had all the same amenities (water and snacks) and beautiful view. We got to enjoy the hot tub and sitting poolside (even though the pool was heated). The property even has a nice fire-pit area that runs all day. We enjoyed a nice hike which is only a couple of miles away since wine tasting was not open. In the afternoon the hotel offers their own "wine tasting" where you could pick your own wine and pour yourself a glass. There were times when there were certain items I needed (extra wine glasses, hair cap, etc) and the service at the hotel easily accommodated. Lastly, we were able to enjoy the yummy breakfast in our room. I love this hotel and all of the modifications they have done to it since after the fires (new pool, beautiful cottages). We will be back!

Yelp
The Olea Hotel in Glen Ellen, CA is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. It is an adult only resort, so it is very quiet by the pool, hot tub and throughout the property. We were warmly greeted at check-in and our room was ready upon our arrival. I greatly appreciated the good advice on which walking path to take into town for dinner. Our room was modern, clean and very comfortable. The water, wine glasses, snacks and wine opener was a great touch. I especially loved the heated pool and hot tub. It was very nice that the hotel provided robes and extra towels. The two course breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed sitting I the dinning/sun room. After breakfast, it was very nice sitting by the fire pit and enjoying another hot cup of coffee on a cool morning. I highly recommend the Olea Hotel for a romantic weekend &/or a getaway with friends.

Yelp
Olea is our favorite hotel on the planet. My fiancé surprised me with a stay here the night after we got engaged 2 years ago, and it was the single best hotel experience I have ever had. The service is amazing, and the reception staff are so kind and friendly and always smiling. We were greated with champagne in our room and spent the day by their gorgeous pool and hot tub. We stumbled on the Glen Ellen star for dinner, which is now one of our favorite restaurants and walking distance from the Olea. We couldn't have had a better experience. Sometimes experiences that are that incredible are hard to recreate a second time. I was actually nervous to come back because I had such a fond memory of this place that I was worried a second visit wouldn't live up. That could have been farther from the truth! We just left the Olea for the second time, celebrating our 7 year anniversary and 6 months until we finally get married. When we got in, they remembered that we had been there 2 years ago and had upgraded us to the nicest room they have. A gorgeous cottage right next to the pool area with an indoor ourdoor fireplace, huge bathtub and gorgeous decor. I almost it started crying on the spot. We can't say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and stay here! We will be coming here for the rest of our lives and this place will always have a really really special place in our lives. Thank you Olea team and family! We are so happy to have found you.

Yelp
This place is so cute...a literal hidden gem located near downtown Glen Ellen in Sonoma, CA. We were greeted at the front desk by Gretchen, who then led us to our room on the first floor of the middle building. We had our dog with us, so we had requested a dog friendly room. It on the small side with a queen bed, but had beautiful, grey hard wood floors and they provided us with a dog bed, treats, and bowls for food and water. Madison, our Pug, loved that bed!! In fact, we loved our human bed, too. It was very comfortable. We enjoyed the firepit and the grounds just before the wine reception in the lobby area. The wine was by Spann and it was very good and extremely generous pours. We hung out with several of our friends and had a really nice time. None of us made it to the hot tub that night, but my husband spent a good hour in it the next morning. Speaking of morning, I'm not usually a morning person...but on this morning I was! It was so good that I was reminded how breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. I was going all day after that and didn't get hungry until dinner. Our first course was a beautiful display of Cara Cara orange slices, blackberries, purple grapes, and a violet flower garnish, along with an orange marmalade cream filled doughnut. Superb! The entree course was Persimmon pancakes with a huckleberry compote butter and a pistachio crumble along with some scrambled eggs, truffled fingerling potatoes, shaved fennel, red pepper coulis & parsley oil, and 2 slices of perfectly cooked Hobbs bacon. I do not like fruit, nor do I have a sweet tooth, but this was so delicious and perfectly balanced that I was really won over. I would love to come back again one day and enjoy more of what they have to offer. It was just so lovely and comfortable. The service by Devish (I think...one of the sons of the owner) in the dining room was outstanding! He was so friendly and knowledgeable and he kept my water glass filled at all times. Such a sweet guy!! Thank you so much.

