This place is amazing! Surprised that I don’t see more people here and the hostess is great and so friendly! I definitely recommend trying the Capretta — my favorite sandwich in Santa Barbara— and then ordering an espresso for afterwards!

Definitely don't go for that great looking croissant in the pictures. They don't sell those.

Rice balls are our favorite but everything is good. Just simple high quality food. It’s also fun to go into the little market part and find unique foods to take home.

We grabbed sandwiches to go on our drive back down to Los Angeles. Seemed like everyone was eating outside on a beautiful day! The staff were helpful and very welcoming. We ordered a cold and hot sandwich. The Caprese, and Cotto Muffeletta... Okay, both are on crispy fresh focaccia the caprese was so fresh so creamy and so dreamy. The cotto muffeletta on the other hand was so sharp salty and unctuous in all the good ways! I couldn't get enough of the mix of mustard and olive tapenade. 10 out of 10! I'm just sad I'd have to travel all the way up to Santa Barbra from Hermosa to have it again.

OMG! Everything was so delicious, I highly recommend this wonderful Bodega! I had the turkey avo sandwiches ch on focaccia bread, so good and fresh!

This place is amazing! I have lived here for 16 years and always drove past this little area. Thanks to my daughter's friend who recommended this place we would have never came. The staff is amazing and welcoming, the food is out of this world! Take the time to eat here you won't regret it. We even bought some pasta and pasta sauce along with a case of the Sicilian limonata!

Highly disappointed at my experience. I was excited to try their sandwiches as it had been recommended to me by a local. The woman providing service was tending to four tables and I was there only for a sandwich and a few of their lovely food staple items. I paid for my sandwich and a bag of pasta, a small jar of pesto and a jar of marinated artichokes- total $57.00, plus tip! I was waiting for my sandwich, browsing the store and saw a couple more items I wanted to purchase. I could see she was busy and I patiently waited, told her to take her time. I went to use the bathroom, came back out and she rudely told me she knew I was waiting for her to pay for my last couple items but she was too busy to ring me up. I offered to leave the cash for them and she said no, she needed to ring them up but was too busy. What?? You're telling a paying customer you don't have time for them?? Don't want your money, your business? Or maybe it's that she didn't care to have me in their establishment? She left a terrible taste in my mouth. I no longer want to eat any of what I purchased and will tell friends, family and business associates of this experience and to avoid this establishment when in SB. This merits ZERO stars.

This is my second time back and I ordered the recommended pork belly sandwich again cause it was so delicious and the service along with the espresso while waiting is definitely worth writing another report. The restaurant inside is very beautiful and a lot of Culture along with tasty treats for the holidays as gifts.

Delicious hot sandwiches- we ordered the pork belly and serving was big. It can be shared . Eva is so nice and attentive . My son said Isaac beer was good. They also have a store where you can buy Italian grocery food items. We were seated in the patio area and it was a beautiful day to be out. They offer outdoor heating if needed. Definitely will come back next time when I am in the area .

Great food, vine and beer. We had marinated olives (olive Della casa) mare chiaro pizza, eggplant (parm affair), chicken sandwich (testa di rapa), lasagneta Ferraris. Vine was Nero d'Avola. Everything was exquisite. Service is like you are only customer. Very personal.

My boyfriend had the best homemade lasagna here he loved it. My veggie sandwich was too salty. The salad was fresh. There's not enough vegan options for me. It was a one woman show. Our waitress was amazing and so sweet. She was handling 6 tables by herself.

I love the food!! So tasty I'll def come back again. The outdoor patio has a casual vibe, and it's lovely to hear ppl's chats abt how much they enjoyed this place. The server was also super sweet! She even gave me a piece of free chocolate cookie afterwards

This mediocre sandwich was $19...the lady was super rude too. Skip this place it isn't worth it.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We enjoyed every last bite of our lunch! The service was amazing, the flavors were everything, and the shop inside is super cute. We got the Caprese grilled with Burrata, the Hi Maria! Porchetta, and the naughty Sicilian potatoes as recommended by the waitress. I'll definitely stop by again next time i'm in Santa Barbara 10/10!

Absolutely deeeeeeeelish. I went during a lunch rush and opted for takeout and while I was sitting waiting for my food the woman working reminded me of an auntie or something the way she fussed over my standing and demanded I take a seat and relax while I waited (I was waiting against the wall). It made me chuckle. I got a sandwich and those crispy potatoes. The sandwich was next level. So fresh and delicious and clean and to the point! The potatoes were okay, honestly it was my mistake getting crispy potato's to go and letting them sit in the container to get a little soft on the drive home. They are definitely made to be eaten there as soon as they come out of the kitchen but truly the sandwich was so great. I wanted to go again before I left town and didn't have time but would seriously consider the 4 hour drive back to SB just to get one and have a quick overnight trip.

