We loved our stay at Olga’s fancy. It is a great value for the location. It has a pool, they offer free coffee in the morning, and the price makes it a fantastic deal. They don’t have drinkable water there so I would suggest purchasing a couple of bottles for the room. The area has a few nice restaurants and bars around. Overall, if you are looking for a place with all the bells and whistles, this isn’t for you. If you are looking for a great view, wonderful people, and good value, this is the best to be. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

We planned a family trip to the BVI and wanted to do a few days in STT. We found Olga’s Fancy to be the perfect place we were looking for. All the positive reviews are well deserved. Candy and Eddie were the most awesome hosts. Every recommendation they gave us, turned out to be perfect…great people. |If you’re looking for the Ritz or all inclusive cruise ship experience, this isn’t for you, keep moving. If you’re looking for a quiet spot with true island feel, look no further!|I highly recommend Olga’s Fancy and we have now found our go to spot when we visit STT again. |David

We arrived from BVI by boat, u can walk to Olga’s fancy. Clean and cosy surrounding. It’s a lovely location, lovely restaurant next door. Walkable to town. This hotel has a lot of staircase. If u hv big and heavy luggage, be prepared. Considering the steep price of $500 for 2 nights, the room was quite dull, no ambiance, the frame of the bed was too big for the mattress and in a small room, u hit it a few times, decent shampoo and conditioner were not provided, the towel smelled and a baby cockroach running out of the pool towel. No coffee machines in the room either. Small details and a functional of a hotel room can either give more stress or comfort and happiness.

Accommodated a group of 14 people and all the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Waterfront and right in French town - easy accessible to restaurants and taxis to get to the beaches, bars, and everything st Thomas has to offer! Candy is a wonderful host!

Google
Delightful! So glad that I stumbled across this place! The antithesis to faceless hotel stays. Eddie and Candy were delightful- helpful and friendly but not obtrusive. Rooms are fresh and clean, I can highly recommend both the Ocean View King and the Seaside King but the Ocean View in particular because it has a wonderful balcony, perfect for romantic sunset drinks. The pool area is lovely and I appreciated the morning coffee 😊 The restaurant next door, Oceana, was also a highlight of my trip. Love that it's kid-free, very peaceful 😌 They do warn you about the stairs, but the views from the hillside are easily worth carrying bags up the stairs!

When going to St John we often spend a day or two before/after in St Thomas. This was the first time we've stayed at Olga's and we will definitely be back. The hotel itself looks great; everything seemed clean and well kept up. Our room looked out on the water toward Charlotte Amalie. Plenty of places to eat in Frenchtown within walking distance.

This was a great place to stay. We visited for 4 nights and loved it. Eddie was a wonderful host. We had an ocean view room and a balcony. The only draw back to this was the fact that the prevailing winds come from a different direction so we never had the breeze we expected. ||The pool was nice and mostly had it to ourselves. They never close it, so night swims are always a plus. ||Coffee and tea service on the patio every morning starting around 7 and this makes for a nice breezy morning. ||The rooms are nice and the beds are super comfortable. We’d pack it up and shop it home if possible. ||Be aware there is not a hair dryer or in room coffee, but there is a refrigerator. ||It’s also a bit out of the way if you’re using taxis, but they will call one if needed. Just a tip…it’s cheaper to rent a car.

Olga’s fancy was by far the best experience I’ve had when it comes to hospitality in the islands, the hosts Eddie and Candy were absolutely wonderful and made me feel at home. The view from my room was spectacular, I could’ve sat on the deck the whole trip and admired the landscape. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking to visit st Thomas.

Yelp
What an amazing hotel! It's so quiet and peaceful, and right on the ocean. Our ocean view room was clean and the chairs on the balcony made for very comfy chats in the evening. The local cats were super friendly. The owners were knowledgeable about the area and made sure all our needs were met. We visited during the week and my husband and I had the pool to ourselves every evening. There are quite a bit of stairs so be aware of that. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the shower was smallish and had no shelf to place shampoos, razors, etc.

Yelp
First things first. Olga's Fancy was a great place to stay before or after travel to STT. Close to both the ferry dock and the airport, it couldn't have been more convenient. Lot's of great dining within walking distance also. The setting is also lovely, perched on a hillside overlooking a harbor. Just beautiful. In the evening we took our beverages out by the pool and enjoyed the view. The proprietors were helpful, arranged for a taxi to tour a few places prior to leaving for the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. (There was a rather large bug that skittered across the room upon arrival that kind of freaked me out. A can of Raid in the room tells me it's happened before.) It's an older, casual place, so perhaps that's to be expected. Mentioned on the website are that there are stairs. Yes, there are. Might make it too difficult for some, but we managed fine. Hubby and I are in our 60's and in reasonable shape. YMMV. There are also lots of cats and chickens roaming the property. Roosters will make sure you won't miss an early morning flight. If you like cats, you're all set there too. Can't imagine there are mice there, though.

