We stayed in the Olerai studio, a 2 bedroom cottage and had a lovely stay. The cottage was very beautiful and the sanctuary is expansive with a lot of animals anywhere you go. We had zebras, giraffes, wart hogs, deer, buffaloes, etc. all around us. Alfred, the manager is really sweet and promptly helps you with all your needs during your stay. Mamoset was really helpful and kept our cottage clean throughout. We had a chef coming in to make our breakfast every morning which was lovely. Moses took us for evening walks around the property which was really fun and he is such a sweet person. Spent hours explaining to us about the sanctuary, the animals, etc. Would definitely love to visit again.

Super friendly and accommodating staff; great, relaxing experience for families. Animals come right up to the house and its safe for small children to run around. Walks that extend beyond the front of the house are accompanied by a guide who is available on very short notice. The home is cozy and comfortable and is well kept by the staff. A campfire is lit every night with chairs arranged around it for outdoor chilling. ||Highly recommend bringing your own food/groceries and asking for the cook, Joyce - who prepares healthy wholesome meals from scratch. ||Only downside is the mosquitoes, bring repellent and you should be fine.

Team Olerai gave us an awesome experience! The staff is really friendly, making sure we had the most perfect stay! The homecooked meals with the fresh vegetables from the garden are delicious. Definitely recommend staying here for more a few nights!

A lost and refound paradise! Olerai House is pure magic -peaceful, beautifully designed and surrounded by nature. The gardens are lush and full of life, and the whole place feels like a well-kept secret. The staff are kind and attentive, and the food is always fresh, local, and delicious. Can’t wait to return!

We spent one night in this place and we were really disappointed. Apart of the view which is standard and you can find much more better in Kenya we were not impressed at all. |1. We got a very exposed room washroom included the stuff is working around all the time. Even with closing curtains was no privacy.|2. Room was dated as well as bed sheets towels washrooms pillows matteresses. It's really shame to have this low standard for such a high price |3. Light was off for 3 hours, generator off as well. No hot water in the room. After fixing it was loaded of mud. Toilet flush leacking and taps are dated and splashing everywhere.|4. Pool is 15min walk and is part of owner's house. Was not clean as well.|5. We were charged conservancy fees and its surprising. Finally Is a garden belonging to the owner who is collecting the fees! Same fees paid to enter Massai mara!|6. Food is average and especially the menu a la carte ridiculously overpriced. You are obliged to order 2 portions per dish. Juice diluted and they acknowledged as well as coffee. ||In 2025 and with all facilities you have now you can only expect flawless accommodation and serviced which is not you case unfortunately.|Would we recommend? No. Would we come back again? No!

5 stars is not high enough for this paradise. Accommodation was just perfect, a real feel of Kenya. The hot water took a while to come through and power went off occasionally but this is what you expect from such a rural location. If you want clinical, soulless accommodation this is not for you! The staff are all amazing, a special thanks to Alfred who organised everything, from safari to boat trips. |Now the most amazing part - the animals. I shared the garden with zebras, giraffes, warthogs, buffalo, monkeys, hippos and much more. Better than any safari. I had the honour of meeting Oria, lovely lady with the most beautiful house.

Great getaway in Nairobi. Gentle animals like giraffes, warthog and antelope room free. Rooms are beautifully decorated and has a warm feel to it. Only 6 rooms on the resort. Food and service were superb. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. Had a bonfire after dinner and got to see Hippos come out of the water. A guide is there constantly to protect visitors in case of animal attacks.
