The location of this hotel is fantastic! Olimpo is right on the water with access to a small beach. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony and a beautiful view of the ocean. From the hotel, we could walk all around Isla to dine at restaurants, do some shopping and swim. The rooms were clean with standard fixtures and amenities you would find in most hotels. The only negative I can say about our stay was that there was a terrible smell of chemicals in the bathroom. A scented chemical was automatically being sprayed into the back of the toilet tank every few minutes by a battery powered device. The chemical smell was so thick that we could taste it in our mouths. I turned off the automatic chemical sprayer which helped a little, but we slept with the balcony door open to get fresh air so we wouldn't smell the fake cherry chemical smell. Other than that, we had a great time at Hotel Olimpo and I would certainly return for another stay!

It’s not the most attractive hotel but it is in a great position close to the beautiful beach and with good car parking. The rooms are twin beds pushed together but the beds were comfortable enough. The major problem was that the air conditioning didn’t work and although the weather wasn’t particularly hot, it still made for an uncomfortable night. The linen was okayish, but the towels poor. There was a safe and minibar (soft drinks) in the room. For the price - €100, it was good value but I wouldn’t want to stay there for more than a couple of nights.

We holidayed in Spain on a coach holiday with a local company we use offer . The hotel was wonderful situated over looking a king beach and river . The food in the hotel varied from fish to pork and paella all served by a great bunch of waiters . !!!

On the 24th of May, I had the honour of witnessing my sister’s wedding at the breathtaking Hotel Olimpo, located in the beautiful coastal town of Isla, Cantabria. This venue is truly a hidden gem perched right by the sea, with panoramic views that turn every moment into a postcard. The ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the ocean. The setting was magical and romantic, serene, and unforgettable. The floral arch, blue and white arrangements, and warm sunlight created a perfect atmosphere for the couple’s special vows. The team at Hotel Olimpo were outstanding. Every staff member from the waiters to the bartenders was extremely polite, fast, and attentive. Service was smooth and professional, and every guest felt welcomed and well cared for. The food was delicious: a fresh seafood starter, a tender, flavourful steak with sauces served in tasting glasses, and beautifully presented desserts. The DJ, music, and celebration kept the energy joyful into the evening, under a ceiling of chandeliers and heartfelt cheers. If you’re planning a wedding in Spain, Hotel Olimpo is a dream come true. Elegant, coastal, and filled with charm it’s a memory I’ll never forget. 💍🇪🇸 #HotelOlimpo #CantabriaWedding #DestinationWedding #IslaSpain #24May2025

A stunning location and beautiful rooms with balconies and views. All meals were fantastic, worthy of Mitchelin rating. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon at the same time as a wedding party so incredibly busy. But the hospitality staff found a table and took our order. The wedding celebrations were in separate buildings, so it was nice to watch the fun from a distance without being inconvenienced. Friendly staff We would go out of our way to stay there again.

We were a coach trip of 48 and had a fabulous 7 night stay at this hotel and the location is amazing, the rooms were excellent plus the facilities. But what made the experience for us was the incredible friendly staff who were so hospitable and the wonderful food that we had.|Would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying or touring Cantabria

This hotel made out holiday. The rooms are a little tired but comfortable and we had a fabulous view over the pool and sea. ||There was plenty of choice for breakfast, but it was the same every day. Good quality food. There is a cheerful bar where you can get Spanish type snacks and their G and T was bowl over strong. (6 Euros)||It has a pretty garden overlooking the sea and while we were there they had 4 weddings in three days! However, they did not disturb us, in fact it was great to look at the guests while having a glass of wine above. ||As the Spanish (and the hotel and resort are very Spanish) do not drink much tea they do not provide a kettle and tea and coffee in the rooms. I kicked myself as I could easily have brought the travel kettle from home.||It's a smashing place - you do have to wade a river to get to the beach, but if that is not for you there is a road that takes about 15 mins to walk. ||Recommended.