Yelp
Amazing standard of what a cute Inn should be and what every other one should attain too. Our stay was amazingly comfortable and only living 45 mins away definitely still makes me want to come back often . Great service and staff help and the amenities are next level but it all Pales in comparison to the vibe of feeling at home and that the place is yours . Perfect location and with great eats in the town of Glen Ellen. Highly highly recommend to everyone reading this not even to have doubts . It's where you want to stay . Tasteful rooms with shower and tubs , heated floors , plush robes and comfy beds. 24/7 hot tub and pool, top quality breakfast in morning at 8:30-10:30 with fresh orange juice, coffee and house made chia , espresso throughout the day and free wine til 9 (pm) . Can't ask for much more . We will definitely be back to treat ourselves and this has moved to my number one recommendation for friends and out-of-towners looking for a quaint, somewhat hidden and completely unique gem! The owner Ashish (whom we had the pleasure of meeting by the fire pit) and his wife Patel (didnt get to meet her) are very humble but so knowledgeable about how to take the best of their experiences from their stays and travels and cluster everything they've learned and continue to learn in to what's now called Olea Hotel.

Yelp
I LOVE the Olea Hotel! Thanks to Yelp, I found this gem tucked away in Glen Ellen for a work trip last year. I'd forgotten to ask for an upstairs room, so after check-in, I inquired if they might have something upstairs. The bad news: they did not have an upstairs room equivalent to the one I'd reserved. The great news: I got a free upgrade to one of their sweet garden cottages next to the hot tub and rose garden - score! The next morning brought the most incredible two-course breakfast plus buffet offerings, complete with housemade chai. Flash forward several months: as I was considering options for my birthday getaway in early January, Olea came to mind as one of my favorite finds over the past few years, and what better way to celebrate another year than in wine country? I booked it (remembering to request an upstairs room this time) and was most pleasantly surprised to find out that they were hosting a special wine tasting event the evening of our arrival. I love when things come together like that! Upon arrival, we were so pleased to be shown to Room 16 at the far end of the newly renovated set of Upper View King rooms, and it is just gorgeous. Julie and Kent even left a sweet treat and card for my birthday ~ aw shucks! We enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine and a competitive game of Scrabble borrowed from their nice array of games. Then we strolled back to the lobby for the wine tasting before heading to a delicious dinner just down the road at The Fig Café. Woke up on my birthday and luxuriated in a delightful bubble bath before enjoying another fabulous breakfast whipped up on site by their extremely talented chef. I was so excited to learn that I had an upcoming multi-day meeting in where else but Glen Ellen!? I quickly reserved a room at the Olea (their least expensive offering, since I work for a non-profit) and the owner sent me a follow-up email saying that they've upgraded me to an Upper View King room as a way of saying thanks for staying with them multiple times. Thanks, Olea! You're quickly becoming my favorite hotel ever. Very much looking forward to my upcoming visit!

Yelp
Gosh, this is a rough one. I am hovering between four stars and five. Everyone raves about it on Yelp and I would give it five stars for customer service for sure. Everyone goes way out of their way to assist you. Hosts are incredibly gracious and patient with weary (and yes, I was cranky) travelers. After arriving to be disappointed at the appearance of the hotel (you enter onto a vast parking lot and on that drizzly day the hotel seemed average and unimpressive), the desk staff were very helpful. But for the price (I found a good discount but then there was that hidden resort fee so trendy and irritating and just plain WRONG added to the total) I expected a level of luxury that was def there in the service I received, but not so evident in the accommodations. Of course, we had the "cheap seats" facing the parking lot and the (unheated!) pool. But I did enjoy the hot tub/spa. And the view of the hills beyond the lot was very beautiful. If facing the back hill I can see how this would've been a more beautiful and comforting place to stay. Our room was well-appointed but small. Super soft sheets, free snacks, delicious coffee, fridge, but no microwave. For me luxury means a larger room. The room was very clean but felt a bit austere, even sterile. Modern is perhaps the word I'm looking for, which would appeal to plenty of people. On the hill side of the property there are gorgeous trees and a long strip of attractive patio and landscaping, but since it was a rainy day all the chairs were covered. Now let's talk about breakfast. The breakfast was AWESOME. Those same helpful staff knocked it out of the park. We were able to sit outside because they brought us a heater. How sweet! And speaking of sweet, that's how they set up breakfast with one sweet and one savory dish. And those dishes were SOOOO good. Waffles with vanilla cream cheese and avocado toast with roasted chickpeas. Yow! Amazing. So some over-the- top amazing stuff, and some just ok stuff. But overall a unique stay that would be especially nice to experience in warmer weather. Oh and they were SO nice to our dog. She loved that dog bed. No kidding. Ok, after weighing things as I write this review, I'll do what everyone apparently does - give Olea five stars. The staff there are amazing. I was heading this toward a four-star review, but it looks like you won me over, Olea!