Yelp
This sweet hotel is a gem! The premise are well maintained. The rooms are spotless and decorated in Island Decor. The rooms have ocean views. Each morning the owners have coffee ready to enjoy. It's easy to sit around the pool or the deck and sip that coffee. The hotel is tucked away in a beach location but it seems so private. Next to the hotel is the best restaurant on the Island called Oceana. If you like small and cozy this is definitely the place. The hotel is walking distance to the town square area where the cruise ships arrive. We loved it as you can tell! We met up with a group of friends to go sailing and we all stayed there.

Yelp
Owners are very nice and the hotel is amazing! We had an ocean view, I rarely left the balcony our entire stay here. Wish I could have stayed longer 10/10 would come back and highly recommend.

Yelp
We loved our stay here! The staff was kind and thoughtful, and even upgraded our room just because they were able to. We loved seeing the cats and chickens, and we enjoyed being within walking distance of several restaurants. This was a great welcome on our first trip to St. Thomas! However, definitely be forewarned that there are quite a few steps you will need to take to get to your room.

Yelp
We loved our stay at Olga's Fancy!!! My new husband and I came for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The owner runs the front desk and was very helpful to us! Very kind, welcoming and affordable!

Yelp
An absolutely delightful hotel in the Frenchtown neighborhood of Charlotte Amalie. Funky, charming, peaceful, relaxing, it was a joy to return to after each day's adventures around the island. It's located on a hill, so from our room at the top we looked out over the sea, the city, and the harbor with all its lovely boats. And the breezes kept us cool. The hosts Eddie and Candy were so nice, friendly, and helpful, with great suggestions for anything you want. The hotel has a very nice pool, with plenty of tables and chairs around, all with great views. If you're looking for a gleaming ultra-modern hotel with over-priced amenities and glass elevators, go somewhere else! But if you're looking for the perfect island style, Olga's Fancy is your place.

Yelp
Thank you very much Olga's for making our Wedding week perfect. While St. Thomas has few beach side resorts this one is not..BUT its better then ANY of the rest!!.. You can be anywhere on the Island within 20 minutes if you stay here and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Candy and Eddie are the best host ever in this industry... they deserve all the accolades possible. If you are used to having someone wipe your nose at every turn then this is not for you.. so stay away and don't ruin it for the rest of us... But if you appreciate hard work and caring people and good company then this is the place to be. Know ahead of time the following.. You don't need a car but it helps.. There are stairs, cats and chickens.. bring a collapsible cooler for ice if you need ice and leave your hangars at home.. they have plenty. The pool is perfect, The Morning coffee is yummy and roof top hideaway is perfect for a night cap. If your thinking of getting Married on the Island and dont want to spend a ton of $$.. use Island Bliss wedding company and STAY HERE !!

Yelp
Love this place. Great location and clean rooms. Close to Town but not too close. Great restaurants in the area. Nice pool.

Yelp
I was very pleased with Olga's. I am 71 & my girlfriend is 68. We were warned about the stairs & no elevator. There are roughly 3 flights of stairs (maybe 10 steps per flight). My girlfriend & I handled the stairs easily. The view from the room & pool were well worth the hike up the stairs. The manager/owner was wonderful in every regard. Lot's of hot water in the shower & terrific water pressure. Just a short 10 minute drive to the airport. I would most certainly stay at Olga's Fancy hotel again. There is a super-duper restaurant called Oceana right at bottom of Olga's stairs.

Yelp
We stayed here for a night during our stopover in Saint Thomas. Some friends of ours had been here in 2018 and were very positive about it so we decided to go with their recommendation. As others have said the rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is nice and the location is excellent. You're out of the noise of Charlotte Amalie but close enough that you can walk to downtown easily. Room prices seem to be about what you'd expect relative to the typical cost of accommodations in Saint Thomas. What really makes this place special are the lovely couple who run it. The woman at the desk was extremely friendly and was full of helpful advice about where to go during our brief time on the island. All of her recommendations were spot on and we had a great time during our one night stay.