Reminded me of home. We shared the Capocollo sandwich and the Betto salad. It was true and authentic and the flavours were *chefs kiss!* Service was absolutely amazing and the setting was quiet, cute and secluded but close. We will be going back.

Ooohhhh the sandwiches are mouthwatering delicious. My mouth is salivating just as I write and think about those sandwiches. Located on Victoria, a mini escape to Italy where you can take some supplies home and eat lunch and have a cocktail or coffee or both. The hi Maria porchetta has tender pork belly with each bite never missing a beat of flavor. They have a variety of artisanal Italian beers to choose from as well as cocktails. The appetizers are generous portion. The ollieve de la casa is basically olives with garlic that you can spread on toasted bread. I recommend adding the spicy oil. Overall the ambiance is nice- outside seating mainly, and the service is friendly. Just be patient as usually it is only one person taking the orders and bringing the food to the table.

Olio is a gem! We came for brunch and I was beyond impressed by the food. The calabrisella mia sandwich was incredible. Crusty bread and delicious meat. I tried my boyfriend's tartufato sandwich and it was equally good. The prosciutto was incredible! We were able to try some pastries after our meal and those were great as well. To drink they have beers and spritzes. Both the elderflower and limoncello spritzers were amazing. They have a cute patio set up outside so the vibes were nice. Our server was friendly and funny. She was perfectly attentive so we never felt we needed anything, but we never felt rushed either. Overall an excellent experience!

Two visits here and my review hasn't changed. I'd definitely come back for no frills Italian food and you can enjoy it on the patio while watching the world go by. Location: On State Street that had pedestrian only traffic allowed. Parking are in nearby streets or parking lots located behind the buildings (first 75 inutes are free). Food: The Valtellina was a bit on the salty side, but tasty and filling. The arancini is pork meat surround by potato, shaped into a cone and fried. Iliked this one and wish I had gotten more than 2. The Hi! Maria Porchetta sandwhich was porky, fatty and oh-so delicious. Definitely one to get again. Summary: This is a low key cafe like place located in a patio-like setting on State Street. Although the same owners as the other Olio's located around it, this one is casual and not pretentious. The food here is awesome and the store inside is like stepping into an Italian local market store in a small town in Italy. You can get your food to go or you can sit and eat in the patio right in front of the shop. Been here twice and can't agree with the 1 star review. Service was attentive, polite and personable. Both times I've received excellent service. Happy eating!!

I have never seen this 'fancy' parchment paper put underneath HOT cheesy potatoes to where you have to peel it off? The paper had stuck to the potatoes to where it was inedible which was sad because the one bite I had was flavorful. Very unfortunate.

One of our favorite spots in town. Great pizzas and espresso. The service is amazing, very friendly helpful staff. If we go to the restaurant we enjoy a more sit down fancy meal, but often do take out from the Bottega for a picnic.

Wanted an Italian sandwich and was headed up to Santa Barbara, so I looked through Yelp and found Olio Bottega. It is a tiny Italian store, attached to an Italian restaurant. I ordered a caprese and something called naughty Sicilian potatoes. The caprese was really good, the focaccia had a great texture, the mozzarella was fresh and the prosciutto was a nice bit of saltiness. But the potatoes...those were terrific. Roasted potatoes, sprinkled with mozzarella, and served with a pesto Trapanese were so good. The sandwich and the potatoes together were a lot of good, but I could stop until I finished. Service was fast and friendly as well.

What a charming spot! And the focaccia bread sandwiches? Omg. We had the caprese and mortadella ones. Incredible across the board, but we were particularly blown away by how amazing the bread and overall balance of the sandwiches were. Perfect lunchtime patio experience. Don't miss it!

We've been coming to all three establishments for many years. We've even introduced family members to it. great food in an absolutely authentic style. My daughter has spent time in Procida, Italy. the food here is absolutely on par with the real thing. Dining alfresco in Santa Barbara is never a bad idea either!

My friend and I shared a Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella and eggplant panini. She ordered house Chardonnay and I a Negroni spritz made with barrel aged Negroni! Everything was delicious and the house olive oil on the table was so delicious, I could drink it. Our server, a lovely woman with a delightful Italyan accent, was attentive and helpful. We lunched alfresco after the rush so we had our server and patio all to ourselves, perfect weather shade by umbrellas.,

Best sandwiches outside of Italy. These are so authentic and delicious. Bread is perfect, the sauces are amazing, and they are large and filling. Ambiance is casual and service is laidback and kind. 100% recommend as a must visit lunch spot in Santa Barbara. Go to for visitors.

