Olifants Rest Camp

Nice location and rooms but unwelcoming staff and bad food. Reception was very unfriendly and make you feel like you are disturbing them. The food was was too salty and the waitress didn't even ask why we almost didn't touch our plates. Would be a great camp if the staff was more welcoming and if the food improves.

The viewpoint is great||The accomodation was terrible. The kitchen/sitting area had several birds nests in the roof above and this meant a constant rain of grass and feces into the food prep area||The airconditioners were so noisy we had to take sleepi g pills to sleep||definitely stay away from unit 18

Olifants rest camp we stayed in a chalet for 2 nights beautiful views over the Olifantes River it's really a beautiful location. The reason for the 2 stars were for the rooms were that the walls cabinet fridge door handle and bathroom we're dirty we bought bleach at the store to clean everything. The bed was neat and tidy towels were clean and kitchen utensils. Overall it was a great experience.

We had such an incredible experience at the restaurant in Olifants Rest Camp. The food was delicious, the atmosphere peaceful, and what truly made our visit unforgettable was the staff.||Linda, the baker, is an absolute star. You must try the granola for breakfast— she makes the granola in house. You can taste the love and skill in her work.||Our servers, Sophia and Miracle, were just as amazing. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, making us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. Their service elevated the entire experience and left us smiling long after our meal.||If you’re visiting Kruger, do yourself a favor and stop here. The view is stunning, the food is fantastic, and the staff makes it feel special. Highly recommend!

Hi guys,|Stunning views over the Olifant-river. There is a spacious lookout. At the moment it is under renovation. Outside dining is top notch. 10 km away is the bridge. It is allowed to get out. So leave your car and enjoy.|The bungalows are standerd, but the had everything I needed:|beds, fridge, shower, kettle, toaster, kitchenette.|Best views: bungalos BD2V|The Warning: Bungalows 19....24 are on the perimeter, But they do not have views. |View is blocked by bushes. And there is no gardener to trim them. It is a pity|regards|schliek

The rest camp is beautifully situated on a hill. Even if you don't stay overnight, it's worth a visit for the view. ||There's a small supermarket, a souvenir shop, gasstation and a very nice restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. ||The cottages are reasonably comfortable but quite basic. There's an outdoor kitchen with a braai and a baboon-proof refrigerator. |Hot water with reasonable water pressure, towels, etc., are provided. The bed has plenty of warm blankets. ||The restaurant has fair prices and serves excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere.|| The surrounding nature is magnificent.||We stay here two nights.

Maybe a 2 star at best, after already paying a conservation fee at another camp, being told when we checked in “oh no sir, we need another R580” or whatever it was for conservation is pretty pathetic for a national park, add it onto my reservation that I overpaid for because the damn website doesn’t work (where everything was included and would’ve cost me R3000 less than the phone system). Also giving me a paper bag that holds exactly 3 budgie feathers in the shop is a waste of resources

The camp sits high on a ridge overlooking the Olifants River, and the views are absolutely breathtaking, we loved every moment of it. We stayed in a bungalow with an old, very noisy air conditioner that sounded like it was on its last leg, but it still did the job. The location was convenient, right next to the communal kitchen, which made it easy to get our coffee early in the morning. That said, the place is definitely in need of some renovations, as the facilities are showing their age.