Yelp
My husband and I came here for a staycation (from SF), best decision ever! The environment is super relaxing, with various outdoor seating areas, enough to provide privacy and relaxation for all guests. The rooms are very well designed and appointed, with all the modern amenities you need (except lacking USB charger), including the flat screen TV that can be connected directly with your mobile phone for ease of online streaming. We stayed in one of the two lovely cottages, it has indoor/outdoor fireplace (mind blown) and heated bathroom floors (what luxury)! Bed was huge and comfortable. The robe was of high quality- in case anyone else sleeps in robes like I do, hah. Just missing indoor slippers. The 3 course complimentary breakfast was also very impressive, tasty, and satisfying. We've traveled a lot, and I'm honestly unsure how this place is a 3 star hotel. It's definitely on par, if not exceeds, most 4 star hotels around the world.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night in early April 2021. Absolutely loved Olea. Devesh, who took great care of us throughout our stay, was kind enough to give us a call to make sure our check in process went smoothly since we were arriving a bit later in the evening. After checking in we were offered a complementary glass of wine which we absolutely said yes to. Devesh walked us to our room and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. We were thrilled to hear the pool and spa were open 24/7. We quickly changed, put on their very nice and plush spa robes and headed to the pool with our glasses of wine. Spa was great but the pool was heated and felt just as soothing during our late night dip. The rooms were on the smaller side but were more than adequate. Modern details, spacious shower, heated floor, and quite air conditioner were the room highlights for us. Complementary breakfast outside on the terrace beneath the trees was a perfect start to our morning. We checked out at 11am and Devesh let us know we could hang out at the pool as long as we wanted. He was more than happy to pour us one last glass of wine that we took over to the pool. Overall, an excellent experience. Would highly recommend and we cannot wait to come back here for more rest and relaxation!

Yelp
We stayed here (in room #5) in early April. This room is away from the street on the second floor and is carpeted. It was peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of places to find quiet time on the grounds as others mentioned. The owners did a great job with plants and chairs on the property. There is a pool but too short for laps so I just did calisthenics. Saw others using the hot tub. The kitchen staff accommodated my husband's dietary needs. Everyone was friendly and checked into our needs from the front desk, kitchen, and cleaning staff. Good to hear that they were able to save their property during the fires because of the sprinkler system. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Especially liked the inside shutters on the windows (which all had screens to keep the bugs out). Breakfast was simple but filling and they give you a sweet and savory course. I've read complaints that it wasn't "fancy" enough but felt creative enough for us and everything was perfectly cooked, so no complaints. They also left a birthday card and chocolates for my husband's birthday which was lovely. Three or four different wines are available in the afternoon, through the evening. There is a public "living room" with a fireplace, games, and lots of brochures of the area. We are sensitive about barking dogs but didn't experience any during our stay. We could hear the guests next door through the bathroom wall on occasion but just closed the door and it was fine. This hotel is within walking distance to the town center (although, no sidewalk) and has a fairly large grocery store and cafes/restaurants. Jack London Park is a must see. There is no staff on site after 9 pm (till 7:30 am) but it wasn't a problem for us. They do leave contact info for guests. I don't see this as a place to get rowdy and we experienced guests being respectful and polite. All in all a very pleasant experience to be in nature but with modern amenities.

Yelp
Beautiful, friendly & tranquil. I had the best day here last week. The staff is absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Friendly, knowledgeable about the area, great winery recommendations, perfect pool setting...the other guests were even amazing. I love this place! My massage by Peter was fantastic, and the breakfast...OMG the breakfast! I just can't say enough. Let these smiles say how much Mom & I enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
What can I say that hasn't already been written? This place is phenomenal, beautiful rooms, awesome location, amazing staff and delicious breakfast. The fireplace in the room was perfect on the chilly early spring nights, super comfortable bed and the list goes on. The only critique is the shower may be difficult for some to get in and out of, it was super slippery, and there was no grab bar located in a way to aid when entering or exiting. Other than that it's a stellar hotel.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Olea Hotel for our honeymoon this week and we enjoyed our 3-nights, 4-days stay. The staff were all amicable and kind and the rooms were well-made and clean. Morning breakfast is fancy and the pool/hot tub was our favorite spot.

Yelp
We have been to Olea several times, and really enjoy our stays. They are a bit off the beaten path, so it's quiet and restful, with easy access to great dining and wineries. The included breakfasts are superb. This last time we were planning a two night stay, and unfortunately, my wife was not feeling well at all, and we decided that we needed to leave after one night. Because of their 7 day cancelation policy, we fully expected to be charged for both nights, but they only charged us for the one night we used. All the staff are welcoming and gracious. They continue to be our favorite place for a mid week get away.