A lovely place to flash back to your favorite italian cafe. The food is tasty, the beverage selection (from Italy) is wide ranging and fun. The service is done by the proprietors.. so do NOT come for a fast food quick lunch. DO stop here often for authenticic focaccia.. a wide range of Italian beer.. relaxed dining.. a great experience...right in the heart of Santa Barbara'a dining center.... There are fancier places near by if you are looking for a dress-up experience.. but when you can have a relaxed meal that tastes fantastic uous should make the time to travel back to Italy and stay in Santa Barbara.

Everything here is beyond perfect!! Eva was so amazing, she was moving through 9 tables and still made the experience feel so personable! The food and drinks were yummy and the little shop was so adorable! Will definitely come back here every time i'm in the area!

We were looking for a place to stop and have a refreshment. The wine selection and the cocktails were delicious. The woman working was very friendly and hilarious. This place is fantastic!

Lovely and delicious experience today at Olio Bottega. Stand out for us was the Caponata with burrata and it was absolutely perfect. Tender eggplant, crunchy ratatouille and creamy burrata was well balanced and super flavorful. Kind and thoughtful service made us feel at home and a welcome friend. We commented that this was setting up really big expectations for our girls weekend. Hope all our other spots live up to this little gem. We look forward to returning soon!

This place is such a gem in SB. The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect with a great selection of Italian music. The service was also awesome, I wish I had gotten our server's name as she was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Such a great spot with wonderful service, amazing food & coffee, and I'd argue the best Aperol Spritz in town! We had the Capocollo sandwich and Parma pizza - both delicious. We also got some pastries and tiramisu for the table, they were so yummy we finished them even though we were already full. 12/10, will definitely be back!!

Olio did not disappoint! We just happened to walk by and the food and service immediately made an impression on us. This is definitely a place you don't want to rush. Sit back and relax and enjoy their delicious house made barrel aged Negroni. The focaccia Paninis were so good and the cannoli was such a good finish to our meal. Best we've ever had! Eva, our server was absolutely wonderful! She made our entire experience so enjoyable!

The sandwiches get a chef's kiss from me! My two favorites are the Finocchiona and Hi Maria! Porchetta. Hands down my favorite sandwich shop in SB with the best service one could ask for. I feel like family when I come to pick up a sandwich to go or dine in.

Great place. Eva is terrific ! Love their authentic Italian food, especially the sandwiches and the Italian condiments sold at the counter.

I've been coming here for over a year now. The food is great, essentially meat and cheese sandwiches made with quality imported or local ingredients. The desserts are some of the best pastries in town, and the host is very professional and polite. Not sure what the one star review was referring to, but this place is pretty far away from the touristy spots and equal to if not better than the other Italian spots in town per quality and service. I'll keep coming back as long as I live here.

The caponata with burrata is mouth-watering! I keep coming back for it again and again. The ricotta-filled pastry and machiatto is a great way to finish off a meal.

Best sandwiches in Santa Barbara! Rustic, authentic and with amazing attention to detail and fresh ingredients! Amazing ambiance across from public market away from hustle bustle of lower State. Eva is amazing and super professional! As locals, this is our go-to place for Sunday late breakfast and lunch.

Lunch-Bocca di Rosa-food excellent-sandwiches & Dinner-Lasagnetta Ferranese evening for spouse's dinner. Cappuccino, dessert wonderful. Bread & rolls for dinner great tasting. Husband enjoyed meal I brought home for his dinner-plate clean when finished. Our waitress was so great-she was kind, funny, helpful & overall a wonderful addition to the Bottega. My route home from UPS on Anapamu goes by the parklet & never realized it was there. I plan to return to do some shopping for cooking meals at home. Life is pretty much "just stay at home" - we live on the Riviera so why go out? This is one place I will recommend to friends & return to myself. Best find in SB & open at 9:30 for breakfast. No way will I pass another opportunity to return. We've eaten at Olio e Limone dinner & at Olio Pizzeria both are excellent choices for meals. These restaurants have been here for awhile & now that I've returned I find they are just as good as I remember.

I love this fun & casual addition to the Olio trio. The menu has great variety, it's fast & delicious. The service is always great and friendly. This restaurant is a must try! It has become a regular in our restaurant rotation, as there's something for everyone.
