I always send a gift to my family from OP at Christmas. Despite living on the other side of the country, my trust in this shop (the level of taste and quality) I’d trust all my most precious gifting to the keepers of this shop. This season I placed my order and unfortunately a few items were oversold. They very quickly contacted me via text and offered me beautiful and high quality replacements, gift preparation and the inclusion of a personal card. If you have good taste this shop is a must visit! Everything is so well curated with a collection of beautiful vintage and contemporary home goods. Every time I walk in there is something different, so if you see something you like don't sleep on it because it might be gone tomorrow! If you were looking for a new art piece, this shop is my go to and prices are very reasonable. So, take your friends, grab a coffee and bite at the nearby cafe, and walk over to O+P and don't forget to smell all the candles.

I LOVE shopping at Oleander and Palm…for myself and the special people in my life - It’s my “go to” place for gifts! I always feel like I’m visiting a friend in the neighborhood (the homemade cookies and drinks are amazing). Jeran’s laid back “modern retro” vibe is fun and she is always sourcing new and different high quality products. There’s always something new to see!

Although the Oleander and Palm brick and mortar hasn’t been around long it’s been such a cool edition to Downtown Bakersfield! Jeran’s Oleander and Palm has the most amazing mix of curated vintage a new that is perfect for any gift occasion. From a guy’s perspective, it’s the easiest and most efficient way to get a thoughtful high quality gift for someone. It’s a one stop shop for awesome goods. Go see Jeran, she’s the best and so is her shop!

This is my favorite local store downtown if not in the entire city. If you have friends who are difficult to shop for or have eclectic tastes, Oleander + Palm probably has exactly what you're looking for. This tiny boutique tucked away in the cutest shopping arcade stocks items you won't find anywhere else in town including vintage accessories for the home, cards, and candles. I try to stop by during the holidays each year to browse their vintage Christmas ornament selection. They're stocked with classic style glass ornaments from the 1970s and 80s. I love the patina on these mostly American-made ornaments which are such high-quality when compared to new ornaments. The owners are incredibly helpful and make excellent recommendations. I recently found the perfect mid-20th century hand-blown glass tree topper still in its original box with their help. The store always smells great with scented candles burning making the place inviting and cozy. They carry a lot of brands from companies and stores that share their ethos. And the prices are reasonable for the one-of-a-kind items they sell from these purveyors - many of them international. Oleander + Palm epitomizes what it means to shop locally. And we're lucky to have them here.