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel. I have to say the most impressive part of our stay was the chef. Her breakfasts (which are included in the room price) featured very creative menus with exquisitely prepared & presented dishes. All awesomely delicious.

Yelp
Olea is a solid 3.75 star place and to be clear, I do really like this place and would come back and recommend... Pros: - The #1 thing I look for is clean room, even cleaner bathroom and good water pressure in the shower; Olea checked all the boxes! - Updated, modern rooms (but the pet friendly rooms are quite small). I was alone with my dog and I think if I had another person in there, it would feel too tight. - The plush bed, bowls and dogs treats were so appreciated! - Though fully booked, the place was quiet and peaceful. I usually had the entire courtyard to myself, which was nice so my dog could roam and explore freely. He loved it! - The complimentary breakfast was consistently so good and not your typical American style breakfast. It was a different gourmet breakfast every morning. - There was always parking and it was easy to park despite being a small property - Complimentary wine - Everyone is very nice Cons: - The biggest con was I got 21 flea bites my first night there. Now, I don't really blame the hotel because with pet friendly hotels, that's the risk you take - you don't know if the dog who stayed there before you left any fleas and it's really hard to find and kill them unless you fog the room after each guest which isn't really healthy to breathe in those chemicals. I was miserably itchy unfortunately. And I know it wasn't from my dog because my dog isn't itchy and I checked him and he had no fleas or bites. - the walls are paper thin. The first night, I heard the guy upstairs from 10pm for hours. I don't know what they were doing up there. The second night I started hearing him at 8pm, it stopped, and then he woke me up at 3am. So I didn't get the rest I was hoping for. - While the breakfast was amazing, unfortunately, the bees thought so too. I kept getting swarmed by bees and it made breakfast super annoying. I absolutely hate bees or anything that buzzed near me so I was freaking out. I moved to the fire pit and that helped, but I was so over it that the next day I just requested breakfast in my room. It would be nice to have bee deterrent near the tables. - Internet is spotty. It goes in and out often, which was annoying. - Only certain rooms are pet friendly. I booked the king but unfortunately only the queen room is pet friendly. Still a decent room, but I tend to book bigger rooms so I can spread out and relax and feel at home. - when I removed the brown blanket that's at the end of the bed, I found red stains that looked like period stains on the comforter. Overall, good place to stay for a peaceful getaway. I'd recommend a bigger room though and try to get a room upstairs so you're not hearing footsteps all night.

Yelp
Wow - there are so many things I want to rave about during our only 1-night stay the Olea Hotel. The hotel is definitely pricey, so it's not going to be for everyone. But they do a fantastic job of making it feel like it is worth the price. Some of my favorite aspects: 1) the room had an amazing fireplace 2) heated bathroom floors 3) extremely comfy linens 4) free wine in the lobby 5) hot tub 6) and the BREAKFAST. We came when it was raining all day so we didn't get to enjoy any of the outdoor seating/firepits but they looked very nice. If you're celebrating something with a significant other I would highly recommend a splurge to stay here. It's worth it!

Yelp
What I like about this boutique hotel is the breakfast. The options are comparable with any four star hotel in San Francisco. The staff are very friendly and polite. Our room is very clean. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom floor is heated. This hotel is very pooch friendly too. There's even a bed waiting for our dog. The only thing I dont like about this place is its proximity to the road.

Yelp
Complete dream! I love it here! It's been raining and we are still having a wonderful time! The staff, the area, the room, and ambiance is just perfect! I will defy come back here at least twice or more a year! If I wasn't an 8 hour drive away I'd be here every weekend! It is so delicious! The staff is super friendly, and they even gave me a dog bowl, treats, and pup bed for my pup! The breakfast in the morning is to die for! Their chef is a true Master! I'm a chef myself , and I can truly appreciate her exquisite pairings, and attention to detail, presentation, and flavor! This is truly a gem! Thank you all so much for a beautiful time :)

Yelp
This was a really cute quick getaway for my birthday weekend. The king room we had modern with heated floored bathrooms. I loved that they provided my dog with a bed (that was too small but it was really cute!) and a jar full of snacks for her along with bowls for food and water. The location was tucked away on a hillside, that night we sat by the fire pit and a family of deer causally sauntered around foraging for food. Breakfast provided was amazing, definitely will be back to experience a little bit more of it. Unfortunately that night there were staff hanging out in the jacuzzi and I didn't feel comfortable joining in, but it looked amazing.
