Olinda Rio Hotel

Great location on Copacabana Beach, close to restaurants and shopping. If you get a room with a view of the beach, it’s beautiful. The breakfast is included and had lots of options for any diet. Good services and friendly staff. Great A/C and wifi connection was included and good. I asked the staff to clean the door and light switch of our washroom as it was not clean. They were super quick at cleaning the issue. Hotel is a little dated. Rooms are spacious but could use a deep clean and a paint job. Price point to what you get is relatively good. It’s definitely a family and seniors friendly place.

I am extremely happy with last minute decision that I canceled another 4 stars beach front hotel booking due to those horrifying reviews and chose to stay at Olinda Rio, the 3 stars hotel with more promising reviews, better rates, better price. The reception staff are very friendly and supportive during my 2 days’ stay. Ivan gave me very good impression about Olinda Rio Hotel on my arrival. One door guy is helping me with my packing and two ladies are very patient and kind with my questions when I reached out. We all say the front desk is the face of the hotel. So true. Then the Cleanliness! Especially the bathroom, the vanity, the area around the taps, the sink bowl drain hole, the toilet roll quality (not cheap quality. Some hotel with the cheap quality that you even cannot pull it as it easily broken) And no water accumulation at all in the shower during use!!!😂😂😊😊 I wish I took the photos. Breakfast area: clean, reasonable varieties. My only suggestion is that maybe add salad in future after all not all of us are having sweet tooth😁 Location: unbeatable P.s I am in accomodation industry as well. That is why I could be picky. But I would say Olinda Rio performs extremely well compared to what I have paid. And I hardly spend my precious holiday time to write lengthy reviews. But if my feedback helps you when you are lost in many options, I am happy to do it.

Top quality hotel. Marcelo at the reception was great. I had early check in and late check out by one hour and Marcelo facilitated both. Rooms, linen and bathroom are all clean. Breakfast has lots of options. Overall a very convenient hotel.

great location, get a room with a sea view, lots of nearby shops, bars and restaurants, just the hotel is a little tired needs a refit in rooms and bathroom buts its only a 3 star, the breakfast spread is wonderful and staff are great and yes english is spoken

Excellent location. The staff were friendly and professional.|My room had a great view looking over to the beach. Traffic noise at night wasn't too bad. Everything worked fine. The bed had clean linens and afforded me a comfortable sleep.|The bathroom had good hot water and pressure.|Breakfast was adequate.|

Perfect location, beautiful seaview. Nice clean hotel, with delicious bufet breakfast . Extra point for the luggage storage ;)

I stayed at the Olinda Rio Hotel on 3/9-12. I greatly enjoyed my stay. The location is amazing as Copacabana Beach is right across the street. The dining room is gorgeous with huge windows so you can people watch or look at the beach while you eat your dinner, lunch, or breakfast. It’s an older hotel that has clearly been well kept. My room was nice and spacious and clean and cozy. The room’s fridge was stocked and there were chilled glasses in the fridge which was such a lovely touch. Moreover, the staff were so helpful, warm and welcoming. Marcus(front desk), Pitagna(front desk), and Fabricio(reservations) were kind and helpful. They were very personable. It’s oftentimes obvious if workers aren’t treated well or don’t like their job. That didn’t seem like the case here at all. Everyone was so kind and pleasant. I would absolutely stay again if I ever returned to Rio. Also felt safe as a female solo traveler. I do have a few complaints. The doors aren’t soundproof so if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs. I couldn’t hear my neighbors much but I could hear the hustle and bustle of the morning “rush” in the hallways. The bathroom had a bit of a sewage type of smell. Not horrible but noticeable. It helped to open the window. Despite these I would still return as I really enjoyed my stay. I booked on Booking.com but can’t figure out how to post this review there so I came to google.

Pretty good hotel, all friendly and nice If only they had good coffee for breakfast....

Will stay again!! Fair prices, great staff that speak English if you don't speak Portuguese (I do). Nicely renovated vintage style hotel with AC, hot water and great pressure for showers, some rooms have bathtubs, very clean, right on Copacabana beach and close to everything (walking distance). Oh and an AMAZING buffet breakfast included!!!