Yelp
Great customer service, great views, close to Main St. I will be returning. The owners of this hotel knows the island and doesn't hold back on giving great suggestions on where to eat or just hang out.

Yelp
Travel cancelled due to positive Covid tests for multiple members of our travel party. Even though we cancelled 3 days in advance, this hotel was unwilling to refund any of the prepaid reservation, nor even extend any amount of credit towards a future booking. We travel to the VI every chance we get and I assure you we won't stay at this place on any future trips.

Yelp
The lady who owns this place was so rude to us. They have a huge overpopulation of chickens and cats around the hotel. I picked up one of the hens for 5 seconds and gently put her down. She was completely fine. The owner came out and rudely said, "those are wild chickens. Do NOT pick them up..they will attack you! Do NOT pick them up!" And then stormed away. First of all, I grew up with chickens and no, a hen isn't going to attack you because you picked it up. Second, that's not the way you speak to your guests. Third, if they're wild chickens, it's really not your business whether I pick them up or not. Period. Overall, the hotel is old, dirty, dated, and not worth the money. The man who owns the place seems to be nice..but his wife was uptight and didn't even ask us how our stay was and didn't thank us for staying. She just seemed pissy all the time and lacked customer service skills. The only thing they've got going for them is the view from some of the rooms. If I return, I will not be staying at Olga's-not-so-fancy and do not recommend this place.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem! We came in a day early before our chartered boat. Stayed the night after a long day of flying from California. We were greeted so warmly and shown to our room over looking the bay. Made ourselves a cocktail and took a dip in the pool. We walked to dinner and stopped at a few places for appetizers and drinks, so beautiful. The people here are the sweetest. The rooms are not fancy, but very cottage style and quaint and very clean! They put out coffee and Baily's at 7 every morning. There are two cottages right on the water, we would have stayed there if we had known. You can watch the sea planes take off. Enjoy!

Yelp
We needed to stay one night in St. Thomas by the airport on our return from St. John. Our Air B n B host recommended this spot. We were so lucky. What a charming little hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle, and just made our last night an extension of the experience we had on St. John for a week. Walked to a couple of close by spots for drinks, snacks and then dinner. Cute friendly cats and sweet, clean rooms in a picturesque setting on the water.

Yelp
We had a great stay at Olga's fancy! The rooms are clean and comfortable and have amazing views of the water. The staff was fantastic, very helpful, pleasant to chat with. We will make a point to stay here in the future.

Yelp
We stayed at Olga's Fancy twice last month at the front end and the tail end of our barefoot cruise. The lady owner was there the first visit and the husband was there on the second visit. The Good: This is a wonderful location, beautiful water views, very reasonably priced and with clean, nice rooms. The pool is well maintained and the property is well kept and super clean. The lady who owns the property is super attentive and super sweet. The Bad: There were multiple Roosters that live on and around the property that were making incredible noise starting at about 4am. A good night sleep was next to impossible. You have to go up 5 or 6 flights of external stairs to get to your room. The gentleman that owns the facility is a total jerk with a chip on his shoulder. I witnessed 2 other guests who arrived around the same time as us have to navigate the stairs, an older lady with a disability, stroke perhaps, and a family with a child with what appeared to be stricken with cerebral palsy. The owner husband just sat up front and provided no assistance. I did run into him at the corner bar at about 5 pm that evening and I asked him about having to check in so early (front desk closes at 6) and his response was "If you don't like it you can pack up and stay somewhere else". My girlfriend was totally blown away at his obnoxious and inappropriate behavior. Such a customer service guru he is. I gave it 3 stars because his wife is a real sweetheart and knows how to take care of guests and the location is very, very good. My strong recommendation to the sweet, sane lady proprietor is to keep the husband hidden from customers, out of the bar during working hours and get rid of the birds.

Yelp
It is a a little worn and dated but for the price it is clean and decent location, so it met expectations. Eddie was very nice and laid back and kept things simple. He texted the day of arrival to ask about our arrival flight and anticipated arrival time. Our room was ready for us even though we got there very early. That was sweet. The parking area is not paved so was full of puddles; we were there in Sept when it rains a fair amount. This may not be a problem during the high season. There were a ton of stairs to get to our room and we had a heavy suitcase so that was unexpected. No restaurant on site but they provide morning coffee. The only negative was that an owner or staff person was walking their dog in the evening right where they told my husband to park after 7pm. He moved the car and when he got out, stepped in dog poo. I wish they would have cleaned up after their dog; that was unpleasant.
